KRYSTAL KEITH'S "DADDY DANCE WITH ME" VIDEO RELEASED

KRYSTAL KEITH'S "DADDY DANCE WITH ME" VIDEO RELEASED
Surprise Wedding Dance Song Was A Gift To Her Father, Toby Keith

(NASHVILLE, Tenn.) Show Dog-Universal recording artist Krystal Keith has released the video for her song "Daddy Dance With Me," the surprise gift she recorded for her father Toby Keith and first played for him at her wedding.

"I wrote it for my father-daughter dance at my own wedding, and we just did the video," she says. "It was an amazing experience. I got to work with director Mike Salomon, who I've known forever because he's done a lot of my father's videos."

Posted to Vevo (http://smarturl.it/DDWMVEVO), the clip intersperses Krystal performing the song with video from an actual wedding reception. "Of course, I was the bride in the song, but it's a theme that applies to all weddings," she says of the tune she co-wrote with Mica Roberts and Sonya Rutledge. "We shot the video at a beautiful church in Los Angeles and I'm really excited for the song to get out there."

"Daddy Dance With Me" is a cut of Keith's self-titled four-track EP, out April 16 in time for Father's Day and summer weddings. The EP advances Krystal's full-length album Whiskey & Lace, which will be released later this year.

Krystal's national debut came during an awards show duet performance of "Mockingbird" with her father. Focused on pursuing a recording career, she heeded her parents' wishes and completed her college degree at the University of Oklahoma before beginning work on the album in earnest.

HOME SWEET HOME – INSTRUMENTAL TRIBUTE TO THE CIVIL WAR ERA OF SONGS

April 16, 2013 (Nashville, TN)—Rural Rhythm Records is saluting the 150th Anniversary of the Civil War (1861-1865) with an instrumental album titled Home Sweet Home, which contains 14 songs that were popular during the Civil War Era.

Mike Scott (producer & performer) has assembled an all star group of musicians to pay tribute to the popular parlor songs, minstrel songs and marching songs from this era, which are now known as traditional standards.  Joining Scott on this album are awarding winning players Adam Steffey, Rob Ickes, Bryan Sutton, Aubrey Haynie, Tim Stafford, Mike Compton, Ben Isaacs, Jeff Taylor and Scott Miller.

“I am so excited about this Civil War Era project.  My own banjo heritage traces back to both of my grandfathers.  Also, my great grandmother “Verdie” on my dad’s side played banjo and was born during the 1860’s Civil War period.  I never had the opportunity to meet any of them, but I am proud to carry on the banjo legacy in our family”, says Mike Scott.

The songs on Home Sweet Home could be heard during the 1860’s in America’s major cities, small towns, rural areas and soldier encampments during the Civil War.  150 Years later, these American musical treasures can be enjoyed again on this special collection.  These songs should not be lost and forgotten, but passed down to future generations as a part of America’s musical heritage.

Mike Scott says, “I dedicate this project to those who broke through the pages of our nation’s history and paved the way for a better America.  I hope these tunes will touch you and give you a reminder of a period of time captivated as part of our nation’s journey to unity and freedom.  May it bring you joy, put a smile on your face and put some ‘giddy-up’ in your step”!

New Exhibits Unveiled at Willie Nelson & Friends Museum

New Exhibits Unveiled at Willie Nelson & Friends Museum

Expansion includes recent Hall of Fame inductee Kenny Rogers, Lefty Frizzell,
Dottie West, Frizzell & West and more on display at Nashville museum

Mark Hughes, Davdi Frizzell, Kay Hughes.jpgNashville, TN --- It was Willie Nelson who wrote the poignant words that became one of his many, many hit country songs; “Ain’t It Funny How Time Slips Away.”

Time does indeed slip away, but memories live on at Nashville’s Willie Nelson & Friends Museum which is not only brimming with personal items and memorabilia from some of the genre’s most iconic stars. It also touts the largest country music gift shop in town. Proprietors, Kay and Mark Hughes oversee the store and museum which includes artifacts from Willie’s life and career, (many items purchased at the auction to satisfy the IRS in the early 1990’s), as well as exhibits honoring country music and Grand Ole Opry legends like Johnny Cash, Roy Orbison, Patsy Cline, Merle Haggard and more.

Never-before published photos of many Country Music legends are on display, as well as priceless treasures like the guitar Willie played during his first appearance on the Grand Ole Opry. And where else can you see a Braille version of Playboy Magazine? A special gift to Ronnie Milsap, the manuscript is perhaps definitive proof that Playboy’s appeal is the articles!

With a recent expansion, the museum has added more artist displays, personal items and memorabilia dedicated to preserving the history and roots of country music.

Recently named among the latest inductees into the Country Music Hall of Fame, Kenny Rogers is honored in a new display alongside the late Dottie West. Spectacular costumes belonging to Dottie have been added along with memorabilia and personal items from Dottie’s career with duet partner, Rogers. Their albums, Every Time Two Fools Collide and the later Classics made Kenny and Dottie among the most celebrated duet acts every seen in Country Music.

The latest exhibits include a very special showcase with photos, a signature guitar and a suit owned by Lefty Frizzell; a suit, in fact, that the legendary singer once loaned to a young George Jones. The museum store carries the book, “I Love you A Thousand Ways: The Lefty Frizzell Story” which was lovingly penned by Lefty’s brother, David, an iconic star in his own right. Lefty’s unique style has influenced generations of singers.

David Frizzell is honored in a separate display, alongside longtime duet partner, Shelly West. The duo’s stage clothes, albums and other memorabilia are included. Frizzell & West remains one of the most-awarded acts in entertainment; one that produced five albums. The duo twice won the Country Music Association’s Vocal Duo of the Year award, twice won the Academy of Country Music award for Vocal Duet of the Year and were awarded the ACM Song of the Year award. They also received three Music City News Awards.  Frizzell has maintained a vibrant solo career to this day. He scored a huge chart-topping hit with “I’m Gonna Hire A Wino To Decorate Our Home,” featured on CMT’s 40 Greatest Drinking Songs in Country Music.

The Willie Nelson & Friends Museum is open daily. For more information, visit www.WillieNelsonGeneralStore.com

SWEETHEARTS OF THE RODEO

SWEETHEARTS OF THE RODEO TO PERFORM AT LOCAL EVENT BENEFITING MINIATURE THERAPY HORSES

Famed Mini Horses in Route to Sandy Hook, CT, to Make Stop in Nashville

Nashville, Tenn. (April 15, 2013) - This Saturday, April 20, the Sweethearts of the Rodeo are set to perform at a Nashville-area event benefiting Gentle Carousel Therapy Horses.

Gentle Carousel's team of tiny therapy horses (or Minis) work inside hospitals, assisted living programs, hospice programs, programs for Alzheimer patients, schools, libraries and with adults and children with disabilities.  They also work with foster children and at risk and abused children.  Gentle Carousel Miniature Therapy Horses is an all volunteer 501(c)(3) non-profit charity.  The therapy horses of Gentle Carousel visit over 20,000 adults and children each year.

The Minis are ‘granting a wish’ at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis on April 17 and will make a stop at Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital in Nashville the following day. After the stops in Tennessee, they head to Sandy Hook, CT to bring love and comfort to the grief-stricken community.

To provide some much needed rest in between visits, a local farm contacted Gentle Carousel to offer boarding for the Minis.  The Minis will spend two days at the farm, with one day set as a public fundraiser to generate money for the non-profit charity horses.

"I've been crazy in love with horses my entire life," says Janis Oliver. "Now that I've had horses of my own for quite some time, I can speak to the 'special powers' they possess.  I can't wait feel the 'Magic' of these little angels with manes and tails."

Kristine Arnold, the other half of the Sweethearts adds, "Well it's a win-win for me... I get to sing to benefit others and I get to visit with these beautiful mini horses...I really can't wait! "

The event is set for this Saturday from 12:00 to 2:00 PM at Innisfree Farm (831 Old Hillsboro Road in Franklin, TN).  Sweethearts of the Rodeo will perform and Magic, a Mini, will host a story book reading session for the kids.  The event will also include face painting and balloons.  Hotdogs, chips and light refreshments will be served.  Tickets are $15 at the door and $10 for advance purchases.  Children under 12 are FREE.  All donations are graciously accepted.  For advance ticket purchases email Allison Kennedy at allison@allisonkennedy.net.

Allison Kennedy, a local realtor and the event's creator and host notes, "I am on the charity committee for Zeitlin & Company Realtors and we raise money for St. Jude and Monroe Carell so this was a perfect add on.  Fifteen workers will be dressed in Zeitlin t-shirts and white pants and ready to greet our guests!"

TATE STEVENS’ HOMETOWN HONORS HIM ON WATER TOWER

Newly Painted Belton, Mo. Landmark Reads “Home of Tate Stevens, Live the Dream!”

BELTON, Mo. (April 15, 2013) – Syco/RCA Nashville recording artist Tate Stevens is experiencing a lot of firsts this year following his first place finish on FOX's The X Factor, including landing a record deal, releasing new single "Power of a Love Song" to country radio, and his upcoming April 23 self-titled debut album release.  Now Stevens can claim a new "first" as his hometown honors him with an impressive 160' City of Belton water tower, freshly painted with "Home of Tate Stevens, Live the Dream!"

Stevens, a former blue collar road worker for the city, always displayed such appreciation for his small hometown while pursuing his life-long dream of becoming a country music star on The X Factor.  Viewers were captivated by this unassuming Southern gentleman with the powerhouse vocals.  Among those viewers was a contingent of Belton residents, who led the charge to raise 100% the funds for the water tower repainting and dedication.

“It’s moments like this that really make me smile,” shares Stevens. “The support I’ve felt from the community is incredible, and I hope I can continue to make them proud. I’m so incredibly humbled by this honor.”

Belton officials unveiled the landmark, located near Stevens' home off Interstate 49 and M-58 Highway on Sunday, March 31 with the formal dedication, which Stevens will attend, scheduled for Monday, April 22, with media call-time at 10:30a.m. CDT.  Stevens will perform a sold out show in Kansas City, Mo. at the Midland by AMC on Sunday, but fans can still purchase a limited number of tickets to his Monday night performance here
