Nashville, TN (August 27, 2013)  The Marksmen Quartet of Murrayville, Ga. received their third Dove Award nomination in the upcoming 44th Annual Awards.
“This Is My Crowd,”their latest Rural Rhythm Christian album, is one of five nominees in the Bluegrass Album of the Year category sharing the field with Steven Curtis Chapman, The Little Roy & Lizzy Show, Doyle Lawson & Quicksilver and Dailey & Vincent.
Father and son Earle and Mark Wheeler heard the news while preparing for a tour in the western U.S.  Earle’s distinctive vocal styling has set the group a part from other quartets since it’s founding in 1967.
Mark, who sings lead and baritone and plays guitar, produced the 14-song album and Steve Gulley mastered it.
“It encourages us to know others like this album,” he said. “We spent a lot of time trying to put out a good one. Knowing that people like what we do is great, but our number one goal is to spread the gospel...”.
Mark said that “This Is My Crowd” is a diverse collection of songs designed to reach as many people with the gospel message through a mix of Bluegrass gospel, country inspirational, old-time Southern gospel, a touch of convention singing and even some blues.
“ ‘This Is My Crowd’ contains some of the best songs we have ever recorded,” he said.
Other members of the group include second-generation member Darrin Chambers, who sings bass and plays Dobro; Davey Waller, who plays mandolin and sings tenor; and Mark Autry who plays bass and sings various parts.
The CD includes special guest musicians Les Butler, Bryan McDowelland Jon Edmisten.
Among the songs there are nine originals including those penned by Mark Wheeler and Davey Waller. The album includes:  “This Is My Crowd”, “Don’t Take Your Life (Take Mine)”, “Matthew 24”, “Rock of Ages”, “John Was a Baptist”, “I Was There When It Happened”, “Stack Them Stones”, “Last Saturday Night”, “The Original Superman”, “The Upper Room”, “Saints and Pilgrims Way”, “The Veil”, “The Mule Song” and “Reuben”.
The Dove Awards are Oct. 15 at 7:30 p.m. at Lipscomb University’s Allen Arena in Nashville. The show will be broadcast at 8 p.m. Oct. 21 on the Up! Television Network.
The Marksmen Quartet is an inductee of the Lone Star State Country Music Association Gospel Music Hall of Fame and the Atlanta Country Music Hall of Fame.

Third single from Keepin’ It Reel album goes for radio adds following Labor Day
Nashville, Tenn. (August 27, 2013) … The Coleman Brothers are gearing up for the release of their new music video for “Back on the Farm,” making its official debut on October 21, 2013. The video was filmed in the Colemans’ home state of Texas, and is a reflection of family, friends and life on the road.
Directed by Michael Walters of HD Texas Video Productions, “Back on the Farm” will include several special people in the lives of brothers Greg and Denny Coleman, including their parents, as well as good friend and Texas legend Larry Butler. The single is the third release from The Coleman Brothers’ second studio album, Keepin’ It Reel.
“All the footage in this video was done here at home on our friends’ properties, and it’s just the real deal,” notes Greg Coleman. “There was no faking involved with the making of this video. We took it right back to our roots … keepin’ it real,” he adds with laughter.
Just two weeks after being leaked to country radio, “Back on the Farm” has already charted on Music Row, this week coming in at No. 68. The song will officially impact radio following Labor Day.

Previous singles from Keepin’ It Reel include “Ghost Town” and “Lonely in the Lonestar State,” which respectively hit No. 23 and No. 27 on the Music Row chart. The tunes were the highest charting independent songs on the elite chart during that time.
The Coleman Brothers is comprised of brothers Denny and Greg Coleman, as well as Don Hutchko. The band formed in 2009 and have released two studio albums. For more information on the Coleman Brothers, visit their official website at www.thecolemanbrothers.com.

Breelan Angel Pours Shot of 100

Breelan Angel Pours Shot of 100 Proof Country With "Halfway To Wasted"
New Single Available Today on iTunes from MisBHavin' Records, indieExtreme

Nashville, TN (August 27, 2013) - Breelan Angel and MisBhavin' Records are pleased to announce the release of the artist's sophomore single, "Halfway To Wasted."* A genuine "drink it all away" heartbreak song that is rooted in country's traditional style, the single was penned by Breelan and Clay Mills (writer of the #1 hits "Beautiful Mess" by Diamond Rio and Darius Rucker's "Don't Think I Don't Think About It") and produced by Emmy award winning Ray Barnette (Billy Dean). Available today on iTunes through indieExtreme and InGrooves Fontana, "Halfway To Wasted" is impacting radio now.

Radio programmers have spoken up early about Breelan's powerful second single:
"Love this song!  'Halfway To Wasted' will be the one that takes Breelan to a whole new level!" Kelly Green | 100.9 The Farm/WEIO | Huntingdon, TN

"Breelan's new single, 'Halfway To Wasted' is stronger than anything I have heard from her so far... and her previous work has been great!"
Richard Ferguson | KXOX | Sweetwater, TX

"After a solid debut single, Breelan takes it up another notch with 'Halfway To Wasted.' Well sung and produced, I'm looking forward to giving it some spins."
Mike Thomas | KWRE/KFAV | Warrenton, MO

"'Halfway to Wasted' took us by surprise.  It's professional, it's polished and is the perfect mix of music and vocals. The melody flows so well and connects perfectly with the lyrics. We look forward to playing this one!"
Kim Imber | Badlands Radio | Friendswood, TX

A native Texan, Breelan is expanding her focus to pursue music full-time nationally and is moving forward as the success of her fiery debut single, "It's My Turn," introduced country listeners to her independent and free spirited "steel magnolia" persona. Keeping true to her country roots, this tune is a strong shot of truth for anyone who has ever tried to get over a relationship that has gone on way too long.

"More often than not, girls and guys go out drinking to forget about the loneliness of a bad heartache. The song came from such a night with my friends and it's all about letting go and drowning the hurt and pain just one time before really moving on," Breelan stated. "I am beyond excited for everyone to hear 'Halfway to Wasted' as it is one of my favorites out of the all the songs I have ever written."

Ray Barnette, who is working with some of the most noted up and comers in Nashville's music scene right now, saw Breelan's star potential as a songwriter and artist as they recorded "Halfway To Wasted" and other songs from her forthcoming debut album, IT'S MY TURN.

"Without a doubt, Breelan Angel is a unique talent and a force to be reckoned with," he stated. "Keep an eye out for this one. I see great things ahead!"

Mark Maynard of Momentum Music Nashville is spearheading the radio campaign for "Halfway To Wasted" having successfully launched Breelan's career with the debut single "It's My Turn" (#65 on MusicRow Country Breakout Chart). Chris Taylor, Jack PrideJennifer Blair, Jerry Duncan and Roger Corkill are on board promoting the single to stations across the country.

Breelan showed off a God-given natural talent at the early age of three when she began ballet, tap and jazz. As she grew older, she took piano lessons and performed in choirs and theater productions crafting and developing her vocal talent, demeanor, and stage presence along the way. Working with renowned vocal coach Tom McKinney, Breelan began the process of recording an EP and making trips to Nashville to hone her songwriting skills.

Breelan is playing regularly and her tour schedule has included shows at such venues in Texas as Houston's House of Blues, Firehouse Saloon and Mucky Duck, Stafford Centre (Stafford), Rowdy Buck's (Crosby), Freiheit Country Store (New Braunfels), The Chute (Baytown), and out of state venues Wormy Dog in Oklahoma City and The National Underground in Nashville.

Having played events such as Crosby Fair & Rodeo (twice), Lone Star Rally, Galveston County Fair, Whiskey & Wine and "Girls With Guitars" for KILT, and Farmer's Branch Liberty Fest, Breelan is quickly becoming a regular on the tour circuit. As a performer she has had the privilege of supporting Loretta Lynn, Joe Nichols, Don Williams, Travis Tritt, Doug Stone, Kevin Fowler, Randy Rogers, Aaron Watson, Johnny Cooper, Casey Donahew and Cody Johnson. Upcoming shows with newcomer Curtis Grimes (who was coached by Cee Lo Green on season one of "The Voice") and, fellow Texan, Chris Cagle are on the calendar.

Kenny Chesney 109,207 Fans Rocked in Boston for 1.25 Million Fans Played To

Kenny Chesney Closes Out No Shoes Nation 2013--

109,207 Fans Rocked in Boston for 1.25 Million Fans Played To
With an a cappella “Whatever makes you feel like a rock star” and one crashing downbeat, Kenny Chesney’s second night at Gillette Stadium and final No Shoes Nation show took off like a bobsled, slamming through four songs including the gold certified “Pirate Flag” before he took a breath. Both nights, the crowd of 109,207 was on its feet, singing along with the 8-time Entertainer of the Year’s two hour-plus set.
“There’s energy, and then there’s energy,” an exhausted Chesney said, coming offstage the second night. “The fans in Boston have always been very, very special to us. These were our 10th and 11th shows at Gillette; every year, it just gets more intense.”
To celebrate the milestone, the Kraft family had a Super Bowl-style banner hung permanently near an end zone to commemorate the naming of the No Shoes Nation in 2012. The blue and white vertical flag rippled in the wind as Chesney and his band blazed through a 27 song set that included guest appearances from tourmates Kasey Musgraves on “Come Over,” the Eli Young Band on “Take It Easy” and Eric Church for the current single “When I See The Bar,” which the Luttrell, Tennessean told the crowd, “There’s a radio version but we’re going to do the album version” and dedicated the final verse to his many friends who shared his coming of age in the Virgin Islands.
“It’s an incredible life,” Chesney says. “Looking over and seeing all those faces, it was like ‘When I See This Bar’ was happening right there on stage right... and having Eric sing it with me, a guy who knows what it means to punch it out in a little dive bar with nobody there, well, that’s everything that song is! And everybody’s been there.”
Being the end of tour, there were several “guests” of unlikely origin. NoShoesRadio.com’s Mark Tamburino free-rapped “Blister in the Sun,” while production steward Robin Majors blew some tasty harp on the set closing “She Thinks My Tractor’s Sexy.” Beyond a spot-on cover of “The Fireman,” Chesney evoked early U2 overtones on the outro of “Come Over” and the Dave Matthews Band on his reggae-tinged “Everybody Wants To Go To Heaven.”
But it was the hushed “Happy On the Hey Now,” considered to be the emotional center of Life On A Rock, Chesney’s 7th #1 Billboard Top 200 Albums debut, that brought almost 55,000 fans to a hush. Never played in concert, it was a starkly acoustic debut for the song written about living in the moment, the sudden loss of a dear friend and the preciousness of what is shared with friends.
“I was a little nervous about doing a song so quiet and so personal in a venue that big,” Chesney said. “But so many of the people who were part of that song were there... I knew those fans were just as much a part of my life, and I wasn’t going to see them again until 2015... and I wanted something to bind us all together. It was a risk, and when I saw all the lighters and cell phones with flames aloft, I knew it was the right decision.”
