BIG & RICH TO HEADLINE RIAA/MUSICIANS ON CALL INAUGURAL BENEFIT

COUNTRY SUPERSTAR DUO BIG & RICH TO HEADLINE RIAA/MUSICIANS ON CALL INAUGURAL BENEFIT
WASHINGTON, D.C. (December 20, 2016) – Country music superstar act Big & Rich will be the headlining entertainment at the Recording Industry Association of America’s (RIAA) second-ever inauguration charity event benefiting Musicians On Call. The hit duo will perform their set at the 9:30 Club the evening of the presidential inauguration on Friday, January 20, 2017.

Comprised of Big Kenny and “Celebrity Apprentice” winner John Rich, Big & Rich have exerted a definitive gravitational pull to the direction modern country music has taken. Known as “America’s Technicolor cowboys,” Big & Rich have made a career of being relatable and musically relevant since exploding into the public consciousness in 2003. Their 2004 debut studio album Horse of a Different Color shot to RIAA triple-Platinum and included smash hit “Save a Horse (Ride a Cowboy),” while their latest album Gravity scored three back-to-back-to-back Top Ten country hits with “Look at You,” “Run Away With You,” and “Lovin’ Lately” featuring Tim McGraw. Meanwhile, their hit “Comin’ to Your City” is nearing a decade as the theme song for ESPN’s College GameDay.

“Musicians On Call brings the healing power of music to the bedsides of patients in healthcare facilities nationwide,” said Pete Griffin, President of Musicians On Call. “We are so grateful for RIAA’s long term support of our mission and to be the charitable beneficiary of Big & Rich’s performance in Washington, DC.”

About Musicians On Call (MOC):
Musicians On Call (MOC) was founded in 1999 at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in NYC by Michael Solomon and Vivek Tiwary, with the mission of bringing live and recorded music to the bedsides of patients in healthcare facilities ranging from children’s hospitals to adult facilities, VA hospitals and hospices. To date, its volunteers have played for nearly half a million people in New York, Los Angeles, Miami, Nashville, Philadelphia, Washington D.C., and Baltimore, with additional cities being continuously added. Musicians On Call continues its mission through room-to-room hospital performances by both local musicians and an esteemed list of national celebrities. MOC supporters over the years include Pharrell, Bruce Springsteen, Ed Sheeran, Lady Antebellum, James Taylor, Jessie J, Justin Timberlake, Gavin DeGraw and Imagine Dragons. OLD DOMINION CAPS YEAR WITH SOLD OUT INAUGURAL STAGECOACH SPOTLIGHT MEAT AND CANDY TOUR

OLD DOMINION CAPS YEAR WITH SOLD OUT INAUGURAL STAGECOACH SPOTLIGHT MEAT AND CANDY TOUR

With 180+ shows and RIAA Gold certified album, 2016 ACM New Vocal Group of the Year Wraps “on the cusp of superstardom” [Vice]

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – In their First Listen feature, NPR dubbed Old Dominion’s Meat & Candy “first-rate craftsmanship,” yet it was the band’s ability to bring those songs to life in their live show that led to the five-piece being selected for a unique partnership on the touring front -- and the first in history -- with Stagecoach. Aligning with “the biggest country music gathering in the world” (Los Angeles Times), Stagecoach tapping Old Dominion as part of the inaugural Stagecoach Spotlight Tour was just one in a series of major firsts for the band in what has been a breakout year. The partnership was overwhelmingly successful with 15 of Old Dominion's 33-dates, 28-states headlining Meat and Candy Tour stops co-branded with the festival powerhouse, all seeing the band playing to fully packed houses.

“It’s been ridiculous,” shares Old Dominion's frontman Matthew Ramsey. “To think of what all we have accomplished as a band… as performers, as songwriters… to connect on that level with so many fans, we’re just so thankful for what this year has brought.”

Just last month the album Entertainment Weekly called “deceptively smart” and “infectious,” Meat & Candy, was officially RIAA Gold certified in part due to the success of their newly cemented No. 1, “Song For Another Time,” the second chart-topper off their critically-acclaimed major label debut album.

With a 2016 show tally of 182 and over 60,000 fans rocked in North America on the Meat and Candy Tour alone (not including fans they played to on Kenny Chesney’s Spread The Love Tour), the band, comprised of lead singer Ramsey, lead guitarist Brad Tursi, multi-instrumentalist Trevor Rosen, bassist Geoff Sprung and drummer Whit Sellers, will kick-off 2017 joining Miranda Lambert on her Highway Vagabon Tour.

During
Full Military Honors Funeral Service Today at Arlington National Cemetery

(Arlington, VA) December 20, 2016 — The full military honors funeral service for U.S. Air Force Maj. Troy Lee Gilbert was held yesterday at 1:00 PM/ET at Arlington National Cemetery. Family friend Lee Brice paid tribute to Troy by delivering a moving version of “Go Rest High On That Mountain” during the private chapel service held in the Old Post Chapel on Joint Base Myer-Henderson Hall, attended by Troy’s mother and father, Kaye and retired Senior Master Sgt. Ron Gilbert; sister, Rhonda Jimmerson; wife, Ginger Gilbert Ravella; sons, Boston and Greyson; and daughters, Isabella, Aspen and Annalise.

Lee Brice first met Ginger Gilbert Ravella and her family at a Folds of Honor event in 2015.

“Lee and I connected over his song ‘I Drive Your Truck’ and I told him how much we, as fallen families, cling to pieces left of those we love,” says Ginger.

“Troy sold his old beloved truck for a new one about a month before he found out he was deploying. Things were starting to break on his old one, and he needed a reliable ride. Just a week before he took off for Iraq, he said ‘I think we need to sell my new truck. We really can’t afford to make payments while I am gone.’ So we sold it and he left. Years later when Lee’s song came out, it wasn’t the new truck I wished we still had. It was the old one; the one that belonged to Troy’s Dad first, the one Troy drove for years, the one I knew (my sons) Boston and Greyson would get a kick out of.”

“Singing at Troy’s funeral was a moment I’ll never forget.” Says Lee. “I’m grateful for Troy’s sacrifice and I admire Ginger and her family for their sacrifice, also. I can’t imagine what they went through and I’m honored to have been a part of this special moment with this incredibly strong family,” says Lee.

Maj. Troy Gilbert was killed when his F-16C Fighting Falcon crashed 20 miles northwest of Baghdad, Iraq, Nov. 27, 2006, while engaged in support of coalition ground combat operations. Gilbert, who was posthumously awarded
the Distinguished Flying Cross with Valor, deployed in September 2006 from Luke Air Force Base, Ariz., to the 332nd
Air Expeditionary Wing, Balad Air Base, Iraq. He was assigned as the 332nd Expeditionary Operations Group chief
of standardization and evaluation. On the day of the accident, he was flying with the 524th Expeditionary
Fighter Squadron.

About Lee Brice:
With his latest album, ‘I Don’t Dance,’ (9.14) Lee has scored two Billboard Country #1 smashes. “I Don’t Dance” and “Drinking Class,” with “That Don’t Sound Like You” earning a Top 10 chart position. As “one of the finest singer-songwriters country music has to offer” (USA Today), Lee has written songs
for artists including Garth Brooks' “More Than a Memory,” Tim McGraw's “Still,” the Eli Young Band's “Crazy Girl.”

Lee Brice released his debut album, ‘Love Like Crazy,’ in 2009. The title track reached #3 on the Billboard Country chart and set a record as the longest-charting song in that chart’s history.  In 2012, he topped his own success with ‘Hard 2 Love,’ an album that went Gold and featured three #1 Country singles, including “I Drive Your Truck,” which won Song of the Year at both the CMA and ACM Awards.  The record earned raves everywhere from NPR to Country Weekly and found the New York Times hailing him as “a sensitive macho man,” a compliment that perfectly encapsulates both sides of Brice’s persona. ‘Hard 2 Love’ also garnered Lee his late-night debut with a stirring performance of “I Drive Your Truck” on NBC’s “The Tonight Show.”

Brice took it a step further on his latest album, ‘I Don’t Dance’ (9.14), relishing the role of producer with a flair for experimentation, resulting in the album’s title track hitting #1 at radio the week the album came out.  Lee can currently be heard alongside long-time friend and label-mate, Jerrod Niemann, on Jerrod’s latest single, “A Little More Love.”  Lee will continue to tour through the fall while also writing and recording his fourth studio album slated for release in 2017 on Curb Records
