SARAH DARLING "STAND FOR MUSIC" AWARD

NASHVILLE RECORDING ARTIST SARAH DARLING TO RECEIVE NAfME'S "STAND FOR MUSIC" AWARD
Rising Singer-Songwriter Recognized for her Ongoing Support of Music Education
NASHVILLE, Tenn. - (Wednesday, June 19, 2013) - The National Association for Music Education (NAfME) has named country music artist Sarah Darling a recipient of its "Stand for Music" Award, in recognition of her dedication to and support of music education.
The award will be presented to Darling on Saturday, June 29, 2013 in Washington, D.C. by NAfME President and Board Chair Nancy Ditmer, as part of the association's annual National Leadership event.
NAfME's executive director Michael A. Butera says, " Sarah epitomizes the type of artist who truly understands the importance of music education. Her formal music training started at a young age while growing up in Mitchellville, Iowa, and her dedication to the craft of songwriting in particular has brought her significant recognition in the country music industry and beyond. NAfME is pleased to present Sarah with our 'Stand for Music' award for 2013. Our members - America's music teachers - greatly appreciate her assistance in raising awareness among our elected leaders about how music education orchestrates success, both in school and beyond."
While in the nation's capital to receive the award,  Darling will meet with legislative representatives and staff members from Tennessee and her home state of Iowa to discuss the importance of preserving music education in public schools nationwide.  She will also perform later for NAfME state affiliate leaders at an acoustic concert.
Since debuting at the historic Grand Ole Opry® in 2011 where she was introduced by country legend, Vince Gill, Darling has been honored with the invitation to perform there over 35 times. Also featured on  CONAN , FOX & Friends, ABC's The Bachelor, CNN and many more, Darling is currently celebrating the release of her summertime single, "Little Umbrellas," that's now available for download on iTunes. She  will perform several dates this summer as both a headlining act and opener for country music superstar, Alan Jackson.

*Hallmark Channel’s Home & Family and TNN’s Crook and Chase*

Make sure to tune your TV to The Nashville Network (TNN) this weekend at 5 PM CST to catch 15-year old country star Lizzie Sider on the Crook and Chase Show. Lizzie’s episode will premiere Saturday and re-air on Sunday evening.  Footage will include an interview, clips from CMA Fest, and the music video for her latest hit single, I Love You That Much.

Lizzie Sider is a force! A killer combination of singer/songwriter/entertainer who exudes pure charisma and joy with every note; and a level-headed maturity that is relatable to fans of any age.” says Lorianne Cook.

Also, catch Lizzie on The Hallmark Channel’s Home & Family hosted by Mark Steines and Cristina Ferrare.  The segment with the breakthrough sensation will air Thursday, June 20th at 9 AM CST.

Lizzie is coming off a packed CMA Fest 2013 weekend. When she was not busy meeting fans and signing autographs at her booth in Fan Fair X at the new Music City Center, Lizzie performed to packed crowds at the Wildhorse Saloon and the Bluebird Café.

Country Music Weekly writer Tammy Ragusa, said Lizzie “wowed the crowd” with her performance at the Wildhorse Saloon and that “despite her young age, Lizzie already exhibits the poise of a seasoned entertainer.”

Lizzie’s single, I Love You That Much provides a preview of Lizzie’s forthcoming debut album produced by Joe Vulpis (Lady Gaga) and mastered by Tom Coyne (Red-Taylor Swift).

The music video for I Love You That Much debuted on The Country Network (TCN) back in April. The video was shot by director Steven Goldman of The Collective Films, USA LLC in Los Angeles, CA.

Digital correspondent and columnist Jessica Northey recently tweeted, “People are calling her the next Taylor Swift. Pure talent!”

As a humanitarian and spokesperson for anti-bullying efforts, Lizzie performed at the Texas State Capitol in Austin back on June 1st as part of the Zero Tolerance Project. This CMA Close Up “Who New to Watch in 2013” artist, recently became a leader and spokesperson for the Global Women’s Empowerment Network (GWEN www.gwennetwork.org), sharing her personal story of encouragement with their community.  Lizzie knows firsthand the impact of heckling on school grounds, but, with the support of her family, channeled that frustration into writing what became her Top 40 debut single, Butterfly. Butterfly was penned by Lizzie and 2x #1 singer/songwriter Jamie O’Neal (also served as producer on the single), Jimmy Murphy and Lisa Drew (There Is No Arizona).

KIP MOORE STRIKES RIAA GOLD WITH
CERTIFICATION OF “HEY PRETTY GIRL”
AS IT CLIMBS THE TOP 10

Moore to Perform This Friday on Fox & Friends
Summer Concert Series

Nashville, TN – June 19, 2013 – MCA Recording artist Kip Moore’s current Top 10 single “Hey Pretty Girl” and chart-topping “Beer Money” have officially been certified GOLD by the RIAA, for sales over 500,000 downloads each. The GOLD tracks can both be found on Moore’s UP ALL NIGHT, the best selling debut album of any country artist released last year.

“’Pretty Girl’ and ‘Beer Money’ have been fan favorites on the road since we started playing them,” said Moore. “Having the fans also want to have the music after the show – to connect and respond to our music that way, too - just fuels our fire even more.”

Friday morning, fans can tune-in to catch Moore perform his hit songs on Fox & Friends’ All American Summer Concert Series beginning at 6:00A ET on FOX News (check local listings).

Moore’s current Top 10 hit “Hey Pretty Girl” follows two consecutive No. one hits off his debut album UP ALL NIGHT.  His first career No. one single, “Somethin’ ‘Bout A Truck,” held the top spot on both charts for two weeks making him the first solo artist in four years to have a debut album’s first single go No. one for multiple weeks.  He has already sold out dozens of headlining shows this year, sometimes in just minutes. Moore continues to headline his own dates and is also currently opening for superstar Toby Keith through the summer.
