CRYSTAL GAYLE HONORS

CRYSTAL GAYLE HONORS HITMAKER WHO PENNED "DON'T IT MAKE MY BROWN EYES BLUE" AND "I'LL GET OVER YOU"
Richard Leigh & Crystal Gayle
Gayle Honors Songwriter Richard Leigh During SESAC Nashville Music Awards

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (November 2, 2015) – Country songstress Crystal Gayle dazzled during SESAC’s annual Nashville music awards ceremony Sunday evening (Nov. 1) when she performed her 1977 classic, “Don’t It Make My Brown Eyes Blue,” in honor of veteran songwriter Richard Leigh.

SESAC recognized Leigh with the Songwriter Legacy Award for penning dozens of chart-toppers and country classics, including “Don’t It Make My Brown Eyes Blue,” which became a country-pop crossover smash for Gayle.

“Not only is Richard a phenomenal songwriter with lyrics that pull at the heartstrings, but he’s one of the most gracious and kind beings in this business. I’m so proud to honor him for his incredible talents,” Gayle said.

Leigh was joined on the red carpet by Gayle, who also recorded his first No. 1, "I'll Get Over You," in 1976. Gayle and Reba McEntire (“The Greatest Man I Never Knew”) honored Leigh with performances at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum during the ceremony.

"You might not always have this 'move-mountain' lyric or a crazy idea, but sometimes it works. And if you’re really lucky, you have a voice like Crystal Gayle’s delivering a soulful rendition,” Leigh said.

For more information, follow Crystal Gayle on Twitter, Facebook and YouTube or visit crystalgayle.com.

CRYSTAL GAYLE ON TOUR:

ABOUT CRYSTAL GAYLE:
Crystal Gayle is an award-winning country music living legend whose reign in the music business includes 20 number one country hits, six albums certified Gold by the RIAA and the first female artist in country music history to reach Platinum sales with her 1977 album, We Must Believe in Magic. Her her 1977 country-pop crossover hit song, "Don't It Make My Brown Eyes Blue,” became an iconic staple and solidified her as one of the top female vocalists during the 1970s and 1980s. Her list of platinum and gold was to be matched only by her awards and accolades. CMA's "Female Vocalist of the Year," for two consecutive years, she became a Grammy Award Winner for "Best Female Vocal Performance," thanks to her beloved "Brown Eyes" - a song that she today admits she has never grown tired of singing. Crystal swept the Academy of Country Music Awards for three of their "Top Female Vocalist" statuettes. She is the recipient of three "American Music Awards," voted by the nation as America's "Favorite Female Artist." Perhaps nothing sums up Crystal's career achievements as well as being awarded with a star on the fabled Hollywood Walk of Fame in October 2009. Also famous for her nearly floor-length hair, she was voted one of the 50 most beautiful people in the world by People Magazine in 1983. She is the younger sister (by 19 years) of singer Loretta Lynn, and a distant cousin of singer Patty Loveless. Gayle also has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame near Lynn's star.

About Jimmy Fortune:
Jimmy Fortune toured, sang and performed with the legendary Statler Brothers for 21 years. He joined them first as a temporary replacement for Lew DeWitt, after DeWitt heard him singing at a ski resort and recommended him. Following an audition in Nashville, Jimmy was contacted by the Statler Brothers and performed his first show with them on January 28, 1982, in Savannah, Georgia. Due to the debilitating effects of Crohn’s Disease, Lew was unable to return to the stage with the Statlers, and Jimmy was hired as a permanent replacement in August of 1982.

Fortune quickly lived up to his name. He wrote the group’s second No. 1 hit, “Elizabeth,” on their 1983 album Today, and followed that with two more No. 1 hits–“My Only Love” (from 1984’s Atlanta Blue) and “Too Much On My Heart” (from 1985’s Pardners in Rhyme). Fortune also wrote the top-10 hit “Forever” from 1986’s Four for the Show and co-wrote the top-10 hit “More Than a Name on the Wall” from 1988’s The Greatest Hits.

Jimmy and The Statler Brothers were inducted into the GMA (Gospel Music Association) Hall of Fame on October 29, 2007, and inducted into the CMA (Country Music Association) Hall of Fame in June 29, 2008.

After the Statler Brothers retired on October 26, 2002, Jimmy seized the opportunity to launch a solo career to share new music with his fans. His first solo CD, When One Door Closes, was released August 2003 on Audium/Koch. He released a gospel album, I Believe, in June 2005, a Christmas CD, Feels Like Christmas, in 2006, a live concert DVD in 2007 and another country CD, “Windows” in 2009. Jimmy is currently living in Nashville, writing for Melrose Entertainment, and touring.

Luke Bryan Handpicks Dustin Lynch

DUSTIN LYNCH PROVING TO HAVE ONE HELL OF A YEAR AS HIS HEADLINE HELL OF A NIGHT TOUR CLAIMS ADVANCE SELLOUTS FOR 4 CALIFORNIA SHOWS IN A ROW

Luke Bryan Handpicks Dustin Lynch A Second Time For 2016 KILL THE LIGHTS Tour

Lynch Celebrates Second Consecutive #1 Smash “Hell Of A Night”

NASHVILLE, TN (November 2, 2015) – Broken Bow Records’ Dustin Lynch is proving to have one hell of a year, and the packed crowd at the recent celebration for his second consecutive #1 single “Hell Of A Night” reinforced his breakout success. Friends, family and members of the music industry gathered to toast Lynch at Nashville’s local bar SOUTH, where the rising new artist played his first-ever full band show, bringing the milestone moment full circle.

Taking his full band show to a new level, Lynch is prepping for his first major headline HELL OF A NIGHT Tour, which just this week claims advance sellouts for four shows at House of Blues venues across California – San Diego (January 28th) and Anaheim (January 29-31st). Lynch’s first Anaheim tour stop SOLD OUT immediately after going on sale October 24th and turned into a 3-night run with all 3,300 tickets sold due to such high fan demand. Anaheim and San Diego continue the West coast hot ticket trend, following the rapid sellout of the November 20th show at the Fillmore Auditorium in Denver, CO.

“This is crazy! I’ve always said that California is one of our favorite places to play and this just shows why,” exclaimed Dustin Lynch. “Thank you SoCal fans. We can’t wait to bring the party!”

Rocketing into full gear, Lynch’s HELL OF A NIGHT Tour will cover 35+ cities nationwide, including major stops in New York City, Boston, Houston and New Orleans and features special guest Big Loud Records’ Chris Lane and newcomer Tyler Rich.

Lynch’s run on Luke Bryan’s 2015 KICK THE DUST UP Tour wrapped this week and he took every opportunity to watch the celebrated entertainer’s set. Learning from Bryan, it's no surprise that fans and critics alike are buzzing about Lynch’s live show. Billboard praised, “[Lynch] opened up the show with a brief-yet-impressive set that included his hit singles ‘Cowboys And Angels’ and ‘Where It's At,’ as well as his current radio hit ‘Hell Of A Night’ -- bringing the crowd to its feet” while RollingStone.com lauded the “…series of big, loud riffs that took us to the country by way of the jungle.” Glamour noted, “Dustin Lynch is making quite a name for himself” and TooFab hailed him as “Country music’s sexiest up-and-comer.”

Recently inviting Lynch to join him on the road again for the 2016 KILL THE LIGHTS Tour, Bryan added an extra vote of confidence in an interview with Rolling Stone Country, “I love Dustin Lynch, because I see so many aspects of Dustin that were me. Dustin is that guy that loves every day, he just loves being at the party, and by that I mean the game. He's just goofy and naïve enough like me that he'll be a superstar."

Lynch’s current chart-rising single “Mind Reader” follows consecutive #1 smashes “Hell Of A Night” and the PLATINUM-certified, multi-week chart-topper “Where It’s At.”

Since releasing his PLATINUM debut single, “Cowboys And Angels,” Lynch has catapulted onto the Country music scene. Racking up over 35 million views on YouTube/VEVO, notching 74 million plus streams on Spotify, soaring to #1 on the MTV Music Meter and selling 2.7 million digital singles, he brings a fresh combination of traditional influences and edgy intensity to the genre. Producers Mickey Jack Cones, Brett Beavers and Luke Wooten showcase his progressive sound throughout his sophomore album, WHERE IT’S AT (Broken Bow Records), which debuted at #1 on the iTunes Country Albums Chart upon release and has tallied over 1 million tracks sold to date.
