Shane Barnhill Announces August 30 Release of "Country Lovin' "

Shane Barnhill Announces August 30 Release of "Country Lovin' "
Unveils Cover Art, Track Listing, Promoter of "Pain" for Texas Radio

Houston, TX Shane Barnhill, is pleased to announce the August 30, 2014 release date of "Country Lovin,'  his third full-length studio album. A combination of Texas and country, "Country Lovin' " was produced at R/R Studios in Lake Jackson, Texas by noted producers Jason Rooks (who has worked with John Michael Montgomery, Los Lonely Boys, Clint Black, Junior Gordon and has written songs recorded by Travis Tritt, Lone Star and Trace Adkins) and Bobby Terry, who contributed significantly to the project as guitar player (he has played and written for Toby Keith, Willie Nelson, Jamey Johnson, Alan Jackson, Trace Adkins and more) and session leader. "Pain," the first single off the album, is being released on September 2, 2014, and will be promoted to Texas radio by Dillon Steen"Country Lovin' " is being digitally distributed by TuneCore and is available for pre-order at iTunes.

"This album is a long-time coming and I am so proud of what we have done with it," stated Barnhill"After hearing the songs Jason and Bobby wrote, I knew I had something that wasn't being put out by most artists. The songs I chose had meaning and substance as I want to record songs that mean something and aren't just bubble-gum, good time songs."

A performer on the Texas scene for more than ten years, Barnhill, who is a firefighter/ paramedic by day, called on accumulated life experiences to write and gather outside material for this effort. With a style he has termed, "Jukebox Music," his love of songwriting and varied influences have carried over into "Country Lovin.' "

Barnhill's originals are very heartfelt but, more than that, very personal. For instance, "Take Away" was written by his father, Steve Barnhill Sr., and discovered during a recent move in a book of songs. The lyrics are a letter from Heaven written by a father who died too young. Upon its discovery, it was one verse and a chorus, an immediate grab that demanded to be completed; Barnhill finished it as reading to the family and provides an emotional tug on the heartstrings in this fan favorite

"The Note," is written to Barnhill's talented wife, Amanda (who took the photo featured on the album cover), and wives everywhere who have complained about being cut short by the man in their life. Written alongside his "brothers" at the firehouse, this song features a driving electric guitar and is the epitome of a being able to dance your troubles away.

With such talented songwriters and producers alongside
Barnhill's true country vocals,
"Country Lovin' " is meant to strike a chord with the many emotions represented in its musical content.

"Country Lovin' "Track Listing with writers credits:
  1. "Rednecks" (Bobby Terry)
  2. "It Don't Hurt to Ask" (Dean Dillon)
  3. "Pain" (Jason Rooks/ Bobby Terry)
  4. "Country Lovin' " (Brett James)
  5. "Take Away" (Steve Barnhill Sr./ Shane Barnhill)
  6. "The Note (Shane Barnhill/ Brandon McCartney/ Jason Blackman/ Mike Oder Sr./ Wayne Diehl)
  7. "Whiskey Wrote This Song" (Jason Rooks/ Bobby Terry)
  8. "Put a Little Stank On It" (Jason Rooks)
  9. "Creep" (Thom Yorke)
