Kenny Chesney Hits Platinum Tickets

Kenny Chesney Hits Platinum Tickets Early June, He’s Already at 1,089,000 Tickets & Still Selling

Maybe it’s the 19 stadiums… Or the fact that it started in March… But when the tour accountant for the 2013 No Shoes Nation Tour did his tally last weekend, he couldn’t believe his eyes. Here, in the second weekend of June, Kenny Chesney had already sold over a million tickets! The man The Wall Street Journal has hailed as “The King of the Road” has sold 1,089,000 tickets – and is still selling!
“I don’t think about stuff like that,” Chesney says. “All I’m trying to do is make sure that for that one night when people come out to party with us, they forget what’s wrong, they have all the good time they can handle and they go home feeling like they had the best night of their summer. If I can do that with music, then I feel like I’ve done what I set out to do… cause for me, that’s what music is for!”
Having sold in excess of a million tickets on each of his past ten tours, Chesney has become the mark of summer for people coming of age over the past decade. With The Philadelphia Inquirer raving about last weekend’s sold-out show for the fourth straight time, “Saturday night’s stop of Chesney’s No Shoes Nation tour at Lincoln Financial Field was packed to the rafters with fans who’d tailgated like it was a Sunday at an Eagles game…It’s this common touch with common folk that keeps him uncommonly beloved.
As “Pirate Flag,” the nod to rebellion right where you lead anthem, has been certified gold for over a half million downloads and the deeply soul-searching Life On A Rock marks Chesney’s seventh all-genre #1 Billboard Top 200 Albums debut, the songwriter from Luttrell, Tennessee understands walking the line between firing people up and offering them a place where they can take stock of their life, their love and the moments that make them who they are. More than any one or three hit singles, he embraces the way people live.
“I’m glad people hear their lives in this music,” he says of his enduring success. “I am always humbled when people tell me they plan their summer around coming to the show, because I remember being that kind of fan. I try to be the artist I would’ve wanted my favorite singers to be – and make sure that we give people the best show we can every time we get up there. To me, that’s the most important thing… and the fans can tell.
“Maybe that’s why we’ve hit that million ticket mark so early this year.”

Brett Eldredge, Steve Wariner, and Host Bob DiPiero Share the Stories Behind Their Hits
NASHVILLE –The CMA Songwriters Series returns to the acclaimed Joe's Pub in New York City for a special two-night event on Tuesday, July 23 and Wednesday, July 24. Celebrating nine remarkable years, the CMA Songwriters Series features special guests Brett Eldredge, Steve Wariner, and songwriter Bob DiPiero, who will also serve as the evening’s host. Tickets go on sale today at 2:00 PM/ET and show times for both nights will be 6:30 PM and 9:00 PM/ET.
Country singer and songwriter Wariner was discovered by Dottie West at age 17 while playing in a club in Indianapolis. She hired him on the spot as her bass player, and he toured with her for three years. Wariner went on to play bass in Bob Luman’s band. Through guitar virtuoso Paul Yandell, he met his idol, Chet Atkins, who hired Wariner to play bass in his band. Atkins eventually signed Wariner to his first recording contract at RCA in 1977. Wariner has had over a dozen No.1 hits as an artist including “All Roads Lead To You,” “Where Did I Go Wrong,” and “Small Town Girl.” As a songwriter he has had seven No.1 hits including “Longneck Bottle” recorded by Garth Brooks and “Nothin’ But The Taillights” recorded by Clint Black.
Joining Wariner and DiPiero will be Brett Eldredge (“Watch The World End With You” recorded by Trace Adkins and featuring Colbie Caillat, “I Think I’ve Had Enough” recorded by Gary Allan). With his debut album, Bring You Back, slated to be released Aug. 6 on Atlantic Records, featuring the new Top 15 single “Don’t Ya” (a song he co-wrote), Eldredge is finally getting a chance to share a story of his own. “I always gravitated towards big voices, because as a kid I had this big voice coming out of me,” says Eldredge. “I was hooked on the story that somebody would be telling through their voice.”
CMA Songwriters Series host DiPiero (“Southern Voice” recorded by Tim McGraw, “Blue Clear Sky” recorded by George Strait, and “Lovin’ You Is Fun” recorded by Easton Corbin) will join Wariner and Eldredge, sharing the entertaining stories behind some of his most popular hit songs as well. DiPiero has had over 1,200 songs recorded by other artists, countless hit singles, and an astounding fifteen No. 1 hits.
Tickets for the July 23 and 24 CMA Songwriters Series at Joe’s Pub are $40 and $35 each and are on sale today. For information about Joe’s Pub or to order tickets, visit or call (212) 967-7555 between the hours of 10:00 AM and 9:00 PM/ET. Joe’s Pub is located at 425 Lafayette St. in New York City.

Third Single From Acclaimed TOO MUCH AIN’T ENOUGH Album
“You Smile” At Radio Now!

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (June 12, 2013)—Country music recording artist Clinton Gregory continues his momentum to reclaim his 1990 namesake as an award-winning performer, trademarked stylist and masterful instrumentalist with his commitment to offer country music radio, and its listeners, a brand of music he was born to make.

Gregory announces the release of “You Smile,”** the third track from his 2012 CD project entitled TOO MUCH AIN’T ENOUGH (from Melody Roundup Music). Written by Pebe Sebert and Gerald Smith, the cut highlights a “do what you gotta do to muster through” storyline. With a poignant vocal delivery, Gregory muddles through emotions to overcome pain all the while wearing a smile as his mask--a band-aid--until the hurt fades and the heartache subsides. Gregory pays homage to the true testament that a façade can become reality and hope, accompanied by good spirit (dressed with a smile), can be a powerful healer.

Named as one of the Top 15 Albums of 2012 (, Gregory’s TOO MUCH AIN’T ENOUGH (produced by Gregory and Jamie Creasy) showcases his trademarked, world-class fiddle wizardry, multi-faceted musical talents and stylized vocals as a sturdy traditionalist whose return is welcomed and embraced.
