Richard Lynch

Richard Lynch

Based in Waynesville Ohio, Richard Lynch is an American Country music artist, who has released a long list of chart topping hits in the world of traditional country music. Lynch's style is reminiscent of the greats. The passion & purity that fueled the likes of Conway Twitty, Waylon Jennings, George Jones & Hank Williams, can be heard through the vocals & exquisite musicianship of the Richard Lynch band. Lynch's love of Country music spans 3 decades. With that, amazing live shows and songs about the 'working man' feed his audiences with adrenaline. It's country, the way country music was meant to be & they have numerous awards to prove it.

Living the life he sings about is what gives Richard Lynch the edge as an entertainer. Fans can relate to his lyrics, his messages. Richard is a hard working, blue collar man & an American farmer. The band performs over 100 live shows across the US per year. This is a one-of-a-kind performance, that's not to be missed. Spectators walk away wanting more! And with good reason, the hand selected musicians that make up his band are recognized as the best in the industry. The Richard Lynch Band performs a variety of music for the traditionalist at heart. Ranging from pure country, western swing, rockabilly, outlaw country, and hard driving honky tonk.

They are currently being promoted by Danie Cortese, CEO of DCE International, a highly credited PR firm that has promoted some of the biggest names in music business. They are also under the watchful eye of one of the most prominent managers in the industry, Randy Hayford. The sky is the limit as they 'take on' the International markets with a vengeance. Their fans eagerly await. Stay tuned for more!

CD: THE GRASCALS - And Then There's This...

THE GRASCALS
And Then There's This...
I Know Better - Road of Life - Sweet Little Mountain Girl - True Hearts - Old Friend Of Mine - Warm Wind - If You Want Me To - Delta Queen - I Like Trains - Autumn Glen - A Place To Hang My Hat - Highway of Sorrow

Bluegrass music is obviously the 'carrier' of what traditional and classic country music once was, at least in America.  In today's world of an extremely small commercial country music market, and getting smaller, especially with phony country music, it will inevitably be bluegrass music that carries the torch for those fans who have been left in the lurch by commercial country music.  I'm very familiar with the Grascals, but this CD is without a doubt one of their best works yet.  There is a tremendous number of outstanding bluegrass bands performing and recording today.  The 'licks' the vocal 'interpretations' the recording techniques, even the 'mix' is steadily in place. That's not going to change much, it's all done so well.  What will make the difference in the top bluegrass bands will be material. That material has to 'match' what the band does and how they do it. And that's the winner for the Grascals.  They have chosen NOT to write every song they record.  Rather, they move their energies and obvious talent doing the music that appeals to them.  I must admit "Road of Life" written by Jeffrey Ray Edwards, uses the progression of John Hartford's "Gentle On My Mind" BUT it's still a terrific song that fits the Grascals really well. I also like how this band 'swaps' lead vocalists.  Definitely keeps every song 'different' and certainly with each vocalist at the top of his (her) game, it makes for a very interesting listening experience.  One of my favorite traditional country bluegrass composers is Larry Cordle.  His song "Delta Queen" is incredibly well done, including the intro to the song, extremely original and certainly a 'you better listen' intro.   "Harmony" is the other most important part of a 'top' bluegrass band, and it can be a winner or a loser very easily, especially with all those parts that need to be there.  On this recording, 'harmony' does not only excel, it exceeds.  I like the banjo a lot in bluegrass music, but tending toward traditional music I like the fiddle a bit better, and here Adam Haynes also excels.  Still all the instruments need to be 'together' and they are with the Grascals.  Terry Eldredge on guitar; Danny Roberts on mandolin; John Bryan on guitar; Terry Smith on bass (no not that Terry Smith who wrote Far Side Banks of Jordan for Johnny Cash); Kristin Scott Benson delightful on banjo.  Best song for me is "A Place To Hang My Hat" a truly classic country song in style, content, and certainly ability.  Watch the Grascals pick up those early country fans who have been abandoned by commercial country music.  Super CD Grascals, off it goes to the Rural Roots Music Commission who select their CD of the Year awards which they give away at the 41st annual National Old Time Music Festival (Aug 29-Sept 4 in LeMars, Iowa).  If I were the Grascals, I'd already be finding a way to be somewhere near that location on any date they might choose.  "Bluegrass CD of the Year" isn't a small thing coming from the entire upper Midwest.

It absolutely amazes me at the large quantity of really really great country music on planet earth that is so much better than what we hear in pop-rock-rap country music today coming from Nashville.  It boggles the mind to 'know' that country music as it was originally meant to be written, recorded, and performed has been so drastically altered. Obviously to suit the very very small 'percentage' of country music 'money' producers, artists, and fans who have made those changes.  I was unaware of Johnny Heap until a friend, Paul Hazell, who does a radio show called 'World of Country' from Uckfield in East Sussex, England, sent me this recording.  To understand the genuine country sound of Johnny Heap you need to know a little about him.  He started in the mid-50's as a DJ as well as a radio vocalist.  This eventually led to an invitation to be part of the Rick & Thei Carey touring show, a prestigious show in Australia. This eventually led him to a recording career on his own, and a massive following because of the extremely gifted vocals he recorded.  This particular CD sent to me by Paul Hazell, is a compilation of some of Johnny Heap's greatest recordings.  As I listen to the backing and the manner in which they were recorded, this is some of the very best country music in the classic and traditional style I've ever heard from an artist I had never heard of. Heap was inducted into the 'Hands of Fame' in Tamworth in 1980, which has immortalized his incredible contributions to 'real' country music.  Johnny Heap had sort of retired from the music business in 2006, age and a fading interest in 'real' country music the culprit.  Then this same Paul Hazell began to play Johnny Heap's song "There'll Be No Teardrops Tonight" on his radio show which immediately captivated a 'new' audience for the music of Johnny Heap.  I have received a number of albums from Australia and New Zealand country artists, and like them all mostly because they still stay true to the distinctive country music elements that are so missing in today's commercial country music, but I must admit Johnny Heap stands head and shoulders above many of them.  The song Paul played by Johnny Heap, has a rousing fiddle introduction and stays on track throughout, no wonder so many people in England starting listening to Johnny Heap again.  His delightful voice and selection of material is immaculate.  I've already become a fan of Johnny Heap and will be forwarding this delightful five-star CD to the Rural Roots Music Commission for their listening pleasure and of course for their selection of "CD of the Year" awards.  I would surmise that Johnny Heap is going to come out at number one once again.

DRAKE WHITE'S "LIVIN' THE DREAM" AIMS TO UPLIFT

DRAKE WHITE'S "LIVIN' THE DREAM" AIMS TO UPLIFT
NASHVILLE, Tenn. – (Dec. 4, 2015) –  Born and raised at the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains in Hokes Bluff, Alabama, Drake White grew up scanning his radio dial for anything he could relate to from country to blues to rock 'n roll. In the rural south, White's musical tastes knew no boundaries, labels or discriminations, a trait that has taken root in his performance style with Rolling Stone Country observing, "He doesn't play music so much as become possessed by it, shaking, clomping and hopping up on his toes like a cowboy Michael Jackson. It's a celebration of his country roots and, really, of being back in control." That verve is encapsulated in White's new single "Livin' The Dream," and it's a message he knows audiences worldwide need to hear.

Written by Tom Douglas, Jaren Johnston and Luke Laird, the lyrics for "Livin' The Dream" celebrate life, and even though there are struggles -- "Lots of reasons just to give it on up/Leave your soul on the shelf collecting dust/Live in a world with broken promises/And empty tanks..." -- White reminds us to denounce the negative and celebrate the little things.

"'Livin' The Dream' is a reminder of how blessed we all are even though, especially times like now, it may feel like our world is falling apart, and so, if we can help remind folks to celebrate the little moments, celebrate life, love and music, then it really does feel like we're at least attempting to live up to our objectives musically," shares White. "In the past, music has not only been my vehicle for escape but also for unification, and with this subtle reminder, we're hoping to give audiences reprieve if even for three minutes and 11 seconds."

Produced by Ross Copperman and Jeremy Stover, "Livin' The Dream" brilliantly showcases White's bluesy twang, a voice the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel dubbed as "...one of the most boisterous and soulful male voices in country music."

Having performed over 100 shows in 2015 inclusive of tour stops with Little Big Town and Zac Brown Band, when not on the road White has been diligently working on his forthcoming album for Dot Records Nashville, expected for release in 2016.
