DIERKS BENTLEY, FLORIDA GEORGIA LINE & BRAD PAISLEY

INAUGURAL WINDY CITY LAKESHAKE LEAVES LASTING IMPRESSION ON CHICAGO WITH DIERKS BENTLEY, FLORIDA GEORGIA LINE, BRAD PAISLEY AND MORE KICKING OFF FESTIVAL’S FIRST YEAR

Highlights At Three-Day, Two-Stage Country Music Festival Include Awe-Inspiring Sets,
A Visit From The Stanley Cup And Coming Out On Top Despite Inclement Weather

Nashville, TN - June 22, 2015 - The inaugural Windy City LakeShake rocked Northerly Island in Chicago, IL this past weekend with many highlights across the three-day festival with over 35,000 fans in attendance.

Friday’s headliner Dierks Bentley wowed the eager crowd with his hit-filled set and brought out some surprise guests during the encore of his No. one song “Drunk On A Plane.” "Sometimes you're watching Dierks Bentley perform at LakeShake 2015 and sometimes the Stanley Cup champions storm the stage with the Cup during it. That happened tonight,” raved a stunned RedEye Chicago attending the country music superstar’s headlining set.

Heavy thunderstorms postponed festival activities on Saturday night, but Brad Paisley graciously stayed an extra day to keep the party going on Sunday adding to the already colossal final night lineup which included headliners Florida Georgia Line.

“As a native Chicagoan myself, Windy City LakeShake means the world to me,” said Brian O’ Connell Live Nation President of Country Touring. "The atmosphere in the crowd and backstage across the weekend was electric and while no first year of a festival is without its hiccups I am so thankful for the fans, the artists, my team, THE CITY OF Chicago and a special shout out to Brad Paisley for staying and playing on Sunday night, making this weekend one for the books and ending the festival with a serious bang!”

Claire Petrie Paves the Road for a Summer Smash with Somewhere Off The Map

Claire Petrie Paves the Road for a Summer Smash with Somewhere Off The Map

After the recent success of Playback Records country artist Claire Petrie’s debut release, (C’est la Vie) You Never Can Tell, this traditional songstress is back with her sophomore single, Somewhere Off The Map.
With the quick response this song is already getting in South America, Spain and Europe, it is officially impacting country radio today, Monday, June 22, 2015. Radio Programmers can find the single on the newest CDX #618. The single is also available on Airplay Direct at www.airplaydirect.com/music/grassrootspromotion.
The official music video is currently available on YouTube. Somewhere Off The Map reaches a perfect balance between the lyric’s sweet story of romance and adventure and the sultry deep tones of Petrie’s voice. Its combination of classic country melodies and new country energy will make this single the perfect song for the summer.
This is the second single off her latest album, The One, which was released earlier this year and produced by country music industry veteran Jack Gale. The album and first single, (C’est la Vie) You Never Can Tell, received rave reviews from radio and industry executives. She received high praise on her vocal delivery and fresh sound with her own original contemporary country flair. She has been featured in distinguished outlets including United Stations Radio Networks, Digital Rodeo, Radio Waves International, All About Country, CMR Nashville, Viva! NashVegas, Music Industry News Network, The Country Startpage, Country Music News International, among others. Digital Rodeo commented by saying “The entire album is the kind of collection that makes for putting the album on and playing all the way through, letting it tell a tuneful story of the artist and the listener, too. Well performed, well produced with lovely song choices. This project is a winner.”
With a musical mission to bring passion and purpose to the genre she loves, Claire has crafted her signature sound when she was on tour with her family. Raised in a large musical family in Saratoga Springs, New York, and currently in West Palm Beach, FL, she was born to musical parents who instilled a love of melody, harmony, rhythm and rhyme deep within her.

KELSEA BALLERINI TOPS THE COUNTRY RADIO AIRPLAY CHARTS

KELSEA BALLERINI TOPS THE COUNTRY RADIO AIRPLAY CHARTS FOR THE FIRST TIME WITH DEBUT SMASH “LOVE ME LIKE YOU MEAN IT”

Emerging Artist-Songwriter Joins Elite List Of Only 10 Solo Female Artists To Go #1 On The Billboard Country Airplay Chart With Their Debut Single

NASHVILLE, TN (June 22, 2015) – Black River Entertainment recording artist Kelsea Ballerini’s smash debut single “Love Me Like You Mean It” tops both the Mediabase and Billboard Country Airplay Charts for the first time this week. The proven hit co-written by Ballerini earns her a spot alongside only 10 of country music’s leading women including Faith Hill, Trisha Yearwood and Carrie Underwood who have achieved a #1 with their debut country single.

Additionally, Ballerini’s #1 marks the first time a solo female has landed at #1 on the Billboard Country Airplay chart in nearly three years since Carrie Underwood’s "Blown Away" on Nov. 3, 2012.

“It's a very exciting time for all of us at Black River,” said Vice President of Promotion Mike Wilson. “It’s an honor to lead this promotion team in taking Kelsea to country radio. Her music is great and radio has really embraced her. I’m so proud of our team and all of their efforts. This is a huge accomplishment!”

“Going into this, my goal with this first single was to introduce myself,” said Ballerini. “I believed in this song from the minute we wrote it and I always thought it would be the right first single and a great introduction of me. But there’s a fear that comes with that, because it’s the first impression with radio, with fans and with media. It’s so cool to know that the peace that I had when I wrote this song and picked it as the single has led me all the way to it being a #1. To be in a group with artists like Carrie Underwood, Faith Hill and Deana Carter that have had debut #1s and then had brilliant careers after that, makes me so excited for what’s to come. Today, I just want to celebrate with my team because it’s a big victory for all of us, we’ve all worked really hard. Thank you Country Radio for making this HUGE milestone happen and making one of my biggest dreams come true.”

Written by Ballerini, Forest Glen Whitehead, Josh Kerr and Lance Carpenter, “Love Me Like You Mean It” is featured on Ballerini’s debut album THE FIRST TIME, produced by Forest Glen Whitehead and Jason Massey. Praised by ROLLING STONE as one of the “10 Artists You Need To Know” from all genres, the breakout album debuted Top 5 on the Billboard Country Albums Chart.

Crowned one of CMT’s Next Women of Country, Ballerini has been on the rise with shout-outs from superstars Taylor Swift, Little Big Town, Kristian Bush and TODAY’s Hoda Kotb and landing on several 2015 “Ones to Watch” lists, including Billboard, Country Weekly, Rolling Stone Country, The Huffington Post, Radio.com, and Spotify

Ballerini will be hitting the road this summer playing shows nationwide including major festivals, select stops on Lady Antebellum’s WHEELS UP Tour and headline club dates with her first New York City show at The Gramercy Theatre announced today (6/22).

KRIS KRISTOFFERSON, CHARLEY PRIDE, JIM & SHERMAN HALSEY

THE NATIONAL MUSIC COUNCIL SET TO HONOR KRIS KRISTOFFERSON, CHARLEY PRIDE, JIM & SHERMAN HALSEY, COUNTRY MUSIC ASSOCIATION AND OTHERS AT 32nd ANNUAL AMERICAN EAGLE AWARDS IN NASHVILLE
Kris Kristofferson
NEW YORK, NY (June 22, 2015) The National Music Council will continue its 75th Anniversary Celebrations by bringing its Annual American Eagle Awards presentation to Nashville, Tennessee, for the very first time on July 11, 2015. The highly prestigious Eagle Awards are presented each year in national celebration of an individual’s or an organization’s long term contribution to America’s musical culture and heritage. This year, music legends Kris Kristofferson, Charley Pride and Jim Lauderdale will be honored, along with music management icon Jim Halsey and country music producer/director Sherman Halsey. A special award will be presented to the Nashville Mayor’s Office, Metro Nashville Public Schools, and Country Music Association & Country Music Foundation, for the creation and support of the Music Makes Us arts education initiative.

Dr. David Sanders, director of the National Music Council, notes that the individual recipients are being honored “not just for the incredible gifts they have given generations of music lovers throughout the world with their creative output, but also for their dedication to encouraging young musicians and potential musicians through their great support and commitment to music education.”

Past American Eagle Award recipients include Quincy Jones, Herbie Hancock, Clive Davis, Van Cliburn, Benny Goodman, Lionel Hampton, Dizzy Gillespie, Morton Gould, Dave Brubeck, Marian Anderson, Max Roach, Lena Horne, Roy Clark, Elliott Carter, The Oak Ridge Boys, Roberta Peters, Odetta, Leonard Slatkin, Stephen Sondheim, Sesame Street, Hard Rock Cafe and VH1 Save the Music Foundation. This year's event in Nashville will mark the 32nd year of formal presentations of the Awards.

The event will also feature the New York Emmy award winning animation created by the NMC and the Music Publishers Association of the United States, as part of a primary school lesson plan that encourages kids to think about the ramifications of taking other people’s creative works without permission. Sanders frames the animated piece as “part of a world-wide effort by creators to change the narrative in terms of fostering an understanding that the online protection of creative works enhances freedom of speech and the marketplace of ideas, rather than encroaching on them.“

The National Music Council is celebrating its 75th year as a forum for the free discussion of this country’s national music affairs and challenges. Founded in 1940 to act as a clearinghouse for the joint opinion and decision of its members and to work to strengthen the importance of music in our life and culture, the Council’s initial membership of 13 has grown to almost 50 national music organizations, encompassing every important form of professional and commercial musical activity.

Through the cooperative work of its member organizations, the National Music Council promotes and supports music and music education as an integral part of the curricula in the schools of our nation, and in the lives of its citizens. The Council provides for the exchange of information and coordination of efforts among its member organizations and speaks with one voice for the music community whenever an authoritative expression of opinion is desirable.

Proceeds from the event support the Council’s music education advocacy efforts. For ticket and sponsorship information, contact NMC Director David Sanders at sandersd@mail.montclair.edu

Presentations and panel are both open to the public and admission to the panel is free with a NAMM visitor's day badge for $10. Proceeds from the luncheon event will benefit the NAMC Music Education and Creator's Rights Advocacy Programs with tickets priced at $150. For more information, visit www.musiccouncil.org.

Charlie Daniels' The Journey Home Project

Charlie Daniels' The Journey Home Project joins Tennessee's Volunteer Behavioral Health Care System to rally donors to fund veterans' assistance programs

Nashville, Tenn. (June 22, 2015) – Far too often veterans return home from service with tolls of war too great to bear alone. The horrors of war in the Middle East and other parts of the world have left some of our bravest personnel with injuries that require intense rehabilitation and will affect them for the rest of their lives, and others with deep psychological scars that make it difficult to re-enter into civilian life. In an effort to help, The Journey Home Project, a non-profit co-founded by country music icon Charlie Daniels, is striving to connect donors to veterans’ organizations that do the most good.

Through public service announcements for Volunteer Behavioral Health Care System (VBHCS), a non-profit, which serves 31 counties in Upper Cumberland, Southeast and Middle Tennessee, Charlie Daniels and The Journey Home Project are seeking donors throughout Middle Tennessee to assist veterans in need. Sharing a common goal of helping veterans cope with conditions like PTSD, substance abuse and co-occurring traumatic disorders. The Journey Home Project and VBHCS hope they can better spread the word to potential donors throughout the state with a passion to giving back to those who have made sacrifices to protect our freedom.

The Journey Home Project was established in 2014 by Daniels, his long-time manager, David Corlew, as well as Ed Hardy, Mercedez Longever and Joe Longever, to seek out support for those organizations that have proven to be the most valid and effective when it comes to meeting veterans’ needs.

“Between Charlie and me, we have traveled abroad to so many military bases to show support for our troops and it means so much to us personally,” Corlew said. “Every time we do events or put fundraisers together, people want to know where the money is going and how we can help their situation. Through The Journey Home Project, we are able to make decisions on where the money will go and how it can best help those in need."

Charlie Daniels' 40th Anniversary Volunteer Jam will take place on August 12, 2015. Proceeds from the event will be donated to The Journey Home Project and The Predators Foundation. Daniels will bring some of the music industry’s most renowned performing artists including Ted Nugent, Trace Adkins, Alabama, Montgomery Gentry, Tracy Lawrence, Lee Greenwood and many others, to Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena to further fuel the cause and honor military servicemen and women in attendance.

“These artists and friends of mine have all come together out of the goodness of their hearts to put on a night of entertainment all for the purpose of honoring our nation’s veterans,” says Daniels.

The concert is presented by Copperweld and produced by David Corlew & Associates in association with Outback Concerts. WSM-AM and 95.5 FM Nash ICON serve as the official radio partners. Ticket prices start at $17.68 with limited VIP packages still available at the Bridgestone Arena box office and Ticketmaster.com.

If you are a veteran or know of a veteran who is in need of assistance, please contact the agency at 1-877-567-6051. Volunteer Behavioral Health Care System has provided prevention, treatment and recovery services for more than 40 years. As a leader in behavioral health care, VBHCS continues to be dedicated to the service of community members across Tennessee.

For more information about the services of VBHCS contact the agency’s customer service department at 1-877-567-6051 or visit the website at www.vbhcs.org.

Taylor Swift in Deutschland gefeiert: Zwei ausverkaufte Konzerte + Goldauszeichnung
