The LACS’ New Video Inducted Into The Boot’s "Video Shootout Hall of Fame"
Duo Winding Down Final Weeks of 2014 Tour Schedule

The LACS

Nashville, TN, December 2, 2014….After winning for four consecutive weeks on The Boot’s fan-voted “Video Shootout,” The LACS’ new video, “Nothing in Particular,” has been inducted into The Boot’s “Video Shootout Hall of Fame.” The duo is currently winding down 2014 on the last leg of their national tour.
The month-long competition pitted the laid-back, low-key clip against videos from country stars Tyler Farr and Jerrod Niemann in the first week, Thomas Rhett and Ray Scott in the second week, Rodney Atkins and Carrie Underwood in week three, and Kristian Bush and Tim McGraw in the fourth and final week.
“I never dreamed The LACS would get a Hall of Fame induction so early in their career!” said Average Joes’ CEO, Shannon Houchins. “I’m so proud of these guys.”
The LACS had a packed 2014 tour schedule having played more than 120 shows from coast to coast. They have also just started recording their new album scheduled for release in 2015.
About The LACS
The LACS first received national attention with their Top 15 Billboard Country Album, 190 Proof, released in 2012, which remained on the chart for over 73 consecutive weeks. The album featured Colt Ford, Bubba Sparxxx and the song, “Shake It,” with Big & Rich. Since then, the duo, comprised of Brian King and Clay Sharpe, has sold roughly 1 million digital tracks, 350,000 albums, collectively earned more than 35 million YouTube views and were most recently featured in the Wall Street Journal.  Their third studio album, Keep It Redneck, a #3 debut on Billboard’s Top Country Albums chart, is in stores now.

The Cheaters Have Got A Way With Makin' Music Videos

Country’s daring duo is showing their fans that they’ve ‘got a way’ with making music videos. The Cheaters are releasing the video for their debut single “She Got A Way” from their EP Waitin’ On Right Now. Filmed in Malibu, this feel good video vibes perfectly with the airy lyrics of “She Got A Way.” The talented and imaginative director, Jakob Owens, and producer Spencer Ray use the flawless natural backdrop as well as the gorgeous model and well known blogger, Daniella Grace, to help paint a musical picture for the viewers.
About the Director:

Having worked with artists like Jessie McCartney, Pac Div, Dizzy Wright, Khleo Thomas and upcoming artists like KYLE, Furturistic, The Cheaters and many more, he’s no longer the most kept secret in music video directing. Jakob's videos have collectively reched over 10 million views on his combined channels.
About the Producer:
Spencer Ray has been producing music videos and short films since his early teens. After graduating from Full Sail University in Orlando, FL for film production in 2011, he set his sights for the West Coast and never looked back. His talent was immediately recognized, as he quickly landed a job with ESPN and Discovery Channel. He currently lives in Hermosa Beach, CA as a freelance producer/director/photographer/graphic designer.
About the Love Interest:
Daniella Grace is a model, blogger and actress that got her start as a model at a young age. She began traveling and exploring multiple regions of the world, and eventually found herself settling in Los Angeles pursuing a career as an actress. Daniella recently landed her first major role in the feature film “Sand Castles”, due out in the 2014 festival circuit.

About The Cheaters:

These coastal Maryland natives co-wrote over half of the songs on the EP, and also featured celebrated writers such as Will Hoge, Frank Myers, Luke Laird, Ashley Gorley, Jonathan Singleton, Phil O’Donnell, David Lee Murphy, Shane McAnally, Preston Brust, Chris Lucas, Phil Barton, Chris DeStefano,  Josh Osborne, Dean Dillon, Tommy Harden, and Erik Dylan.  Some notable musicians that played for the record include Tommy Harden (drums), David Labruyere (Bass), Adam Shoenfeld (Guitar), Jeff King (Guitar), Jim “Moose” Brown (Keys), Dan Dugmore (Pedal Steel and Lap Steel). The EP was produced by songwriter, producer and drummer, Tommy Harden, who also tours with Reba McEntire. This project perfectly demonstrates The Cheaters thriving creativity while pushing their horizons artistically.

John Oates Debuts Another Good Road TV Special

John Oates Debuts Another Good Road TV Special on Palladia
on Saturday, January 24, 2015 at 9 PM
DVD Release - January 20, 2015

December 2, 2014, Nashville, TN… John Oates live, up close, and without a net, Another Good Road, will debut as a TV special on high-definition music channel Palladia, Saturday, January 24, 2015 at 9 PM, and will be released as a DVD with bonus, live CD (PS Records /Warner Elektra) on January 20, 2015.  Born from Oates’ dedication to American roots music, the captivating special traces the various roads he’s followed in his life, both literally and figuratively.
Led by director Sean Hagwell, the docu-concert transports the viewer into the singer/songwriter’s private universe – exploring his two worlds in Woody Creek, Colorado and Music City. Shot live with no retakes or pick ups in a funky Nashville recording studio, Oates and the band’s chemistry is entrancing from the outset, presenting a clinic in both the mystery and mastery of classic American musical forms. This is real music, made by real musicians, in real time.
Oates remarks, “This video is a real as it gets-one take on each song and no post production fixes or overdubs-just an amazing band and singers with the intensity and energy of playing these songs for the first time.  We had one day, one chance to make magic together, and the results are Another Good Road.”
Backed by A-list Nashville players, the band includes Shane Theriot on guitar, Steve Mackey on bass, Russ Pahl on pedal steel, Wendy Moten and Bekka Bramlett on background vocals, Kevin McKendree on keyboards and Johnny Richardson on Drums. “I’ve had the honor and pleasure of performing and recording with all of the players on the video over the past few years,” Oates shared. “I trust their instincts, respect their musicianship and count on them as friends and professionals.”
Oates shines alternating between acoustic and electric guitars, his early influences of Doc Watson and Mississippi John Hurt clearly apparent. His expressive voice still delivers the soulfulness that made him a household name, yet it’s now tinged with a sweetly honeyed patina that, with lilting and emotional precision, continually evokes the late soul legend, Curtis Mayfield.
Oates is not just embracing the music that inspired him, but also nurturing it, developing it, and honing it with a modern and relevant edge. Another Good Road is the next stop on a musical journey John Oates started more than 50 years ago; a compelling sonic and visual marker along his ever-expanding highway.

About John Oates:
John Oates is one half of one of rock's most successful duos of all time, Hall & Oates, as well as an accomplished solo artist. He has sold over 80 million albums, is a member of the Songwriters Hall of Fame, and a BMI Icon. In addition to his continuing touring with Daryl Hall, John just completed a world solo tour with J.O.B. (John Oates Band) and has been producing and writing with some of the most well known artists in the pop, R&B and Americana genres. In 2014 he was inducted in to the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, along with Daryl Hall, and released his fifth solo album Good Road To Follow
