CHASE RICE MALE VOCALIST OF THE YEAR AT 2016 ACM AWARDS

CHASE RICE NOMINATED FOR NEW MALE VOCALIST OF THE YEAR AT 2016 ACM AWARDS

Columbia Nashville singer continues to draw attention as he teases new music for fans

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – (Feb. 1, 2016) – Chase Rice has plenty to celebrate today after learning that he’s up for New Male Vocalist of the Year at the 51st ACM Awards while sharing news of forthcoming new music with fans.

When the Academy of Country Music nominations were announced on CBS’ “CBS This Morning" earlier today, Rice--who has built his rabid following from the ground up-- had already planned to be in Las Vegas as part of the three-day ACM Party For a Cause Festival, but now Rice has even more of a reason to keep the party going through the Sunday, April 3 awards show broadcast from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.

"There are a lot of great things happening for us right now, and I can't wait to party in Las Vegas,”  Rice said. "I'm excited about our nomination for New Male Vocalist of the Year and even more excited about sharing new music with my fans later this week.”

Rice teased that new music last Friday when he posted a photo to Instagram with the words “SHHH … One Week From Now” and the hashtags #Whisper and #NewMusic 2/5. It’s the first new music from Rice since the release of his chart-topping debut album Ignite the Night in 2014. That album delivered two Top 5 hits, “Ready Set Roll” and “Gonna Wanna Tonight,” and established Rice as a vocalist, entertainer and songwriter to contend with.

The artist who has been described as "a rarity" by ESPN, "convincing" by the New York Times and "clever" by the Associated Press just wrapped his third headlining tour, The JD and Jesus Tour, last week after supporting Kenny Chesney’s stadium tour last summer and is gearing up for a crazy year that includes the release of his as-yet-untitled second Columbia Nashville/Dack Janiels album.

OLD DOMINION WITH TWO AWARD FROM AOCM

OLD DOMINION'S ASCENSION CONTINUES WITH TWO AWARD NODS FROM THE ACADEMY OF COUNTRY MUSIC INCLUDING VOCAL GROUP OF THE YEAR

Tune in tonight for Old Dominion’s late night debut on ABC's Jimmy Kimmel Live -- performances of current rapid-climbing single "Snapback" and multi-week No. 1 "Break Up With Him" from Meat and Candy

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (Monday, Feb. 1, 2016) – After a whirlwind year that included a critically-acclaimed album, multi-week No.1 debut single, a slot on Kenny Chesney’s The Big Revival Tour, and multiple solo tour stop sellouts, Old Dominion receives two nominations for the 51st Academy of Country Music Awards: New Vocal Group/Duo of the Year and Vocal Group of the Year.

"As songwriters, we started playing together so our songs would be heard and people would hopefully want to cut them," says now four-time No. 1 hit maker and lead singer Matthew Ramsey. "So to know that as a band we have been honored by receiving this type of recognition has us all feeling incredibly grateful and truthfully, a little speechless."

The two nominations are Old Dominion's first. The band will have another first tonight when they make their late night debut on ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel Live, Feb. 1 at 10:35 p.m. CT / 11:35 p.m. ET. They are set to perform two tracks from their album Meat and Candy, including their smash debut single “Break Up With Him” and “Snapback,” their current single that is soaring up the charts – at No. 20 and 21, on Billboard and Mediabase respectively,  in only its first month at Country radio.

Old Dominion is continuing to gain momentum with their do-it-yourself approach. From writing and recording every song they release to performing their own hits live, they are earning their name as "one of country music's few current, self-contained bands," as NPR recently declared.

Fans can catch Old Dominion on their headlining Meat and Candy Tour that has already claimed sellouts in 15 markets across the U.S. With upcoming performances at Country Radio Seminar’s highly-regarded New Faces Show and a stop in London, UK at the C2C after party, Old Dominion will have a busy 2016 before they join Kenny Chesney for the second straight summer along with Miranda Lambert and Sam Hunt.

The Academy of Country Music Awards will be broadcast live from Las Vegas, Nev. on Sunday, April 3 on CBS.

About Old Dominion
RCA Nashville recording act Old Dominion has been writing songs and honing its live show in Music City for 10 years. While many of the group’s songs have been recorded by top artists including Kenny Chesney, Keith Urban, Luke Bryan, The Band Perry, Chris Young and more, the group is currently focused on performing its own brand of country stripped down and raw but muscular enough to fit in on today’s country radio. Their recent debut single “Break Up With Him” spent two weeks at No.1 on the Country charts and was certified GOLD by the RIAA. The band released its debut full-length album Meat and Candy on Nov. 6. Produced by GRAMMY Award winning songwriter/ producer Shane McAnally. They will join Kenny Chesney’s 2016 tour. Their new single “Snapback” is at Country radio now.

Ashley Gearing Launches Anti-Valentine’s Day Campaign in Celebration of New Release

NASH Country Weekly Exclusively Announces “Love Can Go To Hell” Campaign

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (February 1, 2016)— Curb recording artist Ashley Gearing may have a few ex-boyfriends that will be expecting black roses this Valentine’s Day. Gearing recently launched a viral “Love Can Go To Hell” campaign in celebration of her new release while anonymously delivering black roses to the Nashville music industry. Listeners of The Bobby Bones Show’s opinions poured in as Bobby took to social media and made a mini MAKING A MURDERER themed documentary on the mysterious source which garnered over 73K views (watch HERE).

NASH Country Weekly officially announced the campaign with a first listen of “Love Can Go To Hell” today HERE. The website LoveCanGoToHell.com features interactive fan incentives including the option to send black roses, share digital social gifs, enter to win a sweepstakes and listen to the brand new track.

Written by Brandy Clark and Scott Stepakoff, “Love Can Go To Hell” takes a unique spin on heartache while showcasing Gearing’s powerful vocals.

Ashley Gearing first found success at the age of 11 with the Billboard hit, “Can You Hear Me When I Talk To You?”, becoming the youngest solo artist to enter the country charts. This accomplishment beat the long-standing record previously held by country icon Brenda Lee. Since then Gearing has molded her craft as a songwriter, performed for various crowds across the U.S. and even found time to graduate with a Bachelors degree from Belmont University. The new EP has received recognition by Billboard and The Boston Globe and is available on iTunes and all other digital retailers.

ABOUT THE BELLAMY BROTHERS:
Howard and David continue to prove that the trail they’ve ridden to fame has been as unique as their music itself—music that is now celebrating 40 years of success. The road that started on the pop music charts in the ‘70’s, took a winding turn into country music in the ‘80’s, paving the way for duos to come, such as Brooks & Dunn, Montgomery Gentry, Big & Rich, and The Judds. “If I Said You Had A Beautiful Body (Would You Hold It Against Me),” originally scrawled on a dinner napkin by David, rocketed them to the top of the country charts the way “Let Your Love Flow,” had done in the pop market just a few years earlier. It proved to be the first of a string of fourteen No. 1 singles in the U.S. alone. They’re the only U.S. country music act who've toured in India, Sri Lanka, New Caledonia and Qatar. The Bellamy Brothers hold the record in both the Academy of Country Music (ACM) and the Country Music Association Awards (CMA) for the most duo nominations. Numerous Grammy nods have also been directed toward the brothers. For more information, visit bellamybrothers.com.
