Nashville Concerts on July 3 and Family Fun Zone on July 4

More Live Music Added to Independence Day Festivities with Concert on July 3 and Family Fun Zone on July 4
Brandy Clark to Headline July 3 Entertainment

NASHVILLE – GRAMMY-nominated singer-songwriter Brandy Clark will headline July 3 festivities in a run up to Nashville’s annual July 4 concert and fireworks show, the Nashville Convention & Visitors Corp announced today. In all, the city’s Independence Day festivities will include two days, three stages and 15 live music acts – all free and open to the public. Nine-time GRAMMY-winner Sheryl Crow will headline on July 4 at the Let Freedom Sing! July 4 in Music City presented by Dr Pepper.

The Sunday, July 3 festivities will kick off at 3 p.m. at the Music City Stage located at The Green at Riverfront Park. Entertainment starts at 4 p.m. with DJ Du. Also on the bill are Shelly Colvin and Jason Eskridge. A five-minute fireworks show will cap off the live music at 9 p.m. on July 3.

Activities on Monday, July 4, will begin at noon with the McDonald’s® Family Fun Zone and live music stage located on and around the Bridgestone Arena Plaza, which will be open until 5 p.m. The Family Fun Zone Stage will feature the General Jackson Showboat performers, Jamie Kent, Les Kerr and The Bayou Band, and Scat Springs and Big Soul Band.

“Just as the fireworks show has grown to epic proportions, so has the music with the most live acts ever on three stages over two days,” said Ken Levitan, board chair of the Nashville Convention & Visitors Corp and co-president of Vector Management. “We can’t wait for everyone to come out and enjoy the best July 4 in Nashville with family-friendly activities, lots of great live music and one of the country’s biggest fireworks displays.”

As previously announced, Ruby Amanfu, Andrew Combs, Erin McCarley and Maddie & Tae will join Crow on July 4 on the Jack Daniel’s Stage at Ascend Amphitheater and the Music City Stage at The Green at Riverfront Park. DJ Coach will get the live entertainment started at 3 p.m. on the Jack Daniel’s Stage and at 4:55 p.m. a brief program will kick off the live music with a welcome from Mayor Megan Barry, the National Anthem from Ruby Amanfu and a patriotic recitation from Barry Scott.

Storme Warren will serve as emcee on the Jack Daniel’s Stage, and Kelly Sutton will host the Music City Stage. Crow will be joined by the Nashville Symphony, which will be under the direction of Chris Norton, on the Jack Daniel’s Stage at 9:20 p.m., and one of the country’s biggest fireworks shows will take place from 9:35 p.m. to 10:05 p.m. Two additional acts to perform on July 3 and July 4 are still to be announced. All artists and times subject to change.

Video screens will be placed at the old Riverfront Park so that spectators there for the fireworks can enjoy the live music. Additional screens will be placed on Broadway and at Walk of Fame Park and audio will be available at Public Square Park.

Let Freedom Sing! July 4 in Music City is produced by the NCVC for the city of Nashville. It is presented by Dr Pepper and partners include Advance Financial, Anderson Benson Insurance, Carl Black Chevrolet, Kroger, McDonald’s, Durango Boots, General Jackson Showboat, Lyft, Purple Heart Homes, Tennessee Highway Safety Office: Click It or Ticket, Twice Daily, Budweiser, Bud Light, Fetzer Vineyards and Jack Daniel’s.

Ronnie McDowell Appears On Tennessee Crossroads

Ronnie McDowell Appears On Tennessee Crossroads

Multi-talented Country Legend Gives Color To The Stories Behind His Artistry

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (June 2, 2016) – In a recent episode of “Tennessee Crossroads,” legendary country musician Ronnie McDowell explained the stories behind his prolific creative passions, and details a lesser known hobby that has people talking - painting. Click here to watch Ronnie’s segment and learn how his artwork fits into the bigger picture.

McDowell, known best across the country for his hit tracks like “Older Women” and “It’s Only Make Believe,” is currently touring in support of his latest venture - his autobiography entitled “Bringing It To You Personally,” which tells the incredible true stories of his career, including the life-changing moment he dazzled the world with his heartfelt and self-penned tribute song, “The King Is Gone,” in honor of Elvis Presley’s death. But when he’s not performing for his legion of fans, he’s busy creating works of art for them.

“The creative forces all intertwine - the songwriting, the art, the singing, the entertaining. To me, they all kind of just play together,” McDowell said.

Since his early years, Ronnie has always had an affinity and talent for painting. Over the years, he has amassed a number of fans solely for his artistic sensibilities, and continues to split his time creating new works of art. In fact, his work has grown so popular that, in 2015, it attracted the attention of a particularly magical organization. Ronnie then signed a 5-year contract to create works of art for iconic Disney characters.

For more information on Ronnie’s book, which includes more than 100 photos and personal stories about his friendships with everyone from George Jones to tourmate Conway Twitty, visit ronniemcdowellbook.com. Follow Ronnie McDowell on Facebook and Twitter.

ABOUT RONNIE MCDOWELL:
Following the death of Elvis Presley in 1977, Ronnie McDowell came out of nowhere to dazzle the world with his heartfelt and self-penned tribute song “The King Is Gone” on the independent Scorpion label. The record took off immediately, gaining airplay on country and pop stations across the country and around the world. To date, “The King Is Gone” has sold more than five million. McDowell charted more than thirty Top 40 hits on the Billboard country music charts. Two of his singles, "Older Women" and "You're Gonna Ruin My Bad Reputation," reached No. 1 on the country charts, while eleven more reached Top Ten. He has also released more than twenty studio albums. McDowell also achieved notoriety when he sang 36 songs on the soundtrack “Elvis,” the Dick Clark-produced television movie that featured Kurt Russell as the performer. He also was the singing voice for the television movie “Elvis And Me”, the ABC television series about the early years of Elvis’ career titled simply “Elvis” as well as, the 1997 Showtime special “Elvis Meets Nixon.” While Elvis Presley has played a big part in Ronnie McDowell’s musical career over the years, Ronnie continues to entertain audiences with his own blend of romantic intimacy and country excitement.

Nashville, TN (June 2, 2016)….Country Star Colt Ford hits the road today, June 2, on Brantley Gilbert’s 33-date “Take It Outside” summer ampitheatre tour along with country’s Justin Moore. The “Take It Outside” tour runs through October 15, 2016. Simultaneously, it was announced that Ford will be a celebrity brand ambassador for Affliction Clothing which has designed custom stage branding for Ford’s live show, signature apparel and artwork for his upcoming album.
Commenting on the tour, Ford said: “When Brantley and I first started, we dreamed of being able to do this. It has been awesome to see his success,“ Ford said. “I am excited to be a part of this tour, and also have another great friend in Justin Moore. There will not be a more rockin’ show than this one.”
Also excited about the new visual stage branding for his live shows and his collaboration with Affliction Clothing, Ford commented: “I’m proud to join Affliction’s team of brand ambassadors. Their passion, style and design are a perfect fit for me.”
“Affliction will be offering three signature tees, as well as providing artwork for Colt's new album, and stage branding,” said Affliction Clothing owner, Eric Foss. “We are very pleased Colt Ford has embraced our brand and joined us as an ambassador.
