Country Gospel Singer's New Release Slated for Early 2013!

Country Gospel Singer's New Release Slated for Early 2013!
Los Angeles, CA 12/14/12 - Country Gospel singer, Joyce Shaffer, is about to release a much-anticipated song which she holds very dear and close to her heart. In the grand tradition of country artists, Joyce has written a song about her past and more specifically about her beloved mother and the lessons she taught her and others through her deep faith in God. The song's title tells you some of the story, "Mamma Was A Warrior" (With a Bible in Her Hand.)
Shaffer is not new to pulling from her past to make a point about life with her music. "Farmer's Pride" was about the hardships of life endured by her father and family as he toiled the earth as a sharecropper of dry land beans.  Then there was her hit song, "Loretta's Shoes", about country great Loretta Lynn which Loretta loved. Joyce and Loretta Lynn have much in common and both write and sing about what they know best.
Over the last few years, Shaffer has graced the country charts time after time with her heartfelt music and is making a mark with each of her well-crafted songs that she hopes will help people remember the true importance and value of life. All you have to do is listen to one of her songs to know its undoubted truth. They reach down inside you and touches your heart to what life is truly all about. 2013 will open the doors to Joyce Shaffer's country gospel rise.

HannaClaus is Back in Town with Two New Christmas Songs!

HannaClaus is Back in Town with Two New Christmas Songs!
Nashville, TN (December 14, 2012)- After taking a year off to write new music set for release in 2013, Greg Hanna is back with two new Christmas songs for fans; one re-recorded Christmas staple and one tongue-in-cheek, rockin' tune!
Hanna's remake of the Canadian Christmas classic, "Christmas in the Valley," features vocals from Wayne Rostad, who originally recorded the holiday favorite. Rostad commented on the remake, "Greg Hanna has released a beautiful version of my song and in so doing, has given all of us a wonderful Christmas present. I love what he and his talented Nashville musicians have delivered."
The second song from Hanna's Christmas musical offering is the rock 'n' roll flavored original, "Nekked As A Reindeer," on which Emerson Drive's Brad Mates lends his vocals. The upbeat, humorous song will have fans smiling from ear to ear in seconds!
"I have gone Christmas Crazy this year!"  says Hanna. "Christmas is by far my favorite time of year and this season, I decided to cut both a traditional Christmas song for the folks back in Canada and an original for Hannamaniacs on both sides of the border, as a way to say "thanks" for the great year we have had. I am thrilled to share more new music with everyone in 2013!"
Both "Christmas in the Valley" and "Nekked As A Reindeer" are available on iTunes and via

THE VOICE OF GERMANY-Gewinner Staffel 2 ist Nick Howard

The Voice Of Germany“ musikalisch befindet.

Freedom Inn A 'Live" country music show DVD recorded by Howard Vokes and the Country Boys

This is a 'double' whammy of country music.  Howard Vokes is known as the best promoter of country music in the Northeast United States.  He headquarters out of Pennsylvania, and when you see a song with a title like "The Polka From Outer Space" maybe this might be the legendary 'needle in the haystack' kind of CD that could be a lot of fun.  There is actually one CD and one DVD, the first one is a compilation of the many songs Howard Vokes recorded at the peak of his career in country music, and the second one is a 'live' video-recording of what he is doing today.
The CD was recorded quite a long time ago, over a long period of time, but it adequately demonstrates Howard Vokes singing ability as well as his songwriting abilities.  No digital recording equipment, but what we hear of the instruments, the 'mix' is pretty good.  Think early Roy Acuff and you'd have a pretty good picture of what Howard's early country music sounded like.  But, he also used quite a bit of steel guitar as opposed to resonator guitar.
This is definitely not the 'Nashville' sound, it's down-home, traditional, and certainly done with a lot of heart and soul.  Howard does not name his musicians in the CD, I believe because this is a sort of compilation using songs from several different early recording sessions.  The photo of him on the cover of the first CD is a very young man, curly dark haired, and dressed to the "T" in cowboy attire, neckerchief and all.  The DVD photo is of the same man, white hair, same acoustic guitar, and a bolo tie instead of a neckerchief, and rest assured some of the same songs.
We're dealing with a 'super-star' from the past with both of these projects.  Everything we listen to here, is like one of his early songs, very likely a 'ghost of a honky tonk slave,' only in this case, it's the real-deal.  It's Howard Vokes.  The very nice part of listening to Howard Vokes is his terrific country music voice, so full of soul, and heartache. This is true on both the CD and the DVD.  I was quite impressed to notice that his voice as a white-haired man is as good, or better, than it was when he was much much younger.
Howard has been inducted into America's Old Time Country Music Hall of Fame, and is still a music master to be reckoned with in Pennsylvania.  If you like adventure, then you will enjoy, not only a trip back in time, but hearing the same master at the microphone, doing what he did 50 years ago, just as well today.  The "Polka From Outer Space" didn't exactly turn out the way I expected.  It's really a good story about a guy who is totally happy dancing with the most beautiful girl in the world....or make that 'space.'

Austin Webb Releases Debut Single “It’s All Good”

Austin Webb Releases Debut Single “It’s All Good”
(Nashville, Tenn. – Dec. 14, 2013)  Streamsound Records recording artist Austin Webb will release his debut single, “It’s All Good,” to Country radio Dec. 17.
The track is a rhythmic and soulful nod to “relaxing, lovin’ the girl you’re with and treating her right,” notes Webb, whose laid-back sound incorporates the two musical genres he grew up listening to most: Country and Soul.

Webb co-wrote “It’s All Good” with friend and frequent collaborator Jake Mitchell.  The track is Webb’s first single from his upcoming 2013 full-length album release, produced by Streamsound’s Byron Gallimore.  The Grammy-winning producer has worked with and produced No. 1 hits for acts including Tim McGraw, Faith Hill, Martina McBride, Sugarland and Lauren Alaina, among others.
“‘It’s All Good’ really captures good love and good times in a lighthearted and groovy manner,” says Webb.  “It’s about waking up beside a good looking woman and just forgetting the problems of daily life.  It only took about a half a pack of cigarettes to write!”
A Greenville, S.C., native, Webb cites iconic artists and songwriters like Joe Cocker, Otis Redding, Bill Withers, Guy Clark, Bob Dylan and Townes Van Zandt as major influences.  He currently lives in Nashville and has been visiting radio stations for the past two months on a national radio tour.
“It’s All Good” will be available on iTunes and most other major digital music retailers.  For more information or to listen to the new track, visit
