DOLLY PARTON ON THE VOICE

DOLLY PARTON ON THE VOICE

Parton to Offer Advice to Semi-Finalists and Sing Heartfelt Song “Coat of Many Colors”
UNIVERSAL CITY, Calif. (December 1, 2015) – Country music legend Dolly Parton will perform one of her most personal and beloved songs, “Coat of Many Colors,” on the Tuesday, Dec. 8 (8-9 p.m.) live telecast of NBC’s Emmy Award-winning musical competition series “The Voice.”

Also taking the stage will be country star and “Voice” season three champion Cassadee Pope, who will perform her latest single, “I Am Invincible.”

Parton will mentor this season’s semi-finalists and share with them her infinite knowledge as a music industry trailblazer and icon.

Parton, whose career has spanned six decades, is the most honored female country performer of all time. Achieving 25 RIAA certified gold, platinum and multi-platinum awards, she has had 25 songs reach #1 on the Billboard Country charts, a record for a female artist. She has 41 career top 10 country albums, a record for any artist, and she has 110 career charted singles over the past 40 years. All-inclusive sales of singles, albums, hits collections, paid digital downloads and compilation usage have reportedly topped a staggering 100 million records.

She has garnered seven Grammy Awards, 10 Country Music Association Awards, five Academy of Country Music Awards, three American Music Awards and is one of only five female artists to win the Country Music Association’s Entertainer of the Year Award.

In 1999 Parton was inducted as a member of the Country Music Hall of Fame. She has her own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and became a member of the National Academy of Popular Music Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2001. Broadcast Music honored Parton with their Icon Award in 2003, and in 2004 the U.S. Library of Congress presented her with their Living Legend Award for her contribution to the cultural heritage of the United States. This was followed in 2005 with the National Medal of Arts, the highest honor given by the U.S. government for excellence in the arts.

The remarkable upbringing of the iconic artist will be portrayed in NBC’s two-hour movie “Dolly Parton’s Coat of Many Colors” on Thursday, Dec. 10 at 9 p.m. The film is set in the Tennessee Great Smoky Mountains in 1955. It is neither a biopic nor musical about Dolly’s whole life and performing career, but rather a family-oriented faith-based story about the incidents in her and her family’s life around the time she was 9 years old.

Jennifer Nettles will play Parton’s mother, Avie Lee Parton; Ricky Schroder will portray Dolly’s father, Lee Parton; Gerald McRaney, one of the most respected actors of his generation, will play Grandpa Jake Owens; and Alyvia Alyn Lind will portray 9-year-old Dolly Parton.

More information on Dolly Parton can be found at dollypartonentertainment.com.

Cassadee Pope’s debut solo country album, “Frame by Frame,” debuted at #9 on the Billboard 200 and #1 on the Top Country Albums charts. Her debut single, “Wasting All These Tears,” sold more than a million copies — a feat that ranked her as one of the select few solo female artists to garner platinum certification with a first release.

After a moving performance at the Special Olympics this summer Billboard has already touted “I Am Invincible,” as a "self-empowerment anthem…” Since winning season three of “The Voice,” Pope has toured with superstars Tim McGraw and Rascal Flatts and performed at major racing events such as Daytona 500 and Brickyard 400. She was also touted the CMT’s Next Women of Country, and won the 2014 CMT Music Awards’ Breakthrough Video of the Year.

For additional information and dates, visit CassadeePope.com.

So far this season, the Monday and Tuesday editions of “The Voice” are averaging a 3.7 rating, 12 share in adults 18-49 and 13.3 million viewers overall, according to “most current” results from Nielsen Media Research through the season’s opening nine weeks, to lead NBC to #1 ranking among the broadcast networks on both Monday and Tuesday nights. “The Voice” is television’s #1 alternative series this fall in every key ratings measure – adults, men and women 18-34, 18-49 and 25-54, plus total viewers.

“The Voice” is a presentation of United Artists Media Group (an MGM company), Talpa Media USA Inc. and Warner Horizon Television. The series was created by John de Mol, who serves as executive producer along with Mark Burnett, Audrey Morrissey, Lee Metzger and Jay Bienstock.

Country Star Eileen Carey Encourages Women To Have Faith

Country Star Eileen Carey Encourages Women To Have Faith

December 1, 2015 - Los Angeles, CA, U.S.A. -  “Faith” Video, Country Pop Star Eileen Carey Encourages Women to have Faith in themselves and move-on from a bad relationship  The MuseBox announced that rising California country star Eileen Carey has released the music video for Faith,”her new and already charting inspirational single that encourages women to find independence and strength in themselves. Carey's last two music videos, “Bottle Your Crazy Up” and the feel-good summer release “Party at the Beach,” have accumulated more than 75,000 Youtube views. “Faith” jumped into the Top 20 on the NMW country radio charts, Top 10 Indie, and the NMW Adult Contemporary and Hot AC charts. “Faith” also made an appearance on Music Row's Country Breakout chart and entered the international Wildhorse Entertainment Superstars of Country out of South Africa at #33.

WATCH EILEEN CAREY’S VIDEO FOR “FAITH” HERE

Earlier this year, Carey’s “Bottle Your Crazy Up” reached #1 nationally, where it competed with major-label country performers. Carey’s three released singles are from Let It Go, her most successful album to date. Carey won The Academia Music Awards Best Country/Rock Song of the Year for “Bottle Your Crazy Up.” Akadamia.com called Carey’s composition and performance “a clever country jam with dulcet vocals and superb instrumentation, illustrating one of the most stringent performance standards we've encountered.”

According to Carey, “Faith” is an encouragement to women to trust in themselves, rather than in the men who are not necessarily good for them:

“I like to give people a positive outlook on life. So many people accept their fate, but I insist that there is no need to - especially if you have faith in yourself. “Faith” is a sisterly boost to every woman who’s working overtime to try to get the wrong man’s attention.”

The music video for “Faith” was filmed at Carey's producer Travis Allen Childress' recording studio in Montrose, California. It was directed and produced by Taner Tumkaya, the same director who worked on Carey’s “Party at the Beach” lyric video.

Carey has also started posting in her new blog, www.TheMusicMom.com. The mission of The Music Mom is consistent with Carey’s “Faith” video in that it reveals Carey's desire to give of her experience and wisdom.

More information on Eileen Carey is available on her official website.
The single is available on AirplayAccess as well as CDX Volume # 623.

COUNTRY MUSIC AND VARIETY PROGRAM "THE JOEY CANYON SHOW" DEBUTS JANUARY 8 ON RFD-TV

COUNTRY MUSIC AND VARIETY PROGRAM "THE JOEY CANYON SHOW" DEBUTS JANUARY 8 ON RFD-TV

Singer/Songwriter Joey Canyon to Host Weekly Show Airing Fridays 10/9 p.m. Central

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (December 1, 2015) – January 2016 will kick off in fine style for Traditional Country-based singer/songwriter, recording artist and performer Joey Canyon, who will unveil his very own weekly television series on RFD-TV. Beginning January 8, “The Joey Canyon Show” will air Friday evenings at 10 p.m. EST / 9 p.m. CST.

“About three years ago, I was watching TV one night, but there didn’t seem as if there was anything worth while watching given two or three hundred channels on cable,” Canyon said. “I was thinking ‘Can’t someone put out any quality entertainment for a change?’ It was the Good Lord that put it in my head that he’d given me all these special gifts and talents as HE said: ‘You're going to do it.’ ”

“The Joey Canyon Show” will feature a who’s who of top Country artists, such as T.G. Sheppard, Moe Bandy, T. Graham Brown, and making one of her first network appearances in many years – Sylvia, famous for her iconic hits such as “Nobody” and “Drifter.” Also appearing in one of the first thirteen episodes will be Matthew and Gunnar Nelson – twin sons of Rock & Roll icon Rick Nelson, who topped the Billboard Hot 100 in 1990 with "(Can't Live Without Your) Love and Affection.”

Filmed in Canyon’s home base of Colorado, the performer is excited to show viewers the beauty of his home state. “I really want to show off my home state to the viewers. I want to be an ambassador for the state like John Denver was. The 26 openings of the show will be shot in various locations from Aspen, Glenwood Springs to Vail, as well as downtown Denver. There’s a certain look that I wanted, and I needed it to be here. A lot of people didn’t think I would be able to get any Nashville artists here, but they all wanted to come. That’s been a real blessing.”

Also a part of “The Joey Canyon Show” will be a “Man on the Street” interview segment conducted by Canyon’s co-host, acclaimed singer and songwriter Dean Miller. Also unique to the series will be a weekly “Top Eight” list.

“Every other show has a top ten, but we’ll have a top eight list, inspired by bull riders trying to pull eight seconds out of the chute,” Canyon said.

In addition, the show plans to shine the spotlight on good works done by some of his favorite charities. “We’ll also be recognizing individuals and foundations that help other people as well,” Canyon added.

While Canyon is confident that the series will attract a viewership that will run across many age demographics, he plans to make the show appealing to the 45+ age group – a rarity in today’s television market.

“There’s a void there for those folks, and we’re going to fill it,” he said. “Somewhere along the line, there will be younger people who will tune in and like the show because it’s a well-produced show with great music. We’re just being us, and I think people will like what we're trying to do here. We want to give quality entertainment to those that deserve it and that’s what we’re going to do.”

Counting among his musical influences such artists as Vern Gosdin, Marty Robbins, and Waylon Jennings, Joey Canyon’s music definitely features a traditional-sounding lean. He has performed on such hallowed stages as the ACM-winning Palomino Club and has recorded in the finest recording studios that LA and Nashville has to offer. His production work has graced broadcasts from NFL Films and PBS, and he has been presented a citation from the Governor of his home state for writing “Save Our Colorado,” an anti-pollution song. His current album is titled The Rhythm Of Livin.’
