LORRIE MORGAN TO RELEASE A PICTURE OF ME – GREATEST HITS & MORE ON MARCH 18

LORRIE MORGAN TO RELEASE A PICTURE OF ME – GREATEST HITS & MORE ON MARCH 18

Compilation Album Featuring New Recordings of Greatest Hits and Brand New Songs Follows First New Studio Album in Five Years, 'Letting Go… Slow', In Stores Now

Pre-Order On iTunes and Amazon!

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (March 1, 2016) – Good things come in pairs, and this season legendary country music songstress Lorrie Morgan celebrates two new album releases, back-to-back. Following the February 12 release of her first new studio album in five years, Letting Go… Slow, released by Shanachie Entertainment, Morgan will celebrate the juxtaposed March 18 drop of a brand new compilation album, A Picture Of Me – Greatest Hits & More. The new project is a product of Goldenlane Records, (a division of Cleopatra Records), a label that's been extremely active in the country music genre, having recently released new albums by such stars as the Oak Ridge Boys, Collin Raye, Little Texas and TG Sheppard, amongst others. A Picture Of Me – Greatest Hits & More is now available for pre-order on iTunes and Amazon.

Having lived a life of great loss and triumph, Morgan has been quoted saying, “In many ways, my life has been a country song.” In an article published by People Magazine Morgan revealed that although a lot of good things have happened to her, the tragedies have been overwhelming. Devastated by the loss of her father, country star George Morgan when she was just 16; and then the unexpected death of her husband and fellow country star Keith Whitley when she was in her late twenties, Morgan’s first years of career success were far from painless.

Her song “Dear Me” became her first Top 10 hit shortly after Whitley’s death, followed by “Out Of Your Shoes,” and “Five Minutes,” which both skyrocketed to No. 1. “Here I am,” she told People Magazine, “In this tragedy, and I had something I had wanted for so long, a hit record. And as much as I thank God, I say, ‘thanks, but please – make it a little easier.’” Through the years, Morgan has credited her audiences for being her therapists and helping her make it through those hard times through music.

Now, nearly two decades later, a wife, a mother, a grandmother, legendary country star and four-time Female Vocalist Of The Year, she says she is happier than ever, and two new music projects on the horizon are just icing on the cake.

Letting Go… Slow is all new music about where I am right now and what all I’ve been through and was forced to learn about all along this crazy journey called life, and A Picture Of Me – Greatest Hits & More is a representation of how far I’ve come,” Morgan said. “This compilation album is, truly, a picture of me – my biggest hits and those songs that have hit me the hardest or inspired me the most over the years. I am very proud of them both.”

Featuring newly re-recorded versions of her top hits “Watch Me,” “Something In Red,” “Good As I Was To You,” “Five Minutes,” “Except For Monday, “ A Picture Of Me (Without You)," "What Part Of No,” and brand-new songs like Dottie West’s “Here Comes My Baby,” A Picture Of Me – Greatest Hits & More also features never-before-heard songs from Morgan like “I Went Crazy For Awhile” and “Hopelessly Yours,” written and co-written by Keith Whitley. Morgan also includes beautiful renditions of Tammy Wynette’s “’Til I Can Make It On My Own,” and George Jones’s “Loving You Could Never Be Better.”

The album is produced by Matt Legge.

DON WILLIAMS ANNOUNCES RETIREMENT

DON WILLIAMS ANNOUNCES RETIREMENT AFTER ILLUSTRIOUS SIX DECADE COUNTRY MUSIC CAREER

Nashville, Tenn. (March 1, 2016) – Country Music Hall of Famer and CMA/ACM award winner Don Williams, who became one of the biggest country stars known as the “Gentle Giant” with his relaxed songs and 6-foot-1-inch frame, is retiring after six decades of making music and entertaining crowds.

“It’s time to hang my hat up and enjoy some quiet time at home. I’m so thankful for my fans, my friends and my family for their everlasting love and support,” Williams said.

They came to call Williams the “Gentle Giant” in the decades he was a dominating country hitmaker because of his unique blend of commanding presence and that laid-back, easy style that has appealed to adult men and women alike—cutting across national and genre boundaries.

The hundreds of memorable songs in his repertoire—over fifty of them major hits—whether contemplative ballads, affecting love songs or change-up rhythm numbers, have always been a core Williams strength.

He brought a sound and sensibility to the country charts that proved a smash. Williams first gained musical attention as a member of the pop folk trio The Pozo Seco Singers, which had six pop chart hits in 1966-’67. Between 1974 and 1991, Williams had at least one major hit every year, including such country standards to be as “ Good Ole Boys Like Me,” “Till the Rivers All Run Dry,” “It Must Be Love,” “I’m Just a Country Boy,” “Amanda” and “I Believe in You.” He also had a hit duet with Emmylou Harris on Townes Van Zandt’s “If I Needed You.”

Williams captivated crowds in his live shows with the mellow tone of his smooth baritone in “Tulsa Time,” "Back in my Younger Days," "Louisiana Saturday Night" and identifiable sincerity in the timelessness of tunes like "You're My Best Friend," “Come Early Morning,” "Lord, I Hope This Day is Good," "Some Broken Hearts Never Mend" and many more everlasting hits.

Williams was the CMA Male Vocalist of the Year in 1978 and “Tulsa Time” was the ACM Record of the Year for 1979. In 2010, Don received country music’s highest honor, with his induction into the Country Music Hall of Fame.

ERIC CHURCH’S TWO-NIGHT SOLO STAND AT RED ROCKS

ERIC CHURCH’S TWO-NIGHT SOLO STAND AT RED ROCKS

Tickets for appearances on sale to fan club March 4, available to general public March 11; two-night packages available

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – (March 1, 2016) – Eric Church has built a reputation for making every live show special with one-night-only set lists, unique arrangements, and stripped solo shows. Now “our greatest working rock star” (Stereogum) is pushing the envelope even further with a not to be missed two-night solo stand at Red Rocks Amphitheatre on Tuesday, Aug. 9 and Wednesday, Aug. 10.

Fan club members will have the first chance to purchase tickets and travel packages during the fan club pre-sale, starting March 4, on ericchurch.com.  The one or two night travel packages include lodging at Denver’s Hotel Monaco, transportation to and from the venue, and tickets in the first 20 rows. This package and tickets will also be offered to the public beginning at 10 a.m. MT on March 11 by visiting www.axs.com or by phone at (888) 929-7849.

The performances offer fans one of the few chances this year to see the Academy of Country Music Entertainer of the Year nominee. Church, who’s up for six awards at the April 3 CBS-broadcast award show, has mostly laid low since The Outsiders World Tour’s two-year run concluded and the surprise release of new album Mr. Misunderstood last November. He’s only scheduled a few shows so far in 2016, and with an album’s worth of new music to debut you can bet every single show will be special.

A four-time ACM Awards winner, in addition to the top honor Entertainer of the Year, Church is also up for Album of the Year for Mr. Misunderstood, Male Vocalist of the Year, Video of the Year for Top 15 single “Mr. Misunderstood,” Vocal Event and Song of the Year for “Raise ‘Em Up” with Keith Urban.

Church recently released “Record Year,” the second single from Mr. Misunderstood. The song, which namechecks Stevie Wonder's Songs In The Key of Life, Willie Nelson's Red Headed Stranger, John Lee Hooker's One Bourbon, One Scotch, One Beer among others from Church's stack of vinyl, was dubbed the “most moving moment” on the new album by Rolling Stone.

About Eric Church
The two-time Country Music Association and four-time Academy of Country Music Award winner cemented his reputation as a maverick by releasing his 2015 album Mr. Misunderstood as a surprise, delivering it to fans before announcing its existence and putting it on sale. The current single, “Record Year,” is the second following the Mr. Misunderstood title track, and the album helped Church earn six ACM Award nominations for the April 3, 2016 show broadcast on CBS. The North Carolina native received a huge response from his fans, who made Church 2014’s top-selling country music artist with the year’s highest debut and sales of any release in the format as the critical and commercial success The Outsiders reached Platinum status. Debuting at No. 1 on both the Billboard Top 200 Albums Chart and Top Country Albums chart, The Outsiders garnered GRAMMY, CMA and ACM Album of the Year nominations and featured his No.1 hits “Give Me Back My Hometown” and “Talladega” as well as multiple nominee “Like A Wrecking Ball.” The Outsiders is the follow-up to Church’s Platinum-certified CHIEF, named the 2012 Album of the Year by both CMA and ACM, and GRAMMY-nominated for Best Country Album. The LP featured five Top 20 singles: “Homeboy” (certified Platinum for sales in excess of 1 million); the Top 10 “Like Jesus Does” and the Top 5 “Creepin’” (both certified Gold for sales in excess of 500,000); and two No. 1 hits “Drink in My Hand” (certified Platinum) and “Springsteen” (certified Double Platinum for sales in excess of 2 million singles). Church’s 2006 debut album, Sinners Like Me and his sophomore album Carolina (2009) are both RIAA Gold certified.
