DAVID SHELBY “AULD LANG SYNE” FREE DOWNLOAD

DAVID SHELBY TO RELEASE RUST BELT RENDITION OF
“AULD LANG SYNE” JUST IN TIME FOR THE HOLIDAYS

Shelby-fied Seasonal Single Available
For FREE Download December 26, 2014
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (December 16, 2014)—Just in time for the holidays, country recording artist David Shelby (Highway South Records, Detroit MI), will introduce his own twist on the classic “Auld Lang Syne.”  In true David Shelby character, music enthusiasts can anticipate a “new ring” to the traditional classic—filled with unexpected tempo and instrumental “surprises” throughout the track.
“We thought we’d spice-up the production with a little rock ‘n roll kick, and I broke out the horn,” introduced David Shelby who is proficient on a number of instruments including the trumpet.  “Sometimes, when people sing this song, it seems melancholy—almost blue; I wanted to add my fun-loving personality in a more excitable composition and I think we accomplished that.”
Shelby recorded his version of “Auld Lang Syne” in Nashville alongside producer Russ Zavitson who is also the co-producer of his new EP entitled OH YEAH.  The seasonal single will be available for FREE DOWNLOAD via his web page (davidshelbymusic.com) and artist Facebook page (www.facebook.com/davidshelbymusic) beginning Friday, December 26, 2014.
Infusing Detroit’s rock n’ roll roots with the traditional Nashville country vibe, Shelby identifies his music as “Rust Belt Country.” He recently released his six-track EP
(OH YEAH) in November. His single, by the same name, is quickly gaining traction in the country music genre.  Detroit’s 99.5 WYCD (Michigan) featured “Oh Yeah” in its “Country Showdown.” Shelby’s tune ran up against recordings by The Doobie Brothers (featuring Zac Brown), Olivia Lane and Little Big Town to remain a three-time winning contender to appear in the WYCK Showdown Hall of Fame giving way Dierks Bentley’s “Say You Do” in the final round.
A well-rounded musician and instrumentalist, David’s music reflects his appreciation for Nashville and country music, the progression of rock n’ roll, while keeping true to his “Motor City” roots.  His most recent recording project, OH YEAH (produced, mastered, and engineered by Teddy Gentry and Charles English of Music Brothers Productions, Russ Zavitson and Brian Foraker), seamlessly combines the cultures while remaining true to his unique style. OH YEAH is available via all major digital retail outlets.

About Lupus
Systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE, or lupus) is a chronic autoimmune disease that can affect the joints and almost every major organ in the body, including the heart, kidneys, skin, lungs, and brain. As many as 1.5 million people in the United States have lupus which affects mostly women during childbearing years, though men and children can have the disease. Lupus is three times more common in African-American women than in Caucasian women and is also more prevalent in women of Latino, Asian, and Native American descent.
About the ALR
The Alliance for Lupus Research (ALR) is a national voluntary health organization dedicated to finding better treatments and ultimately preventing and curing systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE, or lupus), a debilitating autoimmune disease. The organization is based in New York City and chaired by Robert Wood Johnson IV, a member of the founding family of Johnson & Johnson. Since its founding in 1999, the ALR has given more money to lupus research than any non-governmental agency in the world. By the end of 2014, the ALR will have committed nearly $100 million to fund the most innovative and aggressive research into the cause, prevention and cure of lupus.  The board of directors funds all administrative and fundraising costs, allowing one hundred percent of all donations from the public, and the proceeds of our signature grassroots fundraising program, Walk with Us to Cure Lupus, to go directly to support research programs. More information can be found at www.alr.org.
The ALR board of directors funds all ALR administrative and fundraising expenses, so 100% of all donations received go directly to support lupus research.

Sarah Ross Releases Remake of Smash Hit “You’re No Good,”
In Celebration of Song’s 40th Anniversary

iTunes Link - "You&squot;re No Good"

December 15, 2014…..Putting a modern spin on a classic song, Average Joes’ recording artist, Sarah Ross, celebrates the 40th anniversary of “You’re No Good” with the remake of the iconic song made famous by Linda Ronstadt in 1975. “You’re No Good” can be purchased on both Google Play and iTunes.
“I’m honored to introduce this song to a whole new generation of fans,” said 19-year old Sarah Ross. “Growing up, my mom used to play the song all the time at home, and it has always been one of my favorites.”
The original version of “You’re No Good” was written by Clint Ballard Jr. and first released by Dee Dee Warick in 1963, but it first charted for Betty Everett in 1963. The single peaked at #51 on Billboard’s “Hot 100” and #5 on Cashbox’s “R & B Locations” chart. In 1975, Linda Ronstadt’s version became a #1 hit on Billboard’s “Hot 100.” In the U.K., the Swinging Blue Jeans had a version of the song which hit #3 in the summer of 1964.
Ross, who was an early contestant on Season 12 of American Idol, was first introduced to fans on Average Joes’ highly successful Mud Digger compilation albums. She is currently in the studio recording her debut EP due out in early 2015. A music video for “You’re No Good” will be released in the coming weeks.

About Sarah Ross
At 19, Sarah Ross is forging the trail for women in the fast-growing country/hip hop-rap genre of music. A talented singer, songwriter and rapper, the New Jersey native has been melding two of her favorite genres since she was 16.
Signed to Average Joes Entertainment after label head, Shannon Houchins, saw her on Season 12 of American Idol, Sarah has been in Nashville one short year yet has already found recording success. The singer recorded with the label's group, The Lacs, on their #3 Billboard album, and has had songs included on the popular Mud Digger, compilation albums along with Colt Ford, The Lacs with J.J. Lawhorn and Montgomery Gentry. She also claims her country roots along with label mate Colt Ford in “We All Country” by the Moonshine Bandits.
