Kenny Chesney Hits Billboard’s Top 5 2015 Tours

Kenny Chesney Hits Billboard’s Top 5 2015 Tours

Only Country Act Along w Taylor Swift, 1-D, U2 & the Stones

NEW YORK, N.Y. – (Dec. 15, 2015) - When Kenny Chesney took his 2015 The Big Revival Tour on the road, he wanted to rock as many people as humanly possible. With just 57 dates, albeit 23 stadiums, the man The Wall Street Journal called “The King of the Road” was the only country act making Billboard’s Top 5 Touring Acts of 2015 – alongside Taylor Swift, One Direction, U2 and the Rolling Stones.

Beyond the dollars, Chesney played to the third highest number of fans – 1,335,022 – after list-topper Swift’s 1,982,076 for 71 shows and No. 2 One Direction's 2,337,938 for 80 shows. Summer after summer, the 4-time Country Music Association and 4-time Academy of Country Music Entertainer of the Year remains focused on rocking the No Shoes Nation for all they’re worth.

“Every year when we hit the road, I’m trying to figure out how to bring it harder, play more music and make it a night the people who live their lives in the songs will remember,” says the high-impact songwriter who’s sold in excess of a million tickets each of his 13 headlining tours since 2002. “We’ve been doing this enough years, that you know you have to really bring it to just compete with what you’ve already done. And it’s about the music you’re making now, as well as the ability to bring it when you hit the stage every night.”

Hailed as “Two parts Mick Jagger, one part Bruce Springsteen and one part Billy Graham” by The Dallas Morning News, Chesney’s The Big Revival broke nine records this summer – including several of his own – one being 120,206 fans over two nights at Gillette Stadium, marking his 12th and 13th show at the home of the New England Patriots.

“People want to rock, to have a good time and forget their problems,” Chesney explains. “But they’re not looking to mindlessly spend the night. They come to remember the moments that mattered to them – and maybe make a few more memories in the process – and I’ve been lucky that my songs have reflected how the No Shoes Nation lives their lives on every level.”

Having a new record that yielded four consecutive No. 1’s doesn’t hurt. In addition to the GRAMMY- and CMA-nominated, multiple-week No. 1 “American Kids,” he had “Til It’s Gone,” the CMA Musical Event nominee “Wild Child” with Grace Potter and the three week chart-topper “Save It for a Rainy Day,” all songs that show his creative fire matches his unrelenting passion for his near legendary live shows.

The Big Revival also is the eighth time Chesney has won Top Package at Billboard’s annual Touring Awards. The man, who has brought Keith Urban, Carrie Underwood, Lady Antebellum, Rascal Flatts, Zac Brown Band and Dierks Bentley out with him, tapped Jason Aldean, Eric Church, Brantley Gilbert, Old Dominion, Cole Swindell and Chase Rice out this summer. His sold out show at Chicago’s Soldier Field with Miranda Lambert inspired Chesney to tap his former tour mate for his upcoming 2016 tour of stadiums, amphitheaters, arenas and a few festivals.

“Making records is incredible,” Chesney offers about the music’s spark. “But it’s onstage where the connection happens and the spark pops. You take the songs out to the fans, and you realize how much they mean. When you bring all you’ve got, and they throw even more energy back at you, there’s nothing like it! We don’t tour for this kind of recognition, but it’s sure nice to know when you have fans as committed as the No Shoes Nation, they’re being recognized for how much they bring to our tours! They fly all over… meet up… and I’m thrilled to be part of it.”

During their run on the country charts Exile has successfully had ten No. 1 singles including “I Don’t Want To Be A Memory” and “Give Me One More Chance.” They have toured with acts including Aerosmith, Fleetwood Mac, The Oak Ridge Boys, The Gatlin Brothers and The Judds. The 5 original Exile members reformed in 2008 and continue to tour today. Current members of the band include J.P. Pennington, Les Taylor, Sonny LeMaire, Marlon Hargis and Steve Goetzman. For more information, visit exile.biz.

ABOUT JOHN BERRY:
During his star-making decade, John Berry placed 20 singles on the county hit parade. He earned Gold and Platinum records. He was nominated for a Grammy Award, CMA Awards and ACM Awards. Berry’s co-written “A Mind of Her Own” and “Kiss Me in the Car” introduced him to radio audiences in 1993. Then “Your Love Amazes Me,” “What’s in It for Me” and “You and Only You” thrust him to stardom in 1994. “Standing on the Edge of Goodbye,” “I Think About it All the Time,” and “If I Had Any Pride Left at All” were all major hits the following year, and the first-named earned John Berry a 1995 Grammy nomination. Berry took “Change My Mind” into the country-music top-5 in 1996. “She’s Taken a Shine” became an even bigger hit in 1997. Both fans and the media took note when “There He Goes” was released as a 1999 “duet” with Patsy Cline. www.johnberry.com

MARK WILLS, SYLVIA, JANIE FRICKE, HIGHWAY 101, MOE BANDY, NELSON, AND MORE

MARK WILLS, SYLVIA, JANIE FRICKE, HIGHWAY 101, MOE BANDY, NELSON, AND MORE TO APPEAR DURING INAUGURAL SEASON OF 'THE JOEY CANYON SHOW' LAUNCHING THE WEEK OF JANUARY 8TH ON RFD-TV

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (December 15, 2015) – Traditional Country singer-songwriter Joey Canyon has just announced the line-up for the first season of his new weekly RFD-TV series The Joey Canyon Show, and the 40 year Colorado native has put together a list of artists that represent the best in the Country Music format.

“When I decided I wanted to do The Joey Canyon Show in my hometown of Denver, I was concerned that artists from Nashville and other places may not choose to come here, how wrong I was,” the singer said. “Every special guest I had on the show was very happy to be in Colorado and was very impressed with the set, the band and how well they were treated, they all were first class as you would expect from traditional country artists!”

The 30-minute series will premiere on January 8, airing each Friday evening at 10pm Eastern / 9pm Central. The first guest will be hit-maker Mark Wills, known for hit singles as “Jacob’s Ladder,” “Wish You Were Here,” and the 2003 number one single “Nineteen Something.” Among the highlights of season one includes an appearance from legendary crooner T.G. Sheppard, 90s Rock duo Nelson, and 1980s hit-maker Sylvia – in the first national TV performance for the ACM-Award winner in many years.

A listing of the musical guests each week includes:
January 8: Mark Wills

January 15: T.G. Sheppard

January 22: Nelson

January 29: Sylvia

February 5: T. Graham Brown

February 12: Janie Fricke

February 19: Rex Allen, Jr.
February 26: Highway 101
March 4: Moe Bandy

March 11: Irlene Mandrell
March 18: John McEuen
March 25: Jennifer McCarter

April 1: Wynn Varble

Counting among his musical influences such artists as Vern Gosdin, Marty Robbins, and Waylon Jennings, Joey Canyon’s music definitely features a traditional-sounding lean. He has performed on such hallowed stage as the ACM-winning Palomino Club. His production work has graced broadcasts from NFL Films and PBS, and he has been presented a citation from the Governor of his home state for writing “Save Our Colorado,” an anti-pollution song. His current album is titled The Rhythm Of Livin.’

MOUNTAIN FAITH SIGNS WITH APA

MOUNTAIN FAITH SIGNS WITH APA

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (December 15, 2015) – APA is excited to announce the signing of family Bluegrass act Mountain Faith for booking representation. “Over the past fifteen years, Mountain Faith has become one of the most respected acts in the Bluegrass genre,” said APA’s Cass Scripps. “We are anxiously looking forward to sharing their unique story and talents with fans across the country, and putting them in front of as many people as possible.”

Formed in 2000, Mountain Faith consists of lead vocalists Summer McMahan and Luke Dotson, banjo player and harmony singer Brayden McMahan, bass player Sam McMahan – who is Summer and Brayden’s father, and mandolin player Cory Piatt. Their unique style puts a new spin on Bluegrass music, featuring touches of Gospel, Folk, Pop, and R&B.

The band, who has just returned from a successful series of stops performing for U.S. troops in the Persian Gulf, is wrapping up the year with several performances, including one at the Atlanta Falcons vs Carolina Panthers game on December 27. They will ring in the new year at the Berry Freewill Baptist Church in Berry, AL. Details concerning their 2016 tour dates will be forthcoming.

Mountain Faith, who still practice in their family tire shop in rustic Sylva, North Carolina, has become a road circuit favorite, playing everywhere from arenas and auditoriums to churches. When they are not on the road, they can be found delivering their music to the crowds at Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, TN.

They've also become well known through their television appearances on the Daystar Television Network, as well as their recent stint on season ten of America’s Got Talent. Their performance of OneRepublic’s “Counting Stars” earned them four “Yes” votes from the celebrity judging panel, which led to performances with some of the major stars in the format, including Alison Krauss & Union Station. They also have been featured in the pages of many of the top magazines, newspapers, and websites in music – including Bluegrass Today and HNGN.com. The exposure on the show also helped to send their social numbers into the stratosphere.

2015 marks a watershed year for the group, who earned a staggering fifteen nominations from the SPBGMA (Society for the Preservation of Bluegrass Music of America) Bluegrass Music Awards – including nods for each member in their respective categories, as well as Entertaining Group of the Year and Album of the Year for their Feelin’ Blue album, released on Mountain Fever Records. Their most recent project is entitled That Which Matters, which includes their most recent single, “Emily (It’s Love),” which was released in October 2015.
