Autobiographic Dedication
“When The Lights Go Out (Tracie’s Song)”
Comes To Radio May 15

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (April 17, 2013)—One of country music’s finest stylists Mark Chesnutt is set to introduce his latest single entitled “When The Lights Go Out (Tracie’s Song)”** written and recorded as a loving autobiographic dedication to his devoted wife, Tracie, and validating once again Chesnutt’s foothold as a mainstay in the country music format.

Trademarked by Chesnutt’s vocal performance, the single (scheduled for a May 15, 2013 release and available on Play MpE) is simplistic in lyric and delivery, authentic in presentation and quintessential in time. Written alongside long-time friend and producer Jimmy Ritchey and “Chesnutt hitmaker” Roger Springer (“It’s A Little Too Late” ”Thank God For Believers”), the ballad is a true-to-life short story illustrative of Chesnutt’s life as a career performer and road warrior, and his enduring lifetime love, Tracie Chesnutt.

“I guess this song has been in the works for the last twenty some-odd years,” Chesnutt introduced. “I’m blessed to have a woman who understands me and this crazy music business. When we sat down to write, this song was already written; it wrote itself thanks to Tracie.”

In keeping with the string of hits that brought him to the dance in the 90s (“I Just Wanted You To Know”/”Thank God For Believers”/”Almost Goodbye”), Chesnutt is masterful in his natural ability to let his voice shape the words to create a moving musical motion picture reminiscent of traditional country music standards such as Charlie Rich’s “Behind Closed Doors” and Vern Gosdin’s “Is It Raining At Your House.

The first single from Mark’s own independent label, Nada Dinero Records, the vocals were recorded in casual comfort at the home of producer Jimmy Ritchey (who produced Chesnutt’s last three albums SAVIN’ THE HONKY TONK, HEARD IT IN A LOVE SONG and ROLLIN’ WITH THE FLOW). This Chesnutt original has been in the making since Mr. and Mrs. Mark Chesnutt married in 1992. In the chapters immediately following, Chesnutt was recognized with the CMA Horizon Award in 1993 and named Billboard’s Top 10 Most Played Artist of the 90s. Tracie appeared on horseback in Chesnutt’s music video “Almost Goodbye.” Mark and Tracie have three sons (Waylon, Casey and Cameron).

This song is an excerpt of my life story; it’s personal. So, it’s fitting that we’re releasing it in celebration of Tracie’s birthday on May 15. Happy Birthday, Tracie!Chesnutt shared.

Carrying the torch in the footsteps of George Jones and Waylon Jennings, Chesnutt plays nearly 100 dates a year. He has four platinum albums, five gold albums, 14 No. 1 singles and 23 Top 10 singles to his name; his trademarked voice has shaped the music of today’s country music newcomers and the new country music generation.

GYPSY Puts THE ROYS On Fast Track

The Roys Gypsy Runaway Train CD cover

June 4 Release Contains Bluegrass Originals & Duo's Favorite Standards
Nashville, TN (April 17, 2013) - THE ROYS latest full-length release, GYPSY RUNAWAY TRAIN, puts the award- winning sibling duo on the fast track.  Due in stores on June 4, their third outing for Rural Rhythm Records contains six Roys' originals and some of their all-time favorite Bluegrass and Country classics.  Hot vocals, steamin' pickin', unbridled enthusiasm and passion make this 13-track wonder a celebration of the Roots genre.  Says Elaine Roy, "There was a real sense of freedom surrounding this whole project.  The album strips away all pretenses and gives the listener a glimpse of both the highs and lows of life."

Recorded following the death of Lee's beloved father-in-law and during Elaine's painful divorce, the songs indeed address a broad spectrum of emotion.  For Lee, the entire process was cathartic.  "I wrote 'Another Minute' about my Grandpa," he notes.  "But it makes you think about all kinds of loss.  Putting those feelings out there in a song makes it easier to live with them."

Bluegrass wouldn't be Bluegrass without plenty of raw emotion, and Elaine delves deep on the extremely personal "Half Of Me," written about her recent divorce. Heart-wrenching vocals and moving lyrics offer a poignant look at the separation. Lee shines on the Gospel song "He Took Your Place," a tune he's been performing live for most of his professional career.

GYPSY RUNAWAY TRAIN isn't just about pain.  The disc vibrates with positive thoughts and up-tempo energy on "You Can Count On My Love," "Born With A Hammer In My Hand," the Haggard classic "Ramblin' Fever," as well as the title track which celebrates THE ROYS' fans and the road.  The twosome brings exquisite harmonies to bear on a uniquely-arranged rendition of "Blue Moon Of Kentucky" that will surely leave Mr. Bill Monroe smiling.

1.      You Can Count On My Love
2.      Blue Moon Of Kentucky
3.      Another Minute
4.      I Was Born With A Hammer In My Hand
5.      I Wonder Where You Are Tonight
6.      He Took Your Place
7.      I'm Working On It
8.      Enough For Me
9.      Ramblin' Fever
10.    What Gives You The Right
11.    Those Memories
12.    Half Of Me
13.    Gypsy Runaway Train

After bursting onto the Bluegrass scene in 2011 with the Top 10 debut album LONESOME WHISTLE (RRR), THE ROYS followed with their sophomore project NEW DAY DAWNING in 2012.  That landmark EP debuted at #2 on the BILLBOARD Bluegrass Albums Chart, reached #1 on Amazon's Bluegrass Best-Sellers list, and remains on BLUEGRASS UNLIMITED MAGAZINE's Top 15 Albums chart.  Additionally, songs from the EP continue to dominate the weekly and monthly Top 20 BLUEGRASS TODAY charts.

For Sam Passamano II, President of Rural Rhythm Records, GYPSY RUNAWAY TRAIN is right on track.  "It really showcases Lee and Elaine's vocals and their signature sibling harmonies.  The quality, fine selection and diversity of the songs also help make this such an important and powerful album for them.  The fact that THE ROYS used their touring band on the cover tracks also speaks to a commitment to bring their fans a stronger connection between the music on disc and their live shows."

Fans can connect with THE ROYS at, Facebook and Twitter.

Amber Hayes Releases New Single, “Any Day Is A Good Day”

Amber Hayes Releases New Single,
“Any Day Is A Good Day”
(Nashville, Tenn. – Apr. 16, 2013) A-OK Entertainment/GMV Nashville recording artist Amber Hayes has released her new single, “Any Day Is A Good Day" to Country radio.
The single is the first release off her new album, Any Day Is A Good Day, and is produced by Nashville-based producer Paul Compton. The song was co-written by Hayes, Bill DiLuigi and JP Williams.
“I was excited about this song from the moment we wrote it,” said Hayes.  “It has such an encouraging message and people have been very responsive to the song’s optimism and brightness. Its uplifting in all the right ways.”
Robert Oermann (MusicRow Magazine) commented about the track, “Simply lovely. Her sweetly wistful singing voice is perfectly framed by an airy production and pristinely placed harmony vocals. Plus, it has a message to warm your soul. I could definitely get used to listening to this wafting through the radio speakers.”

2013 has already proven to be a busy one for the Oklahoma native.  Billboard’s ‘The 615’ named Hayes as “One To Watch in 2013.” Her song, “Right As Rain,” is featured in the documentary film, “Music City USA” (view trailer here) and she recently opened up for one of her biggest musical influences, Reba McEntire, in Durant, Oklahoma. This past month, she entered into an exclusive booking agreement with Nashville-based talent agency and marketing firm Conway Entertainment Group.
Hayes first broke onto the Country music scene after her starring role as Kathy Twitty in the 2008 Conway Twitty musical, It’s Only Make Believe.  She released her debut EP C’mon in 2010, landing two Top 40 singles (“C’mon,” “Wait”) on the national MusicRow Country Breakout chart.  In 2012, the multi-talented performer starred in the major motion picture, “Cowgirls N’ Angels.”  Three of her songs made it into the film, including her duet with Lonestar’s Richie McDonald, “Always There For Me.”  Hayes’ music was also featured in four episodes of the hit CW television series, “Hart of Dixie.”  In October 2012, she released her sophomore album, Any Day Is A Good Day, which is available at iTunes and Amazon.

Kenny Chesney Joins The Roots

Kenny Chesney Joins The Roots 4/30 “Fallon” Appearance Includes “Spread the Love” with ?uestlove & Co.

As Kenny Chesney begins ramping up for the April 30 release of his highly personal Life On A Rock, he’s lining-out his television appearances. The first show he wanted to lock up was “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon,” because the 4 time Academy of Country Music and 4 time Country Music Association Entertainer of the Year had a vision: beyond performing “Pirate Flag,” he wanted to play “Spread The Love,” the song he co-wrote with the Wailers Band, with Fallon’s musically progressive band The Roots.
“What ?uestlove and his guys do is beyond what most people would even begin to think of,” says the singer/songwriter. “They push all music beyond… and you can feel them getting under a song and really lifting it up. When Fam (Aston “Family Man” Barrett) asked me if I’d like to help finish this song they had, I was, like, ‘Sure…’ and intimidated all at once. They’re the Wailers, you know?”
“I wasn’t sure exactly, but I was watching the news – and it was all so negative. I figured we need to counter that somehow. So we got on the phone and talked it out, figured out what we wanted the song to say! Now that it’s done, I wanna take it to the world… But I wanna do it with people who musically can bring that higher sense of being to the song. Which is everything the Roots do, no matter who they’re working with.”
For Chesney, who just finished headlining the Tortuga Music Festival on South Fort Lauderdale Beach to raise ocean preservation awareness, is ready to start bringing this new music to the fans. With “Pirate Flag” sitting at #7 on the country singles charts and his No Shoes Nation Tour in full swing, Life On A Rock is almost ready to hit the streets.
Beyond the highly melodic “Lindy,” (Get Lindy when you Pre-Order the album here:”) Chesney teased the crowd – including a flotilla of over 60 boats anchored off the Florida coast – with a very stripped-down rendition of “Must Be Something I Missed” on Saturday night. Sharing verses with co-writer Mac McAnally, the Van Morrison-inflected song is just a taste of the diversity Life On A Rock is comprised of.
“I wrote most of these without a guitar,” Chesney says. “Not even thinking anyone would ever hear them. They were written for the sake of the song, not losing the moment and remembering things that should be really important, but get lost in the rush of what we do. ‘Something I Missed’ is absolutely about that, and I loved playing it for people.”
Heading into a two night stand at the Joint attached to Las Vegas’ Hard Rock Hotel & Casino this weekend, the No Shoes Nation will get its most intimate stop on the high impact tour that includes 19 stadiums, as well as several arenas and amphitheaters. Closing out with a two night stand at Foxboro, Massachusetts’ Gillette Stadium, the man who has sold in excess of a million tickets each of his past ten tours is making the most of summer once again.

What made Carrie Zaruba so tough, so able to express her feelings in song? Maybe it comes from always being the last kid when your class had to line up in alphabetical order? Whatever it was, she is rising into the Country Music sky, bright, fast and impossible to ignore.
Her debut album, Woman on a Mission, announces her arrival with crunchy power guitar, sizzling Country fiddle and lyrics that bounce between heartbreak and fist-pumping pride. Released on Go Time Records, produced by Kent Wells, who also co-wrote all six tracks with Zaruba, it showcases the Baltimore native’s ability to blend these disparate elements in a single song — even a single line — and make it completely believable.
Only part of this stems from the chops she cultivated as a jazz and opera vocal student at Philadelphia’s University of the Arts. She was molded more profoundly by her subsequent move to Nashville, the bar gigs she fronted and the writing skills she developed through working with Wells.
On ballads, Zaruba addresses a theme of hiding her sadness while putting on a brave front. When she assures us that she’ll be OK, in “Little Lies,” you feel the pain behind her bravado as well as the resolution that will in fact get her “out the door and on my way.” And all doubt is gone on the up-tempo rockers; the hip “tick, tick … boom” hook on the bridge in “Time Bomb” makes you want to run – straight to the dance floor..
“Van Morrison. Astral Weeks is one of the most important and inspiring records of all time. I was lucky enough to see him perform it live. His musicality and writing abilities are legendary and his music has undoubtedly shaped my life.”
“’Run to the Hills,’ by Iron Maiden.”
“Currently, The Ballad of Bob Dylan, by Daniel Mark Epstein (Dylan is another musical hero of mine).”
“Gnarly. I call everything gnarly.”
“I love riding on trains. They rock me to sleep. And I like writing on a train – the scenery inspires me.”
“In college, I was the lead in the opera Trouble in Tahiti, by Leonard Bernstein, and sang 10 two-hour performances in five days. It was the most challenging and exhilarating time for me. Before that, I never thought I could be a lead in anything, much less opera. It was incredible!”
“French fries! Even when they’re not that good, they’re great!”
“A rosary blessed by Pope John Paul II.”
“I love art and photography. I’m a huge fan of Frida Kahlo and recently discovered Francesca Woodman –  and I am obsessed.”

The Coleman Brothers proving to be competition for the Country Music Majors
Houston Texas 4-15-2013- The Coleman Brothers, a modern country band with traditional roots are made up 2 brothers. Denny and Greg Coleman and located just outside of Houston Texas. Following the footsteps of their idols, the band has been playing music more than 20 years.  Just recently they have started making a major impact in radio.
In the last 3 years the band has released 5 radio singles. All having notable airplay. The last 2 singles (Ghost Town and Lonely In The Lonestar State) have brought a much bigger success than the others. Ghost Town (Released late 2012) reached as high as #23 on Music Row’s airplay charts. It also held #1 for more than 4 weeks straight on New Music Weekly.  Ghost Town topped charts overseas coming in at number 2 on UK’s Hot Disk Charts.
The success of Ghost Town opened doors for this true independent group. The band is led and backed by just its roots level team. They are managed by HGN Entertainment (Jason Mclelland) and a radio promotion team led by Alan Young.  No record label, no Nashville door openers. Following the success to Ghost Town the group released single number 5 to radio while the current single was still hot on the charts. In February 2013 Lonely In The Lonestar State was released to country radio.  It quickly followed the path of its predecessor and debuted in the first week in mid-70s on Music Row. Now in just 10 weeks the single is currently #32 on Music Row.  The Top 30’s, a place where most TRUE independents never see.
As a true independent band this group has made a name for themselves.  Competing in radio alongside of major artists with record labels such as Sony, BMLG etc. During CRS 2013 The Coleman Brothers interviewed for many radio stations, Tv Networks and Non Profits.
