8 Days with Brandon Chase

BUDDING COUNTRY ARTIST BRANDON CHASE STANDS UP AGAINST
HUMAN TRAFFICKING WITH 8 DAYS FILM AND MOVEMENT

CHASE USES MUSIC PLATFORM AND SONG “ARISE” TO INSPIRE HOPE AND
ACTION IN HUMAN TRAFFICKING

Nashville, TN– (July 18, 2014) - The Voice Team Blake Season 5 contestant and rising country music star Brandon Chase has a heart for missions and especially those captive in modern day slavery. Human trafficking is getting more ink these days but it’s still somewhat a silent epidemic that happens all over the world, and even here in the United States. Chase is broken hearted over this devastating issue and has been passionate about stopping this horrific crime even before it was a “hot topic” issue. In 2011, Chase wrote a ballad, “Arise,” to encourages victims to trust in the redemption and hope that is available to them.
His heart and song earned him a role in the upcoming feature film 8 DAYS. Produced by Dallas based film company After Eden Pictures and SHARE a 501(c) 3 non-profit. This film is inspired by actual events to raise awareness and funds for anti-trafficking organizations and safe homes across the country.
“Words can’t even begin to explain how awful this crime truly is,” says Chase. “There’s nothing more precious than a human life and it disgusts me to know that there are people out there that think they have the right to buy and sell a priceless soul as if they were just some inanimate object.”

The 8 DAYS movement, dedicated to ending human trafficking, will host events in eight major US cities as fundraisers, political rallies, screenings and concerts that benefit local sex trafficking organizations. This unconventional and unique approach to filmmaking pours ticket sales directly into local sex trafficking organizations. These organizations will use these funds to rescue and rehabilitate victims as well as build and expand safe homes. Brandon Chase will be a featured musical guest at these events.

“Becoming aware of the fact that human trafficking is happening all around us is the first step towards making a difference and becoming vocal about the crime starts to shake things up,” continues Chase. “Taking action is what results in the freedom of the victims and the captivity of the perpetrators. I want to see trafficking eradicated and real justice served, that’s why I’m taking action."

LADY ANTEBELLUM'S UPCOMING FIFTH STUDIO ALBUM 747 TOUCHES DOWN ON SEPT. 30

Trio Unveils 747 Album Cover, Track Listing and Additional Details for New Album

Nashville, TN – July 18, 2014 – Seven-time GRAMMY winning trio Lady Antebellum announced today that their fifth studio album 747 will land in stores on Sept. 30. The album’s sultry lead single “Bartender” is already soaring up the country charts to become one of their fastest rising singles.  Nathan Chapman co-produced the 11-song disc with Lady A for the Capitol Records Nashville release.

“We unanimously knew that our album title had to be 747,” said Lady A’s Hillary Scott. “The track itself has this pushing, driving spirit about it that sums up our attitude right now.  We are pushing ourselves as a band and as songwriters…taking ourselves out of our comfort zone and not taking ourselves too seriously.   There's an urgency and an energy to it that we've never released before."

“We are so ready to get this music out,” continued Charles Kelley. “To get the reaction we’ve gotten from ‘Bartender’ has only made us more fired up about the rest of these songs!”

“We had the opportunity to write with some new songwriters and really dig for outside songs that were songs we wish we’d written,” added Dave Haywood. “As we took them into the studio, we changed our approach and challenged ourselves to try some new things that were outside of what we’d done before."

JESSE McREYNOLDS CELEBRATES HIS 85th BIRTHDAY

BLUEGRASS LEGEND JESSE McREYNOLDS CELEBRATES HIS 85th BIRTHDAY
AT THE PICK INN WITH FAMILY & FRIENDS

Nashville, TN (July 18, 2014) - “I’m here as a friend and a fan,” Grand Ole Opry star Jan Howard declared to a crowd of Jesse McReynolds’ closest friends and family on July 13th, 2014, in Gallatin, Tennessee.  It was a lively gathering on a sunny Sunday at Jesse’s farm, the Pick Inn, to celebrate his 85th birthday and there was no shortage of tributes from Jesse’s colleagues, neighbors and friends.  Nine of Nashville’s finest, Homer Bradley (the unofficial “Mayor of Cairo”), WSM announcer Eddie Stubbs, fiddle-player Jim Buchanan, Opry stars Jeannie Seely and Jan Howard, Carl Jackson, banjo-player Mike Scott, Larry Stephenson and Sam Bush, roasted McReynolds who was praised for his sense of humor, his mentorship of other artists, his contributions to bluegrass music and, most of all, his sincere and kind personality.  “He was just what I wanted him to be,” said Stubbs of his first meeting with Jesse, “we learned so much just by observing these people…they set the bar really high.”  Jeannie Seely echoed that sentiment telling the party, “he always kicks things up just a little notch.”

Orchestrated by Master of Ceremonies, radio host Harv Mason, the nine roasters proclaimed their difficulty in finding anything negative, however silly, to joke about with Jesse.  “There’s simply nothing bad you can say about that man right there,” Jackson insisted, a fact that was seconded by the others.  They told stories of the road, of riding on the tour bus throughout the years, of how the brother-duo Jim & Jesse had influenced their careers and of Jesse’s unique style.  “He’s his own person,” remarked Sam Bush and Larry Stephenson called him, “a class act.”  A fitting tribute to a man who’s spent over six decades entertaining the world with his cross-picking mandolin playing and quality bluegrass music.

It wouldn’t be a birthday party without a little music so Jesse took to the stage joined by members of the Virginia Boys band, his grandson Garrett McReynolds and his friends the Crowe Brothers, Del McCoury and Sam Bush.  Together, they treated the crowd to bluegrass and country favorites providing a perfect ending to the celebration.  “They would come out dressed like a million dollars and put on a great show,” Stephenson said of watching Jim and Jesse perform throughout the years.  At the celebration of his 85th birthday, Jesse McReynolds proved, once again, that the show does, indeed, continue on.  “He’s not content to rest on his laurels,” Eddie Stubbs observed.  Jesse agreed, “I may be 85 but I still have a lot of things I want to do.”

JESSE McREYNOLDS became a member of the Grand Ole Opry in 1964.  Alongside his brother Jim, he’s recorded more than fifty albums featuring his innovative cross-picking and split-string style of mandolin playing.  Jesse is a recipient of the National Endowment for the Arts’ National Heritage Music Fellowship Award and a member of the International Bluegrass Music Association’s “Hall of Honor”.  He was nominated for a Grammy as part of the celebrated duo Jim and Jesse in 1992 for the album “Music Among Friends” and Jesse received four additional nominations for his work with other artists. Following Jim’s death in 2002, Jesse carried on the McReynolds tradition touring with his band, the Virginia Boys, playing festivals and concerts across the country as well as making regular appearances on the Grand Ole Opry.  His current release, Jim & Jesse McReynolds & the Virginia Boys – Radio Shows, a collection of 24 fan favorites recorded in 1962, is available via Rural Rhythm Records.

WAYMORE'S OUTLAWS TEAMS WITH SHOOTER JENNINGS FOR U.S. TOUR

WAYMORE'S OUTLAWS TEAMS WITH
SHOOTER JENNINGS FOR U.S. TOUR
(Nashville, Tennessee) - Several years ago, former long-time members of Waylon Jennings' recording and touring band formed Waymore's Outlaws as a tribute to the late Country Music Hall of Famer and enlisted singer/songwriter Tommy Townsend to handle lead singer duties. In January of this year, Waymore's Outlaws teamed up with Shooter Jennings, son of their former boss, for a historic tour. The initial series of dates were so well received, the group continues to add dates across the U.S.

Waymore's Outlaws - Fred Newell, Richie Albright, Tommy Townsend, Jerry Bridges
"We've obviously known Shooter since he was born," said Jerry "Jigger" Bridges, who played bass with Waylon for more than two decades. "When he brought up the idea of touring together, we were all in."

Though Shooter carried on his father's outlaw tradition - both in lifestyle and the genre-defying music he has recorded and released - he had never before performed with Waymore's Outlaws. The band opens each show with Townsend performing several Waylon songs and cuts from their Same Ol' Outlaws cd and upcoming live album, Live at Goose On The Lake. When Shooter takes the stage, the band backs him as he performs additional songs from his father's deep catalog of hits. An acoustic set of his own material follows, before the band again joins him on stage for a rousing finale.

"Shooter's an amazing artist in his own right, and it's fun to back him on his music and also hear him sing songs we've been playing since he was just a twinkle in Waylon and Jessi's eyes," added Richie Albright, Waylon's original drummer and longtime friend.

Townsend was fortunate enough to be mentored by Waylon, who was a pivotal force in Tommy's life. The two collaborated several times, with Waylon playing and singing harmony on tracks and even co-producing a full album on Tommy with Bridges.

Rounding out the band is legendary guitarist and steel player Fred Newell who first recorded with Waylon on the Moonrunners movie soundtrack in the mid 70's and later toured with him when the late Ralph Mooney retired.

The band is currently performing in Norway and will be back in the States for several August dates with Shooter.

Danielle Bradbery, Mickey Guyton, Cam, Sara Haze, Brooke Eden, and More to Appear as Celebrity Stylists

Danielle Bradbery, Mickey Guyton, Cam, Sara Haze, Brooke Eden, and More to Appear as Celebrity Stylists
(NASHVILLE, TN) July 17, 2014 -- Allyson Ahlstrom, 19, of Santa Rosa California hits Nashville, TN with her mobile boutique and non-profit organization, Threads for Teens® on Monday, July 21st. Allyson is on a summer tour of fourteen cities across the United States. “Threads for Teens® on Tour” will outfit some 1,000 underprivileged girls, each in a brand-new outfit, from a pink-clad semi truck set up as a chic mobile boutique. The mobile boutique will be open from 10 AM-1 PM at Hotel Indigo.

Winner from Season 4 of The Voice and Big Machine recording artist, Danielle Bradbery will be assisting in outfitting the girls along with Capitol Nashville recording artist Mickey Guyton, WSIX find artist Cam, and rising singer-songwriters Sara Haze and Brooke Eden.

At each stop deserving girls will receive brand-new clothing. In addition to serving girls, the Threads for Teens® mobile boutique invites community members to visit to learn more about the organization and how girl empowerment is important to teenage girls in our culture.

In 2010, at the age of 14 Allyson decided that she would try to make a difference by making new, fashionable clothing available to girls in foster care or other situations of poverty. Her project has inspired more than $100,000 in monetary contributions and over $150,000 in clothing donations that include more than 40 national brands, such as Claire’s, Pastry Shoes, and Wildfox Couture. Furthermore, through a partnership with The Hunt (The Hunt on the app store and www.thehunt.com/threadsforteens) anyone can help to raise up to $15,000 for Threads for Teens by solving hunts on their website, for free!

Allyson has just completed her freshman year at the University of Pennsylvania.  Her full-service clothing boutique in Santa Rosa, CA (90 minutes north of San Francisco) has allowed over 600 girls in need to each pick out two brand-new outfits for free over the past four years and the Threads for Teens Summer Tour 2013 gave clothing to 1000 additional girls. Her Threads for Teens® nonprofit also has also provided 130 girls with backpacks filled with school supplies, and has given out over 100 prom dresses.

In May 2013 at a ceremony in Washington, D.C., actor Kevin Spacey and Olympic gold medalist Allyson Felix lauded Allyson Ahlstrom as one of the 10 top teen volunteers in America. She has also been honored with a 2012 HALO award from Nickelodeon and a 2011 Jefferson Award for Public Service. “I want to make Threads for Teens® available to as many girls as possible.  That’s one of the reasons for the road trip,” says Allyson.  “More than that, I’m hoping to inspire others to volunteer and contribute in their own way. Anyone can make a difference!”

The tour will kick off July 14th in Los Angeles, CA and will conclude on July 29th in Boston, MA.
