The Nashville Connection - Heroes Salute

The Nashville Connection - Heroes Salute

At a very well coordinated and well executed press conference at the Musicians Hall of Fame and Museum, the producers and orchestrators of The Nashville Connection - Heroes Salute presented their one-of-a-kind concept.

The Nashville Connection - Heroes Salute is a five- day event where aspiring and up-and-coming music stars can learn every aspect of working in the music business, participating and growing as an artist and/or songwriter while also supporting and generating exposure for several non-profit organizations that serve Veterans, their families and survivors of the fallen. There are several different modules within the event: there's the workshop Artist Experiential Sessions, where artists/songwriters have a very exclusive opportunity to interact with and learn from top positioned music professionals within the music business. The professionals are A&R Executives, Label Owners, Awarded Songwriters, Top Producers, Image Consultants, Master Vocal Coaches and everything in between. Another part of the experience is the Songster Bus, where selected songwriters and singers board a bus, stay on it for 7 hours traveling in 65 miles per hour writing a song with the help of Grammy Nominated and Grammy Awarded Songwriters. The song has to be completed before the trip is over, so it teaches the participants how to work under pressure to meet a deadline. When the buses arrive in Nashville, the teams from the Songster Buses will competitively perform their creations and a winner will be selected. The Nashville Connection has held a talent competition called Shine Night throughout the year as well at several locations. At the Press conference, winners from such a show, the very talented the Pfeiffer Twins performed "God Bless America" on a sole fiddle first which was then followed by sweet sibling a capella harmony.

One of the deserving organizations that will benefit from this event is Survivor Outreach Services . Their coordinator for Tennessee, Russ Maxey, is praising the Nashville Connection -Heroes Salute (NCHS) for the opportunity to reach people who otherwise might not have gotten in touch with them - both families who have lost a loved one in a conflict that are in need of guidance and support and also as a connector to music fans , who can donate and give their support to the Gold Star Families. Maxey also praises this music event to have connected him with the country music superstar Darryl Worley, who already has been and is doing a lot for the troops and their families. All you have to do is mention Worley's hit song "Have You Forgotten", and you know where his heart is. When the producers of the event approached him several years ago asking if he would participate, he did not hesitate: "I would give as much time as I possibly could to something like this", the says when we speak to him. He continues: "I get a real charge out of something like this, you know, uh, people really honing their craft, just letting that creative stuff just flow out and to know while we're doing that we're also helping some people". "It's the best of both worlds" (the latter quote also is another hit song of his). Besides being a part of NCHS and supporting the troops, he is busy touring and has three album projects in the making. One of them is going to be "The House That Hank Built", with original songs beginning in the vintage hay days and eventually ending in today's style. Besides Darryl Worley lending his name and fame and rendering his services to gain exposure for the NCHS and the non-profit organizations, providing invaluable music teachings are also top songwriter and producer Sam Tate, producer and new label owner Roger Ryan, Vice President of A&R at Warner Music Nashville Cris Lacy and well renowned vocal coach Dave Brooks. The latter doubles as a producer to keep the wheels turning and - I guess you can say triples - as a judge for the Songster Bus. The good cause of the project is the reason he jumped on board as well. "It is a supremely important event as we are giving back to those who have given everything."
For the public, The Nashville Connection - Heroes Salute is going to be a series of performances, ceremonies and jam sessions culminating in the Heroes Salute Concert at the Nashville Palace on October 17. For a schedule of events visit http://www.thenashvilleconnection.com/schedule.php

Proceeds are going to the following organizations: FUTURE (Families United Toward Universal Respect), Survivor Outreach Services , SC Gold Star Mothers & Families and The Military Family Lifestyle Charitable Foundation, Inc. (MFLCF).

HEADLINING WHEELS UP 2015 TOUR THIS WEEKEND

Trio Surprises Seventh 7FOR7 Grand-Prize Winner and Announces $400K
Fan Contribution to LadyAID at Sold Out Nashville Show

NASHVILLE, TN – Sept. 18, 2015 – After a sold-out performance for their first-ever headlining hometown stop at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena on Friday (9/11), Lady Antebellum will wrap their headlining WHEELS UP 2015 TOUR having proven “the group is far from running out of steam” (Billboard) with an “effervescent evening of impeccable harmonies” (The Tennessean). The 65-city tour that first launched in Europe earlier this year will soar into its final destination this weekend with shows in Pittsburgh, PA tonight (9/18) and Camden, NJ tomorrow (9/19).

“It’s hard to believe that we’re in the last weekend of this tour after checking off so many bucketlist moments with this show,” shares Lady A’s Charles Kelley. “The tour was our dream come true and it’s hard to really sum up exactly how much that means to us. We’re looking forward to spending a lot of time this winter writing new music - and we can’t wait for the next chapter of Lady A."

In addition to selling out their first-ever hometown arena show, last weekend also marked a special moment for the CMA nominated trio as they surprised Navy veteran Alejandro Tamez, with a year of mortgage relief as their last 7FOR7 giveaway with Quicken Loans. To watch a recap video of their moving 7FOR7 initiative on the road this summer, click here.

Additionally from their Music City performance Lady A, pictured here with Ellen Lehman, President of The Community Foundation of Middle Tennesseeannounced a contribution of $400,000 on behalf of their fans to LadyAID. The group set aside a portion of every ticket purchased over the course for their 2015 Tour to put towards the multi-level organization, which helps bring awareness and generate support for children locally, nationally and globally. LadyAID is a component fund of The Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee.
Fans can still celebrate the hit-packed trek, as Palladia will air the “Lady Antebellum: Wheels Up Tour” live special on Saturday, Sept. 26.

DR. RALPH STANLEY CELEBRATES 70TH ANNIVERSARY CONCERT

Manassas, Va. (September 18, 2015)  -  In 1945, a young Ralph Stanley joined his brother, the late Carter Stanley to form The Stanley Brothers, a pair that would go on to become one of the most influential music duos of all-time. They got their start calling into a local radio station in Norton, Va, where they would sing songs over the phone.  After 7 decades, three Grammy awards and an induction into the Grand Ole Opry, Dr. Ralph Stanley has no intention on slowing down as he hits the 70-year milestone.  To commemorate this accomplishment, he is playing a special show in Manassas, Va. on October 9 at the Hylton Performing Arts Center. He will be joined by his Grandson, Dove-award winner Nathan Stanley and the Clinch Mountain Boys for this momentous occasion.

"I've been very fortunate to have been performing for so long and still can make a living at it. A lot of artists don't last 10 years let alone 70 years" said a humble Dr. Ralph Stanley. "I still love to travel and perform. It's my life, I don't know what else I would do if I couldn't travel.  I'm very thankful to the good Lord for his many blessings."

Tickets for the spectacle are now available on www.hyltoncenter.org, or can be purchased by calling (888) 945-2468. VIP tickets (includes a FREE autograph poster of Dr. Ralph Stanley) start at just $55, with advance tickets just $42, and a special discount rate for students at $30 per ticket.

Dr. Ralph Stanley's blockbuster 2015 started in January, with the release of Man of Constant Sorrow. In addition to hitting #1 on the Billboard Bluegrass Albums chart, the release was also met with high critical acclaim. Rolling Stone said, "it's no surprise that none of the artists who were approached for this project turned him down," referring to the superstar lineup of features, which includes Robert Plant, Elvis Costello, Dierks Bentley, Lee Ann Womack, and many more.  Keep an eye out, as more dates are announced for the "Man of Constant Sorrow Tour" with Nathan Stanley and the Clinch Mountain Boys for 2016.

ERIC CHURCH AT COUNTRY MUSIC HALL OF FAME AND MUSEUM

ERIC CHURCH AT COUNTRY MUSIC HALL OF FAME AND MUSEUM

Nashville, Tenn. – (Nov. 18, 2015) – The Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum hosted an intimate reception of family, music industry friends, and media VIPs last night to celebrate the opening of its latest cameo exhibition, “Eric Church: Inside the Outsider.”  The exhibit features stage clothing, song manuscripts, photos, awards, a hand-written note from George Strait, and more memorabilia that was personally selected by this year’s top CMA Awards nominee for the display.  “Eric Church: Inside the Outsider” will run through February 2016 and is part of the normal admission to the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum.

During the reception, Church said, “I revere country music. I grew up a fan in North Carolina. I remember a distinct memory when I was 23, walking by the Country Music Hall of Fame just having a moment you know, as a songwriter that had been told ‘no’ a bunch. If I had the chance, had a time machine to go back and tell that guy what would happen over the next 10-15 years (laughs)...neither one of us would believe it.  I just walked through an exhibit that had my name all over it, and here’s what I learned. It doesn’t matter how great your songs are, how great a singer and player you are...I know this now, that it’s about the people that are in this room. It’s about everybody from songwriters, it’s about management, it’s about the band and crew that give it to ‘em every night. It’s about my family, it’s about the people at our house. It’s not about me, because it’s not possible for one person to make that happen.”

About Eric Church

The Country Music Association and four-time Academy of Country Music Award winner finished 2014 as country music’s top-selling artist, with the year’s highest debut and sales of any release in the format as the critical and commercial success The Outsiders reached Platinum status, marking more than one million albums sold. Debuting at No. 1 on both the Billboard Top 200 Albums Chart and Top Country Albums chart, “The Outsiders” garnered GRAMMY, CMA and ACM Album of the Year nominations and features his No.1 hits “Give Me Back My Hometown” and “Talladega” as well as Top 10 “Like A Wrecking Ball.” The Outsiders is the follow-up to Church’s Platinum-certified CHIEF, named the 2012 Album of the Year by both CMA and ACM, and GRAMMY-nominated for Best Country Album. The LP featured five Top 20 singles: “Homeboy” (certified Platinum for sales in excess of 1 million); the Top 10 “Like Jesus Does” and the Top 5 “Creepin’” (both certified Gold for sales in excess of 500,000); and two No. 1 hits “Drink in My Hand” (certified Platinum) and “Springsteen” (certified Double Platinum for sales in excess of 2 million singles).
