THOMAS RHETT FOUR WEEKS AT #1

THOMAS RHETT FOUR WEEKS AT #1

NASHVILLE, TN – Jan. 11, 2016 – Thomas Rhett continues to push “the genre into exciting new territory” (Jody Rosen, New York Times) as he dominates the radio charts again this week spending a fourth consecutive week at No. One on the Billboard Country Airplay chart with his PLATINUM certified hit “Die A Happy Man.” Since the beginning of 2012, only Florida Georgia Line’s “Stay” and Luke Bryan’s “Play It Again” have accomplished the same long-standing reign. The track also maintains a third week at the top of the Mediabase radio chart and continues to be the best-selling country digital track for a 10th week since release just 16 weeks ago.

Off his sophomore album TANGLED UP (The Valory Music Co.), the mega-hit has already been dubbed a “strong contender for every song of the year title” (All Access) and became his fifth consecutive chart-topper proving he’s “a standout among a crowded crop of acts” (Billboard).

After recently wrapping his first headlining run with the 2015 CMT ON TOUR, Thomas Rhett will continue to confirm “he's on his way to superstardom" (Patriot Ledger) as he will serve as direct support on Jason Aldean’s WE WERE HERE 2016 TOUR beginning this Thursday (1/14) in Moline, IL. Additionally, the singer/songwriter has teamed with Snap Fitness for a year-long partnership as the health and wellness brand’s spokesperson, where he will host boot camps in select tour markets and social media challenges throughout the year. RANDY HOUSER -- NEW ALBUM, FIRED UP, DROPPING FRIDAY, MARCH 11

RANDY HOUSER -- NEW ALBUM, FIRED UP, DROPPING FRIDAY, MARCH 11

Houser’s fourth studio album to feature 17 new songs, including current Top 15-and-climbing single, “We Went”

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (Jan. 11, 2016) – As the “longtime favorite in Nashville, revered for an honest — and monstrous — country voice” (Rolling Stone Country) singer of Top 15-and-climbing single “We Went” continues to churn up the airwaves at country radio, fans and industry insiders have been anxiously awaiting the arrival of a new album from Randy Houser. On Friday, March 11, the artist who Billboard raved “just might be the best male vocalist in the business” will put an end to their wait with the release of his fourth studio album, Fired Up, as first reported this morning by Rolling Stone Country’s Ram Report. The 17-song album marks Houser’s second for Stoney Creek Records, following the critically acclaimed How Country Feels.

Fired Up also finds Houser re-teaming with Derek George, the producer of How Country Feels, which ultimately yielded three consecutive No. 1 hits (“How Country Feels,” “Runnin’ Outta Moonlight” and “Goodnight Kiss”) and a Top 5 smash with the CMA-nominated “Like A Cowboy.”

"I'm very excited to finally get some new music out there,” said Houser. “Three years is a bit longer than I expected in between How Country Feels and this record, and so much has happened in that time. I wrote a handful of songs on Fired Up, but there are songs like ‘A Little Bit Older’ that I knew I had to record the moment I heard them."

The track listing for Fired Up is as follows:

1. “Back” (Jeffrey Steele, Bridgette Tatum)
2. “We Went” (Justin Wilson, Matt Rogers, John King)
3. “Chasing Down a Good Time” (Randy Houser, Jeffrey Steele, Anthony Smith)
4. “Senior Year” (Randy Houser, Rob Hatch)
5. “Mine Tonight” (Dallas Davidson, Rhett Akins, Ben Hayslip)
6. “Lucky Me” (Randy Houser, Dallas Davidson, Craig Wiseman)
7. “Song Number 7” (Justin Wilson, Ben Hayslip, Chris Janson)
8. “Before Midnight” (Randy Houser, Shane Minor, Derek George)
9. “True” (Randy Houser, Rob Hatch)
10. “Yesterday’s Whiskey” (Brice Long, Kylie Sackley)
11. “Fired Up” (Rob Hatch, Dallas Davidson)
12. “A Little Bit Older” (Neil Thrasher, Michael Dulaney, Tony Martin)
13. “Gotta Get You Home” (Dallas Davidson, Ashley Gorley, Kelley Lovelace)
14. “Hot Beer and Cold Women” (Brett Warren, Brad Warren, Travis Meadows)
15. “Same Ole Saturday Night” (Dallas Davidson, Ben Hayslip, Martin Johnson)
16. “One Way” (Chris Stapleton, Lee Miller)
17. “Whiskeysippi River” (Josh Jenkins, Matt Jenkins, Trevor Rosen)

About Randy Houser
With an inimitable voice the New York Times describes as “wholly different, thicker and more throbbing, a caldron bubbling over,” Randy Houser racked up three consecutive No. 1 hits and more than four million in singles sales to date with his Stoney Creek Records album, How Country Feels. He topped the charts with the title track, “Runnin’ Outta Moonlight” and “Goodnight Kiss” (also his first No. 1 as a songwriter) and earned critical acclaim for his powerful delivery of the Top 5 smash and CMA Song of the Year-nominated "Like A Cowboy." Houser’s new Top 15-and-climbing single, “We Went,” is the first release from his fourth studio album, Fired Up, which drops March 11, 2016 via Stoney Creek Records. Bentley To Chat With Fans Through Twitter Music Today

Nashville, TN – Jan. 11, 2016 – For PLATINUM selling singer/songwriter Dierks Bentley, it seems the most personal songs are also the ones most universally relatable to his fans. On his upcoming release, he raises the bar on that idea as he candidly explores the farthest corners of his own heart. His eighth studio album BLACK is set for release in early 2016. Fans can pre-order the collection now on Dierks.com and have access to extra tracks, bonus videos, special merchandise and VIP Black Card member experiences with Bentley on his 2016 tour.

“It’s a relationship album. And to do it right, I had to dig deep as a writer, dig into the Nashville songwriting community, and record songs that explore the shadows and edges of the heart. The songs on BLACK range from the lonesomeness of an impossible relationship to ones that describe the feeling of finding that person that makes you forget the one that broke your heart."

Parts of the album are sexy, intimate and tender, some are quick-witted and wild, other pieces are broken, desperate, longing. As a result, some of the songs’ messages aren’t always flattering, but they’re inevitably candid.

“There’s a realness to the concept, the songs, the process and the production,” says Bentley. “And the title…BLACK is mysterious and sexy and has an edge that describes the sounds we were going for. A lot of it happens after dark, in the black of night. It’s personal too…Black is my wife's maiden name."

Bentley reassembled the RISER production team, including producer Ross Copperman and executive producer Arturo Buenahora Jr., and they collectively embraced the challenge of advancing Bentley’s sound while mining his past romantic successes and failures. Recording began cautiously in February 2015, but Bentley allowed the album to simmer for months while he pursued his SOUNDS OF SUMMER TOUR. He delved in again in the fall, building a project that’s both revealing and simultaneously mysterious. Fans will get their first hint at the results when Capitol Nashville releases the lead single in the coming weeks.

Instead of rehashing proven formulas, Bentley has doggedly reinvented his sound on every album and subsequently developed an uncommon mix of commercial success and critical respect. Each of his albums has developed its own identity and/or conceptual theme, be it the classic-country texture of MODERN DAY DRIFTER, the bluegrass/Americana bent of UP ON THE RIDGE or the resilience at the core of his last album, 2014’s RISER.

Today at 6:30P CT, Bentley will host a Twitter chat with fans who can participate by following @DierksBentley. For more information on upcoming events and new music, visit www.dierks.com.

CD: BOBBY ATKINS & THE COUNTRYMEN - This "IS" Bluegrass

BOBBY ATKINS & THE COUNTRYMEN
This "IS" Bluegrass
Sourwood Mountain - Shackles & Chains - Going Back To Old Kentucky - It's A Sin - Jumbaliah - When I Stop Dreamin' - One Has My Name - Let Your Brown Eyes Smile At Me - I'm So Sorry - Durham's Bull - Mockingbird Hill - Jesus Answers My Prayers - Ballad of Henry Lowery - Rhythm Of The Falling Rain - Lonesome 77203

I've known, and listened to, Bobby Atkins for a lot of years.  This old Kentucky boy is one of the few authentic traditional bluegrassers left in the eastern part of America. He played banjo for Bill Monroe in the 60's, and has been a totally dedicated authentic bluegrass recording artist and performer ever since, dedicating his entire music life to the music Monroe handed down to all the musicians that worked for him.  This album is a sincere presentation of that same music, just as Monroe played and taught it.  The best part is the amazing dedication and ability Bobby Atkins has in keeping it 'right.'  I believe some of his own family are participating musicians in this project, but he doesn't say that.  Just the same, this really 'is' bluegrass as it sounded in the past, and as it should today, and in most cases, that is the case.  The big difference is that Bobby Atkins is able to keep the sound fresh, interesting, stylized, and certainly dedicated.  His ability to play the banjo in the traditional bluegrass style also prompted him to work with none other than Flatt & Scruggs.  That's saying quite a lot about a musicians ability.  The selections of songs on this album also reflect that.  Bobby is so real, his spelling isn't always correct, I loved the way he spelled "Jambaliah" but that makes no difference to the sound, it's there, it's real, and it 'is' bluegrass.  It's also an instrumental, so maybe that accounts for the difference in spelling.  I like his "Let Your Brown Eyes Smile At Me" done in this style of traditional music.  It just seems so much more 'real' to me.  Not sure who the mandolin and fiddle is on this number, but they are both super good.  It's Bobby's voice and banjo that stands out, just like it should.  Music is a remarkable 'art' and I have found in my lifetime, even though this plaintive very real music has been sneered at, joked about, discriminated against (oh don't get me started there with what ASCAP did to this music in it's birthing years), jeered at, rejected, and pitied, it's still AMERICA'S music, and nothing can change that.  I'm like Bobby Atkins.  Just as soon as I get a good track of a good song down, I keep it.  Just like that.  Can't be changed.  Thank you Bobby Atkins for being Bobby Atkins, there will never be another like you, especially in bluegrass music.  I'm going to send this along to the Rural Roots Music Commission for their listening, and as in the past I'm pretty sure they will pick your CD for awards, but just in the past you probably can't make it to the ceremonies, but that doesn't stop me from trying.

CD: SANDY MILLER - Cowboy Boots & Bathing Suits

SANDY MILLER
Cowboy Boots & Bathing Suits
Smoke Along The Track - Don't Anyone Make Love At Home Anymore - The Threshold - Only 11 - Cowboy Boots & Bathing Suits - West Texas Waltz - Tiny Little Circle - I'm Not Over You - The Auctioneer - Where Angels Sing - My Baby's Gone - Little But Loud

Sandy opens this remarkable 'traditional' country music CD with a great up-tempo Stonewall Jackson song, "Smoke Along The Track."  It's also remarkable that we still have this kind of dedicated country singer of old recording style in America.  Quite simply, it's amazingly good.  Sandy is right on the mark.  She plays an acoustic bass guitar, and she is also a songwriter, contributing two great songs to this great project, "Only 11" and "Cowboy Boots & Bathing Suits."  She also used some incredibly gifted musicians, especially the steel guitarist that opens song number two with a super good lick.  Curt Shoemaker would be that great steel player that makes all country singers sound great.  He did it for me and my wife Sheila at the Wahoo Nebraska Festival a couple of times, so we can readily recognize Sandy's desire to have him on this great traditional and classic country CD.  And, Sandy just belts it right out there, just like it used to be.  She recorded this great project at Power Base Studios under the direction of Dan Kane.  Her brother Mike Kane provided harmony and rhythm guitar, and his wife Linn did the great keyboard sound we hear.  Blaine Garrelts is on lead guitar (another musician that makes it sound like it used to), add Deb Nelson on drums and Mike O'Neel on fiddle, and you can begin to realize why this is such an enjoyable listening experience.  It's very obvious the musicians working with Sandy are having a wonderful time making the recording.  Traditional and classic country music is easy to identify if you've ever heard it.  It's very different from the pasteurized sound we get in today's so-called country music.  If you were to ask Sandy if she listens to today's country music, you'd probably just get a head-shake no, and let it go at that.  She's much to busy getting her songs out to her fans.  Her song "Only 11" is just right on line with that same beautiful story-telling ability that all great classic and traditional country songwriters used in their presentations.  Her second original "Cowboy Boots & Bathing Suits" tells about her own geographical location of the North Loup River area in Nebraska.  I love it.  Mostly because it's so very 'real.'  Off it goes to the Rural Roots Music Commission for their listening pleasure.
