JOHNNY ORR Featured On INSIDE MUSIC ROW
Now Through Sunday

Southern Life, Music & Improv On Tap

Nashville, TN (July 23, 2014) - JOHNNY ORR is featured on INSIDE MUSIC ROW now through Sunday in an episode that highlights three songs ("You Can't Hide Love," "We'll Get By (The Autism Song)" and "Down South") from his debut  EP, DOWN SOUTH.   The amped-up interview with Jennifer Vickery touches on Orr's Southern childhood, the EP, singing in church and a family talent for improvisational impersonation (Daffy Duck, Larry the Cable Guy, Barney Fife, etc).

Johnny Orr chats with IMR's Jennifer Vickery

Sound interesting?  It is. "I had a blast cuttin' up with Jennifer," notes the enigmatic Orr.  "It probably comes across in the interview."  The popular program airs on ZUUS COUNTRY Thursday (7/24) at 7:00 p.m., Saturday (7/26) at 2 and 6 p.m. and again on Sunday (7/27) at 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. CDT.  Additional broadcast outlets include: Showcase Channel - UK, FamilyNet, AMG-TV Network, Rural TV, Blue Highways Television, Country99TV - New Zealand and Öppna Kanalen Växjö - Sweden.  Total household reach is 100 MILLION.  Fans can also view IMR Episode #1367 online at ZUUS.com.

Orr just wrapped the filming of his new video and is currently on a radio promotion tour that will carry him to stations in Kentucky and Virginia.  His previous video, "We'll Get By (The Autism Song)" continues to garner fans, raise funds for Autism awareness and has over 133,000 YouTube views.

Johnny is the talented tunesmith and lead vocalist for The Johnny Orr Band (JOB).  Formed in 2007, the group has become known for their "rough and ready" Southern Rock/Country sound, and has opened for Kenny Chesney, the Zac Brown Band, Little Big Town, Gretchen Wilson, Parmalee, Cole Swindell, Tyler Farr, Jason Michael Carroll and more. "Down South," the EP's title track, marks the group's first Country radio single, and this chart-active ode to Dixie is making a positive impression at radio and with relevant media.  Recent coverage includes Young Country TV, Behind the Scene with Kenny Dean, America's Country Connection, BILLBOARD.com, MusicRow, All Access and CMAWorld.com.

DOWN SOUTH is available on iTunes and will be released at retail later this fall.  The "six pack" delivers original songs of "honesty and heart" and marks the revival of a true Southern art form.  Produced by Orr, the project was engineered by Grammy winner Chad Carlson.

(Nashville, TN) July 23, 2014 - Country group, LiveWire, releases the video today for their current single, "Drivin' You Outta My Mind."  Billboard.com is hosting the world premiere of the video at this link.

The video was filmed, produced and directed by the team of noted Nashville videographer Flick Wiltshire (Tracy Lawrence/Alan Jackson) and Clif Doyal for Way Out West Records.

The beautiful red rock buttes and mesas of the Gloss Mountains combined with the desolate sand dunes of the Little Sahara State Park in western Oklahoma provided the perfect locations to capture the band's performance.  The stunning visuals, accompanied by the haunting lyrics of the up-tempo single, "Drivin' You Outta My Mind," take the listener on a fast ride through the wide open West.  Adding to the eye-popping appeal of the clip is a candy apple red 1967 GTO that was customized specifically for use in the video by Dangerous Motors of Cushing, OK.

"Drivin' You Outta My Mind" is currently Top 40 on both the Texas Music Chart and the Texas Regional Radio Report and is climbing the MusicRow chart.  Critical acclaim for the single has been very strong, including Music News Nashville who raved "This very well might be the cut that - to quote the Doors - pushes them on through to the other side!"

LiveWire continues its "Drivin' You Outta My Mind Tour" with a performance this Saturday (7/26) at the Boone County Fair in Columbia, MO.

The video for "Drivin' You Outta My Mind" can also be downloaded by music industry and media at CD Texhttp://www.cdtex.com/mds_video_livewire.htm.

RALPH STANLEY IS ELECTED

RALPH STANLEY IS ELECTED TO AMERICAN ACADEMY OF ARTS & SCIENCES

Will be Honored Oct. 11 in Class With Al Pacino, John Irving, Jules Feiffer

Nashville – July 23, 2014 - Trailblazing musician Ralph Stanley has been elected a fellow of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences in a class that also includes actor and director Al Pacino, novelists John Irving and Annie Proulx, Pulitzer Prize-winning cartoonist Jules Feiffer, former Secretary of Labor Robert Reich and oceanographer and discoverer of the Titanic, Robert Ballard, among others.
In May, Stanley was awarded an honorary doctor of music degree from Yale University.  It was his second such distinction, the first having been conferred in 1976 by Lincoln Memorial University.
Stanley will be inducted formally into the Academy at its headquarters in Cambridge, Massachusetts on Oct. 11.  The Academy was founded in 1780 to recognize America’s foremost “thinkers and doers.”   Among its past members are George Washington, Benjamin Franklin, Ralph Waldo Emerson and Martin Luther King Jr.  Current members include more than 250 Nobel laureates and 60 Pulitzer Prize-winners.
Recognized as the leading exponent of traditional Appalachian music and a founding father of bluegrass, Stanley has spread his sound around the world during his 68 years of touring and recording.  He began his career in 1946 as the younger half of the Stanley Brothers, a group then headed by singer-songwriter Carter Stanley.  The Stanley Brothers performed, recorded and appeared on television together until Carter’s death in 1966.
In the years following, Stanley built and led a band that at various times featured such rising talents as Ricky Skaggs, Keith Whitley, Larry Sparks and Charlie Sizemore.  So significant was the Stanley sound in the 2000 movie O Brother, Where Art Thou? that Ralph rocketed from icon to superstar.  He was profiled by novelist David Gates in The New Yorker and went on to earn a Grammy as top male country music vocalist, edging out Johnny Cash, Willie Nelson, Tim McGraw and Lyle Lovett.  To date, he has won three Grammys.
Stanley’s high, forlorn vocals are featured in the seven-million-selling O Brother soundtrack album. In addition, he was the first performer to be inducted into the Grand Ole Opry in the 21st Century.  He is a member of the International Bluegrass Music Hall of Fame and a recipient of the National Medal of Arts.

RANDY TRAVIS TO RELEASE
INFLUENCE VOL. 2: THE MAN I AM
ON AUGUST 19TH

ALBUM AVAILABLE FOR PRE-ORDER ON ITUNES NOW

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (July 23, 2014) – Multi-Platinum and seven-time GRAMMY winning icon Randy Travis’ new album Influence Vol. 2: The Man I Am due August 19th is available for pre-order on iTunes now. Fans who pre-order the album will get “Don't Worry 'Bout Me” as a special instant download. Much like his popular Influence Vol. 1 collection released last year, Vol. 2 reminds us of the unique feel created in the studio that shines through on each song by Travis and a special group of friends he calls band members.

Travis and his music have been a major influence to other country artists throughout his celebrated career. On Influence Vol. 2: The Man I Am, Travis again pays homage to some of the songs and artists that were instrumental in crafting his musical career.

“We had such a great time putting together Influence Vol. 1, but there were still so many musical heroes of yesteryear that I learned from and wanted to honor. We had no choice but to release a second volume. The “Influence” that the older, great ones had on me, and the “Influence” that I may, somehow, have on the ones that come along after me, is God’s way of allowing us to pay it forward. It is my prayer answered—and, His will done—it is what makes me, “the man I am.” – Randy Travis

Nashville, TN – July 22, 2014 – Country star Kristian Bush made his solo debut at the Grand Ole Opry on Friday night (7/18). The country singer, also known as one-half of Platinum-selling duo Sugarland, stepped up to the microphone and took the opportunity to introduce his voice and new material to the live audience.

"I feel so grateful, to the Opry for inviting me, to the audience who heard me use my voice, and to my brother for joining me in both writing this song and performing it on such a hallowed stage. It was an amazing experience, like a roller coaster I want to get back on,” said Bush.

Bush performed his new single “Trailer Hitch,” an infectious song that carries the underlying message of enjoying the gift of giving back over the desire for material things. Already available for pre-order on iTunes, "Trailer Hitch" is set to hit Country radio nationwide on July 28. He also treated the packed crowd to the tune “Southern Gravity,” his own love song to the South. Both songs will be featured on Bush’s upcoming debut solo album for which he is collaborating with longtime producer Byron Gallimore to be released on Streamsound Records.

Bush has been leaving his mark on music for more than two decades. The singer, songwriter, producer and multi-instrumentalist started his career with folk rock duo Billy Pilgrim in the early '90s, releasing a much-lauded pair of albums for Atlantic Records (self-titled debut and BLOOM). In 2004, he exploded onto the country music scene with Sugarland, surpassing sales of over 22 million albums worldwide, achieving five No. 1 singles and winning numerous awards, including Grammys, AMAs, ACMs, CMT Music Awards and CMAs. To date, Bush garnered six BMI Awards for his songwriting, and in 2011 founded the music publishing company and songwriting collective Songs of the Architect. Recent producing/songwriting collaborations include Mike Elizondo, Rita Wilson, Dia Frampton, Ellis Paul, Matt Nathanson, the dB’s, Martin Johnson of Boys Like Girls, Pretty Little Liars star Lucy Hale, and up-and-comers including Larkin Poe, Natalie Stovall, Canaan Smith, Jaida Dreyer, Alana Springsteen, and The Voice contestant Savannah Berry.
