Brooks & Dunn have won more CMA Awards than any vocal duo in history, taking home 19 trophies including Entertainer of the Year (1996) and 14 Vocal Duo of the Year awards in a 15-year span (1992-1999, 2001-2006). The duo also served as CMA Awards hosts from 2004-2006.

The talented trio of superstars, and longtime friends, last hit the CMA Awards stage together in 2008 when they performed “Cowgirls Don’t Cry.” They will return to The Colosseum at Caesars Palace in December following the successful initial run of dates for “REBA, BROOKS & DUNN: Together in Vegas.” More dates have been added to their one-of-a-kind residency in May 2016.
“The 49th Annual CMA Awards” is a production of the Country Music Association. Robert Deaton is the Executive Producer and Paul Miller is the Director. Nashville Sees Greatest Increase in Popularity

Nashville Sees Greatest Increase in Popularity Among International Visitors Compared to Other Major U.S. Cities
TripAdvisor Study Reveals Music City had 38% Year-Over-Year Increase in Search from Travelers Outside the U.S.

NASHVILLE, TN – Nashville leads as the U.S. city gaining popularity among international travelers, according to a TripAdvisor study announced today. TripAdvisor evaluated major U.S. tourism cities seeing the greatest increase in interest from travelers outside the U.S. based on searches on TripAdvisor¹, and Music City topped the charts with a 38% year-over-year increase in interest.

“People all over the world are hearing about Nashville and looking at making a visit to Music City,” Mayor Megan Barry said. “Our hospitality community has worked extremely hard for many years to expand our reach beyond the United States, and having a TV show named for and set in our city has broadcast Nashville’s name far and wide. Thanks to our live music scene, the spirit of creativity that permeates the city, our parks and greenways, our growing list of first-rate restaurants and iconic attractions such as Ryman Auditorium, The Hermitage, the Nashville Zoo and the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum, the word is out about Nashville.”

The study from the world’s largest travel site is not the only one that bodes well for Nashville tourism. The Nashville Convention & Visitors Corp (NCVC) estimates that 5 percent to 7 percent of overnight visitors in Nashville are from outside the country. From 2013 to 2014, Nashville saw a 10 percent increase in international visitation, according to the Global Cities Travel report by Oxford Economics.

International visitors are also traveling to Music City to attend some of the city’s largest music-related events. At the CMA Fest this past June, 10.3 percent of attendees were international visitors. At the Music City July 4th: Let Freedom Sing! event earlier this year, 5.6 percent came from other countries. And the Jack Daniel’s Bash on Broadway: New Year’s Eve in Music City in 2014 saw 7.7 percent of attendees come from abroad.

The NCVC’s international marketing promotions include:
·        Taxi cabs sporting Nashville’s “Visit Music City” message in the London area since August and through mid-November as part of World Travel Market. The city’s Jack Daniel’s Bash on Broadway: New Year’s Eve in Music City, featuring the GRAMMY-winning Kings of Leon, is promoted on the seatbacks inside the cabs.
·        Rhythms of the South, a marketing partnership with Atlanta and New Orleans.
·        Country to Country, a collaboration with the Country Music Association to promote country music throughout the world.

¹The TripAdvisor ranking of Top 10 U.S. Cities with the Greatest Increase in Traffic from International Travelers was based on the largest year-over-year increases in share of international traffic sessions on TripAdvisor August 2014-2015 compared to August 2013-2014 for U.S. cities with at least 100 million sessions during this period of time.

Kenny Chesney Spreads The Love

Kenny Chesney Spreads The Love
Eleven Stadium Shows (w. More Ahead) Are 1st First 2016 Tour Reveal
Miranda Lambert Again Pairs with 8-Time Entertainer of the Year
Sam Hunt, Old Dominion Are Also Part of All-Day Stadium Shows

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (Oct. 27, 2015) After breaking nine attendance records – many his own – and selling in excess of 1.3 million tickets on The Big Revival Tour, Kenny Chesney wanted to harness the energy of last year’s audiences. Naming his 2016 tour Spread the Love to reflect the No Shoes Nation’s passion for living life and loving music, he’s announcing the first wave of shows for next year – starting with the already-on-sale April 23 concert at Auburn’s Jordan Hare Stadium.

“People always want to know about the stadiums,” Chesney laughed, “because it’s a big show… a lot of music… and the kind of day people come together and celebrate friendship. We know a lot of people travel to these dates from all over, so to give them as much time as possible to get ready, I figured it’d be nice to get these out in front of our other shows! There could be a stadium date or two added, but for everyone who’s asking, let’s get next year started, right now.”

With the core line-up of Miranda Lambert, Sam Hunt and Old Dominion for these shows, a few cities will see a surprise artist in Hunt’s slot (those shows marked with asterisks below). Multi-platinum, 11-time CMA Award and two-time GRAMMY winner Miranda Lambert appeared at last year’s Soldier Field show – and the chemistry sparked this year’s re-teaming.

“Miranda was such an awesome addition in Chicago,” Chesney said. “When I was thinking about what I wanted to do this year, how to keep the energy we had and give the fans something truly great musically, she just made sense. She’s a songwriter, a great singer and she loves music every bit as much as I do. In a stadium, those things matter.”

Groundbreaking triple CMA Award nominee Sam Hunt, who’s nominated for Best New Artist plus Song and Single of the Year for “Take Your Time,” wrote Chesney’s pulsating No. 1 “Come Over.” "The second I heard Sam's demo for 'Come Over,' I knew he was onto something very unique," Chesney, who gave Hunt his first cut, said. "Watching him develop as an artist, seeing his songwriting evolve – and knowing how he brings it when he gets on stage makes him a perfect act to come out with us.”

Old Dominion, who return in the opening slot, are becoming Nashville’s band of songwriters on the verge of their very first No. 1 with “Break Up With Him.” In addition to penning Chesney’s three-week No. 1 “Save It For A Rainy Day,” members of the good-vibe group of musicians have written chart-toppers for Blake Shelton (“Sangria”), The Band Perry (“Better Dig Two”), Tyler Farr (“Guy Walks Into A Bar”) and Dierks Bentley (“Say You Do”).

“There is nothing like the energy of a stadium show,” Chesney said. “Old Dominion kicked the whole summer off last year with the best vibe. If we’re talking about Spread the Love, those guys are all about it. If there’s anything I want to see this summer, it’s that attitude that really defines what’s going on.”

“Two parts Mick Jagger, one part Bruce Springsteen and one part Billy Graham,” The Dallas Morning News deemed Chesney this summer – and the man hailed as “The King of the Road” takes his shows very seriously. “After last year, we’ve got a bar to clear, but I am fired up… and missing the fans already. There are a bunch more dates coming, but let’s get the first wave of major stadium shows on the calendar right now!”
