KIP MOORE ANNOUNCES HEADLINING
ME AND MY KIND TOUR SLATED FOR THIS
FALL WITH SPECIAL GUEST JON PARDI
Moore Set To Headline Nashville’s
As Part Of The Big 98’s Annual Guitar-B-Que
Benefitting St. Jude
Nashville, TN - June 20, 2016 - Multi - PLATINUM singer/songwriter Kip Moore revealed dates for his headlining ME AND MY KIND TOUR today, kicking off on 9/30 in Oklahoma City, OK. A constant road warrior that continues to be "met with more deafening applause” (CMT), the tour will see Moore visit cities across the US and Canada through early December and includes red-hot newcomer Jon Pardi. Fans can watch Moore and Pardi gearing up for the tour with some role-reversal antics here. With no signs of slowing down on the road, it was also announced last week that Moore will headline Nashville’s Ascend Amphitheater for The Big 98’s annual Guitar-B-Que on Aug. 10, a live concert and guitar auction to raise fundsfor St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. For a full list of tour dates and more information visit kipmoore.net.
“Being out on the road is where me and the band feel most at home,” said Moore. “Even though we’ve been nonstop already this year with the headlining shows in The UK and the Miranda tour, it just doesn’t feel natural to slow down, our live show is when we are in our element. I’m really looking forward to having the opportunity to test some new material that we’ve been working on out on the road and having Jon out with us too, I’m sure we’re going to get into some trouble out there.”

Moore recently returned from a sold-out string of headlining shows in The UK and Ireland and the singer/songwriter is currently on the road for Miranda Lambert’s Keeper Of The Flame Tour which will stop in Darien, NY (6/23) and Saratoga Springs, NY (6/24) this weekend. Hailed as a “career song” by Billboard, Moore’s current single “Running For You” continues to climb the charts and is taken from Moore’s critically acclaimed sophomore album WILD ONES, that Taste of Country deems is “tailored for his live show and the thousands of die-hard fans that pack theaters several times each week to see him,” and Huffington Post declares as “one heck of an album… set to produce hit after hit after hit.” WILD ONES follows Moore’s debut album UP ALL NIGHT which was certified GOLD by the RIAA and spawned three No. One hit singles including GOLD certified “Beer Money,” PLATINUM certified "Hey Pretty Girl," and the DOUBLE PLATINUM breakout hit "Somethin' 'Bout A Truck.”
About Jon Pardi:
California native Jon Pardi is undeniably country. His laid back, fun-loving approach towards life comes through in his music and his raucous live show, while his charisma and authenticity strike a chord with country audiences and fellow artists. Pardi recently released his sophomore album California Sunrise with its Top 10, Gold-selling lead single, “Head Over Boots.” California Sunrise is the follow-up to his highly-praised debut, Write You A Song, which features hits including the Top 10 RIAA Gold-certified single “Up All Night,” “When I’ve Been Drinkin’” “What I Can’t Put Down,” and Top 25 hit “Missin’ You Crazy.”

In ihrer Heimat Island haben KALEO den Status „Newcomer“ schon lang hinter sich gelassen und auch in den USA wird die Band bereits hoch gehandelt. Hier traten sie u.a. im März mit ihrem atmosphärischen Song „Way Down We Go “ in Conan O’Briens TV Show auf. Der Rolling Stone setzte die vier Isländer, die sich bereits aus Grundschulzeiten kennen und seit ihrer Jugend gemeinsam Musik machen, auf die Liste der „10 Künstler die Du kennen musst“ und die Huffington Post tönt: „Get ready for the sounds of KALEO”.

The Man I Am
Life Is A Mystery - Unwind - Wonderin' How Today Is Gonna Go - Old Fashion Makin's - Don't Give A Rip - The Man I Am - My Baby And Me - Poor Man Blues - Wife Of A Cowboy - The Old Narrow Gauge - I Can Only Love You - On My Way Home
Today is my great opportunity to listen to two very distinctive 'kinds' of western music. Bill Clark is a cowboy from Colorado, and his approach to western music, or cowboy music, whatever it might be called, is quite different from New Mexico cowboy songwriter/singer Doug Figg from New Mexico. The amazing thing for me is that I like both of these styles very much. Where Doug's is very western swing, Bill's is very country & western. Bill has been doing this for awhile too. From the mountains of Colorado this very down to earth composer and singer puts his strength in the pen on the paper, and then transferring it to a melody. The result of his methods, even in this age of 'everything' is what we hear on the radio, which of course is totally false. Bill Clark is a retrospective recall of what country and western music was all about in the very beginning of its 'genre' establishment. Bill is carrying on that tradition super well, and he used his own experiences to make it work for him. "Old Fashion Makin's" is the very epitome of what made 'country & western' such a popular genre when it was in its prime. I like the musicians Bill is using on this session, as a matter of fact his fiddler and electric guitar picker Randy Utterback is a good friend of mine. Originally from our own Midwest area, that same musician was the mover and shaker in the music behind the Desparadoes, a band formed by Waterloo, Nebraska, country & western singer Don Rogert. Ken Dravis is on guitar, keyboard, harmonica; Troy Eagle on banjo, mandolin, Dobro; Rob Labig on percussion; Kenny Daniels on bass; Vic Lawson on pedal steel; Mike Johnson on pedal steel; and Chris Nole on piano rounds out a really good session of incredibly good country and western music. I like Bill's philosophy a lot, he 'knows' what's happening in our comfortable world of 'real' cowboys, and horses, and farms, and corn, and small town life, and country cookin', and words that express how we live, what we think, what we see happening in the world of 'media control' in America. Bill knows all about this. He's a witness to the strange happenings that prevent gifted people from being heard. Sometimes the contents of a songwriters body of work tells us who he is. This CD is quite confidently telling us who Bill Clark, "The Man I Am" is really the 'real' Bill Clark and the 'real' man that he is. This CD has to go off to the Rural Roots Music Commission for their appraisal, and I would suggest they find some new ways to honor these gifted artists of the west, since Bill Clark is definitely one of those gifted artists.

A Cowboy Like Me
Old New Mexico Moon - Sittin' Here With You - Wild Horses - Viento Del Sur - A Cowboy Like Me - It Don't Matter Now - Those Old Days - Bein' A Cowboy - Play It For Me - Do You Believe In Angels - Can't You See - Everything That's Beautiful - Christmas For A Cowboy
For someone who has been in the music for some 70 years, it still absolutely amazes me how some authentic 'talent' in America has such a difficult time being 'discovered.' Doug Figgs is first off a wonderful, warm, authentic, very real songwriter. Songwriters are poets you know, and then they have the ability to add beautiful music to their poems, and the result is a masterpiece just as beautiful as an oil painting hanging on the wall at the Louvre in Paris, France. Just as beautiful as anything everyday American's hear on radio these days. The misfortune of all this is that money has overpowered the 'creative' America that so many of us remember, especially if we've been exposed to some of the great artists of our time. It also means there are more really gifted musical artists than there is opportunity to be heard by any large number of listeners. Doug Figgs has the good common sense of a real cowboy. He continues to do what he does to make a living and continue the life of who he is, a horseshoer, a cowboy, a songwriter, and of course a 'western' singer of his own songs. He's already accomplished quite a lot in that department taking "Western Song of the Year" from the New Mexico Music Awards. This particular CD is about as good as it gets, in two departments, songwriting ability and singing ability. Better add 'composition' to that, the melody lines are terrific. This is 'western' music as it was originally presented. It's so very hard to hang on to, keep, store away, keep alive, the very 'tradition' that makes something popular, famous, and well loved in the first place. For every single one of those genres of music, or music makers that created it in the first place, there are hundreds of thousands standing in line to take it's place with something else. What a world we live in, but none of this would be possible without the 'freedom' that America presently enjoys, and is on the cusp of whether it will continue to be part of our existence. For that very reason, a creative person like Doug Figgs continues his 'regular' work, but in every minute he has to enjoy his 'freedom of choice' he is creating original ideas, melodies, reasons for and reasons against of every word he drips on a page of a small notebook that becomes full of ideas and wonderful tunes. Whether the 'drips' are tears, blood, or just plain cowboy sweat, it's all Doug Figgs. Terrific CD, a full 5-plus. Off it goes to the Rural Roots Music Commission. I sincerely hope they hear what I hear, thank you Doug for such an exhilarating experience listening to you write, sing, play, communicate, share, and certainly enjoy.
