RACHEL BURGE & BLUE DAWNING HEAT UP THE SUMMER

RACHEL BURGE & BLUE DAWNING HEAT UP THE SUMMER
WITH RELEASE OF DEBUT ALBUM ON MOUNTAIN FEVER
TODAY

Listen to "My Cold Heart"

(Franklin, TN) -  West Virginia's Rachel Burge & Blue Dawning showcase their love of tight, well-honed harmonies and solid musicianship on today's self-titled debut release on Mountain Fever Records.
Comprised of five musicians with a combined professional bluegrass history of over 70 years experience, Rachel Burge & Blue Dawning bring a contemporary style of bluegrass to the forefront and fans are responding.
Rachel is ready for fans to hear it.  "I am very excited about the release of our debut album and hope that listeners will take us in with open arms. We have been blessed with the opportunity to be a part of the Mountain Fever Records family and thank Mark Hodges for that opportunity. Blue Dawning and I are excited about what lies ahead for us and we hope that when our music is heard, the listener enjoys it as much as we have enjoyed creating it!"

Hodges knew how unique Burge was when he first heard her sing.  "There are not many women in the business that can sing driving bluegrass but Rachel pulls it off effortlessly," says Mountain Fever owner Mark Hodges.
Burge blends the lines of traditional and congemporary bluegrass as band leader and mandolin player, styling her playing after some of the greatest mandolin players on the circuit today.  People are paying attention including radio listeners and DJs.
"I was fortunate to hear and meet many first generation bluegrass musicians. Even today, when I hear really good bluegrass music, it makes me cry. Rachel's CD made me cry," says Bob Mitchell, DJ with WKWC (FM), WFPK (FM/Internet), WMAK(AM/Internet), "The Bluegrass Mix" (Internet), "The Bluegrass Jamboree" (Internet) and “Crescent Hill Radio” (AM/Internet)
"I use a personal 5 point rating scale for each track to determine which songs will receive airplay. Every song on Burge's release is a 5. I especially enjoyed "Kentucky Mandolin" since that's the theme song for my weekly program. Rachel and her new band, Blue Dawning, provide first rate entertainment and I highly recommend this release," Mitchell adds.
A graduate of Glenville State College, she holds a degree in Music Education as well as a certificate in Bluegrass Music.   She was able to participate in one of the only Bluegrass music certificate programs in the nation.  As a result, she has performed with the likes of Jesse McReynolds, Mac Wiseman, Ronnie Reno, The Dillards and many others.
Blue Dawning musicians Lance Gainer on guitar and vocals, Radford Vance (formerly with Northwest Territory) on five-string banjo, Michele Birkby-Vance (formerly with Northwest Territory) on fiddle, and Rick Westerman (Buck and Company, Rarely Herd, The Hart Brothers) on bass and tenor vocals,  all form an experienced group able to interpret Burge's musical vision.

CAROLINA STORY Grand Ole Opry Debut June 28th

CAROLINA STORY announces CHAPTER TWO, AVAILABLE now
Grand Ole Opry Debut June 28th
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (June 24, 2014)- Nashville based singer-songwriters Ben and Emily Roberts, better known as the duo Carolina Story, are pleased to announce the release of Chapter Two today. The name Carolina Story was inspired by a promise they made to each other in North Carolina that they would commit themselves as a couple to making music together, blending a matrimonial partnership with their creative partnership, and living that journey through music made together for others and performed for them on the road. Chapter Two continues their narrative after last year’s Chapter One (#6 iTunes singer/songwriter chart; Top 10 Americana radio chart) release. This second original 6-song EP marks not only a cycle of growth in the duo’s writing and performing but also some changes in the storyline of their “Carolina Story” as husband and wife.
Carolina Story recently announced to their fans they are starting a new chapter in their own lives with the addition of a new “band member.” Ben and Emily are expecting their first child this fall and they will be sharing their wondrous journey to parenthood while balancing a troubadour life with their followers. Daily Parent (DailyParent.com) will continue publishing an ongoing web series titled "Folktales & Lullabies" into 2015, covering varying topics including pregnancy and parenting issues, the birth and early moments in the new family’s life. The premiere, which aired on June 17th, is available now at Daily Parent.
Ben Roberts says, "We're so excited for people to hear these songs on Chapter Two. The timing of new music releasing that has been our baby for so long coupled with the inexhaustible thrill of our first child being born in the same year has us feeling so thankful and looking forward to turning the page into a new season as a band and our lives as new parents."
Carolina Story has even more good news to celebrate. All “three” of them will step into the inner circle of the Opry stage for their debut performance at the Grand Ole Opry on June 28th. Ben and Emily will wear Manuel Couture designed clothes for the special night. Manuel has been described as the “Rhinestone Rembrandt,” his iconic style has helped mold the image of country and rock legends like Elvis, Bob Dylan, Hank Williams and Johnny Cash. Manuel was so taken with the duo and how they reminded him of a young Emmylou Harris and Gram Parsons that he invited them to play his 81st birthday party and his wedding reception earlier this spring.
Roberts reflects on his upcoming Opry appearance by stating, "Three years ago or so Emily and I went on a tour of the Grand Ole Opry with her mother and sister who were visiting Nashville. It was a very memorable experience getting to go backstage and see all the dressing rooms. They even let us go out on the stage and the first thing that caught my eye was the circle. Emily's mom asked us to step into it to take a picture of us standing where some of our biggest influences once stood and sang. I politely declined, citing my respect for that hallowed circle and replied by saying that the only way I'd ever step foot into that spot is if I was asked to. It's pretty surreal to have that opportunity before us now. When we step out there and into that sacred circle, it will be hard to describe and keep our composure in the magnitude and honor of that moment."
These 21st century troubadours tell stories full of realism with melody and harmony that have an effortless way of resonating with all who listen. Songs like “Crash & Burn” and “I Won’t Let You Down” seamlessly cross the boundaries between Americana and country music and reflect a more mainstream release than most acoustic efforts. “When I Was Just A Boy” will be the subject of music video captured over the course of Emily’s pregnancy and the music video will debut as part of the series for DailyParent.com.
Chapter Two, which is currently in the Top 5 most added on the Americana radio chart was produced by GRAMMY award-winning producer Blake Chancey (Dixie Chicks, Waylon Jennings, Mary Chapin Carpenter) and recorded at Disgraceland, surrounded by Nashville-based folk and country all-stars Chad Cromwell (Neil Young, Mark Knopfler) on drums, bass player Michael Rhodes (Steve Winwood, Rodney Crowell), award-winning artist/songwriter Darrell Scott on mandolin/acoustic guitar/bouzouki, Billy Panda on guitar (Garth Brooks, Kim Carnes) and steel player Dan Dugmore (Linda Ronstadt, James Taylor).
In the past five years, Carolina Story has played in excess of 650 shows across 43 states. The pair will continue touring this summer to support the release of Chapter Two, stops of note include their Grand Ole Opry debut June 28th and their EP release at Douglas Corner Cafe June 29th in Nashville, followed by a performance at City Winery in Chicago on July 9th.

CB Cattlemen am Laarer See in Niederkrüchten

Am letzten Samstag war es soweit, das erste Konzert von CB Cattlemen seit der
Reunion nach über 15 Jahren Pause. Am Laarer See in Niederkrüchten.

Sarah Darling Advances to the Next Level on Rising Star

SARAH DARLING WINS AMERICA'S HEARTS
ON RISING STAR

Darling Advances to the Next Level on Rising Star
Reaching 89% Positive Votes

LOS ANGELES, CA (June 23, 2014) – Sarah Darling is becoming "America's Darling" taking 89% positive votes on ABC’s new competition series, Rising Star, including the three experts, Ludacris, Kesha and Brad Paisley. Rising Star premiered last night where artists performed with the chance of raising the wall and moving to the next round of the competition. Shining through the votes, Darling was one of six who raised the wall.

"What a rush," states Darling after her performance. "It's truly an amazing opportunity and I'm so grateful for all the support. Now I can't wait to show the experts and America what I can do!"

Darling represented Country music as the only country-contestant performing Kacey Musgrave’s hit, "Merry Go Round."  Paisley had the first vote, thrusting his arm in the air with excitement soon to be followed by Kesha and then Ludacris. After the wall raised, the experts raved on their excitement to see Darling continue as she held back tears of joy.

Next week, Darling will be able to relax as new contestants take the stage.

About Sarah Darling:
Sarah Darling is a small-town girl from Mitchellville, Iowa, raised up on Country and Gospel music. Her grandfather introduced her to the iconic sounds of legendary artists such as Patsy Cline and Johnny Cash. As her girl-next-door’s sound rings true, Darling’s musicality expanded from traditional with a flare of new country. Her influences ranged from Shania Twain, Alison Krauss to Fleetwood Mac, Carrie Underwood, Sheryl Crow and Tom Petty to develop Darlings unique style. When Sarah Darling is not singing or writing this fashionista enjoys cooking sweets, such as her popular macarons, and spending time with family and friends.

THE OLD COUNTRY CHURCH is the fourth album release by MIKE SCOTT on Rural Rhythm and his second gospel title for Rural Rhythm Christian following the 2011 release of TAKE ME LORD AND USE ME

“I was born and raised in the Appalachian Mountains of East Tennessee.   I first heard many of these good old Gospel songs in “The Old Country Church” where I grew up.  Sunday afternoons with dinner on the ground is a wonderful memory of fun, friends, food and fellowship.  This was just a way of life at our house too.  Following the railroad tracks down Piney Flats Road in Watauga, TN is our family’s old two-story farmhouse where I grew up with a big front porch.  Friends and family didn’t have to call before coming over.  If they saw us out on the porch, they just stopped by, often bringing a basket of homegrown vegetables or some homemade jellies and jams.  Before I knew it, Dad had an audience for me and would say, “Mike, get that banjo out.”  I played many of these “Old Country Church” songs since most folks were familiar with them.   To this day, I still love to have these gatherings and fellowship in the same way……the same songs! “- Mike Scott

THE OLD COUNTRY CHURCH contains 13 classic gospel songs performed by many of today’s award winning Bluegrass artists including Adam Steffey, Rob Ickes, Bryan Sutton, Aubrey Haynie, Tim Stafford, and Ben IsaacsMike Scott assembled an All-Star group of string musicians to pay tribute to many popular gospel songs through the years, which we now know as traditional standards

TRACKS:
01   WILL THE CIRCLE BE UNBROKEN
