COUNTRY SINGER TY ENGLAND GETS MARRIED IN MEXICO

COUNTRY SINGER TY ENGLAND GETS MARRIED IN MEXICO

Mr. “Should’ve Asked Her Faster” Finally Asked Her!

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK -- Country singer Ty England, best known for his smash hit “Should’ve Asked Her Faster” which reached No. 3 on the Billboard Country Singles Chart, recently married Justina Cardoza in Playa Del Carmen, Mexico.

Ty England kisses his new bride Justina, as Maid of Honor Tiffany Clemons and Best Man (and Ty’s cousin) Mike Hines applaud.

The couple met several years ago in Boise, Idaho after Ty performed a concert at the Buffalo Club. As is his usual practice, the singer was signing autographs and posing for photos with his fans when Justina and her friend came over to meet him.

“I can’t explain it, but I knew during that first conversation that Justina and I would become good friends,” said Ty.  “Sure, she was beautiful, but it was far more than that. There was an instant mental connection, and I knew I wanted to know more about her.” Enjoying their talk, he asked for her business card when it was time for her to leave.

On the bus ride back to his home in Oklahoma City, Ty continued to think about Justina.  He soon e-mailed her, she responded, and their friendship was born. The two friends began sharing stories of their lives and families, and found they had much in common. E-mails led to frequent phone calls, and over time they discovered they had fallen in love. During the next few years as Ty raised his four children from a previous marriage in Oklahoma City and Justina pursued her career as a realtor in Boise, the two were in constant contact as their relationship deepened. And finally, he popped the question.

“Justina is the love of my life,” said Ty. “It was a revelation to have a relationship start as nothing more than a friendship but then turn into a love affair. I am blessed to be married to a woman who loves me, loves my children, and supports my dreams. I hope everyone will have the good fortune to find the ‘Justina’ in their lives. But back off, boys…this one’s mine!”

After enjoying their wedding and honeymoon in Playa Del Carman, Mr. and Mrs. England have settled down in Oklahoma City. In-between parental duties and acquainting his wife with his home state, Ty continues to perform concerts across the nation. He plans to begin work on his next album in 2013.

About Ty England

Oklahoma-native Ty England first appeared on the national country music scene as the rhythm guitarist and harmony vocalist for his former college roommate Garth Brooks. After signing with RCA Records, England left Brooks’ band to embark on a solo career. His self-titled debut album was given an “A” rating by Entertainment Weekly, which called it “a remarkably poised performance.” The album spawned two hit singles, including “Should’ve Asked Her Faster,” which reached No. 3 on the Billboard Hot Country Singles Chart, and “Smoke in Her Eyes.” After releasing his second album, Two Ways to Fall, England left RCA and signed with Capitol Nashville where Brooks produced his third album, Highways and Dance Halls. After taking a break from recording for a few years in order to raise his children, England released his fourth album, Alive and Well and Living the Dream. He plans to begin work on a new album in 2013. For more information, visit www.TyEnglandMusic.com

Madison Violet – Konzert in St. Pölten (8. November 2012)

Madison Violet – Konzert in St. Pölten (8. November 2012)

„No Fool For Trying“, „Come As You Are“, „The Ransom“ oder „Lauralee“.

Aaron Lewis’ New Video “Forever” To World Premiere on CMT’s Big New Music Weekend

Aaron Lewis’ New Video “Forever” To World Premiere
on CMT’s Big New Music Weekend

New Full-Length Album, The Road, In Stores Tuesday

Nashville, TN (November 8, 2012)— The new music video for “Forever,” by Blaster Records’ Aaron Lewis, is set to make its World Premiere during CMT’s "Big New Music Weekend" starting Friday, Nov 9 at 6am ET/PT and running throughout the weekend.

Lewis penned “Forever,” which addresses the toll time apart can take on a relationship, while on tour earlier this year.  The video for the song, directed by Jim Wright for Tailight TV, documents Lewis life behind the scenes while out on the road.  The video's main performance was shot in last month in Nashville, TN.  Fans can see "Forever", plus seven brand new videos from some of country’s hottest acts this weekend exclusively on CMT.

“’Forever’ is a pretty honest song about how lonely it can get out on the road,” explains Lewis. “But realizing at the end of it, it really was all just doubt and when you walk through the door and see your wife and kids, it all goes away.”

The song is the new single from his first full-length studio album, The Road, which hits stores on Tuesday, November 13.

Fans can catch Lewis out on the recently announced “The Road Tour” with Mercury Nashville’s Randy Montana as his special acoustic opener.  For up-to-date information on Aaron Lewis, visit www.aaronlewismusic.com

“We are beyond thrilled to partner with country-bluegrass legend Charlie Daniels on a holiday CD that’s only available to our guests.  Mr. Daniels’ musical talents are equal to his generous heart and we admire his decades-long commitment to charitable causes that benefit children and the under-privileged,” said Alice Crowder, Vice President of Marketing for Buffets, which operates 350 restaurants primarily under the Ryan’s®, Old Country Buffet® and HomeTown® Buffet brands.

Daniels echoed the importance of Christmas, family and giving back.  “The Buffets, Inc. brands are providing a way to celebrate Christmas through music and help the children of our military at the same time,” he said.  “It’s important to remember the reason for this season.”

Crowder said that CD proceeds will support ASYMCA’s children’s initiatives designed to help children of deployed military to take a break from their everyday worries.  Buffets, Inc. and its portfolio of brands pledged nationwide support of the non-profit earlier this year.

Bobby Cyrus Releases Entertaining Debut Single, “Milkman’s Eyes”

Light-hearted song and video feature appearances from cousin Billy Ray Cyrus; video now airing on GAC

(Nashville, Tenn. – Nov. 8, 2012)  BGC Records/GMV Nashville artist Bobby Cyrus is releasing his debut single, “Milkman’s Eyes,” to Country radio on Monday, Nov. 12.

The up-tempo track is a cleverly written, tongue-in-cheek duet recorded with Cyrus’ cousin Billy Ray, who co-wrote the song and also appears in the music video.  The two cousins had performed the song a handful of times together over the years before Bobby chose to release it as the debut single from his upcoming album, Homeplace.

“Bobby is a great vocalist,” says Billy Ray.  “He’s got a great voice.  I felt honored that he chose to cut ‘Milkman’s Eyes.’  I’m so proud of Bobby and the sound he’s got going.  It’s got a family blend to it.”

The “Milkman’s Eyes” music video was directed by award-winning filmmaker John Lloyd Miller. The clip world premiered Oct. 25 on Great American Country’s “Daily Countdown” program and airs again this Friday, Nov. 9, at 4:30 ET on GAC’s “Out of the Box” segment.  The light-hearted video includes appearances from both Cyrus cousins and demonstrates the fun-loving chemistry the two singers share between them.

“Billy Ray worked really hard and took time out of his extremely busy life to be a part of this single and video,” says Bobby Cyrus, who wrote seven of the 12 tracks on Homeplace.  “Words could never express how much his efforts mean to me.”

“Milkman’s Eyes” is currently available here on iTunes, as well as GMVNashville.com and most other major digital music retailers.  Cyrus’ debut album, Homeplace, is set for release before the end of the year.  For more information, visit www.BobbyCyrusOfficial.com

Steel Guitar News November 8. 2012

Hello fellow players, This is Vic Lawson with today’s newsletter. I was asked, “How much do you experiment and where do you experiment, during practice or onstage?” Personally I only experiment during practice. I feel like if I experiment onstage, not only does it affect my integrity, but the integrity of the band. I just try to play what I should play and where I’m supposed to play and save the experimenting for home. However I know a lot of people that do experiment, but it usually ends up in a train wreck which over a four hour period ends up making people think that guy screws up a lot. I think there’s an exception to every rule, but generally there’s a time and place for everything. The only time I ever experiment is if I hear the guitar player or the fiddle player play a phrase that I want to jump in on. I may end up missing it, but that’s my version of experimenting. To me as a listener in certain places I can understand it, like if I’m downtown and it’s 12:30 in the night and there’s three people in the place, go ahead. But if there’s a packed house, you need to play it like a professional and not experiment. As a musician I can appreciate what someone is trying to do, but as a member of the audience, it’s not something I want to hear. It’s very easy to fall into safe licks. I did this weekend and I felt my creativity was way down this weekend. I just fell into a safe mode all weekend playing things I know will work all the time. However, just because I play it safe onstage doesn’t mean that I won’t try to push the edge a little further out. There’s a fine line there when I think about it. For me pushing the edge makes me create licks that I know will work, but yet I know at the end of the lick I’m not going to completely blow it, whereas experimenting to me is not knowing the end result until it’s over. How far you push the envelope is subject to your own limitations. Buddy Emmons would be much better at pushing the envelope than I would. Some nights it’s like you can’t mess up no matter what you do. Other nights it’s a struggle to just play it safe. Your mental state when you go into a gig can really make a difference. If you’re too uptight and worried about messing up or who is listening, you’re more likely to mess up than if you have a more laid back attitude. Being on top of your mental game is a large part of being a successful musician. I may have more to say on the subject in the future. If any of you guys have any thoughts on it, pop me an email. I’ve also been questioned about how I get my tone. My answer is, “What tone?” I’m kidding of course. Tone is very important to a steel guitar player. I say most of it comes from your hands and your heart, however I know those that will argue that. It starts with a good guitar, but how you manipulate that guitar is how you get your tone and that would be your hands. To me, for example Tommy White sounds like Tommy regardless of what guitar he’s playing. Therefore, I think that’s what separates the great players from the good players. With that being said, no matter what effects you use, if you’re still not happy with your tone, work on your technique. There are a lot more factors but that’s a good starting point. Like Bobbe always says, you can give Porter Waggoner Dolly Parton’s microphone, but he’s still going to sound like Porter, not Dolly. Almost everybody has a signature sound which is what makes music great because no two players will play the same song the same way. We’ve received a lot of emails about general music theory. Nashville musicians long ago developed their own way of communicating music theory. It’s called the Nashville Number System. If it’s something that you don’t understand, it’s something that you need to learn because that’s how musicians everywhere communicate. I hear a lot of players who come in here say they play by ear and don’t need all that stuff. Well if they’re going to play with other people, they need to learn the lingo that everybody is using, otherwise it will just frustrate them when somebody calls out something they don’t understand. It saves a lot of time a rehearsals and practice if you understand the lingo and don’t have to hear everything played before you can understand it. We’re now offering narrow mount Lawrence 705 humbucker pickups for Sho-Buds, Mullen Royal Precision and other guitars that require a narrow mount pickup. They are only available in ten string models. THE MARSHALL TUCKER BAND DEPLOYS TRUCKS TO AID HURRICANE SANDY VICTIMS

THE MARSHALL TUCKER BAND DEPLOYS TRUCKS TO AID HURRICANE SANDY VICTIMS

Nashville, Tenn. (November 7, 2012) - The Marshall Tucker Band is seeking donations for items to be delivered to Hurricane Sandy victims in the Northeast.

This Thursday in Spartanburg, South Carolina, the legendary southern rock group will dispatch its tour truck to collect donations that will be transported to hurricane victims.  The Marshall Tucker Band tour truck will be stationed outside of the Spartanburg Memorial Auditorium from 4:30 to 7:30 PM.  Additional trucks are also in the works for donation collections in Anderson and Chesnee, South Carolina.

Lead singer Doug Gray, along with other members of the Marshall Tucker Band, will be on hand to thank those wishing to help.

"People in that part of the country have supported The Marshall Tucker Band for over 40 years," says Gray.  "We've made a lot of friends up there, have watched people's families grow and have grown with them. So, on a personal level, I know a lot of their pain."

"Palmetto Sound Works in Spartanburg has been kind enough to help with aiding the hurricane victims ... they will also be sending several trucks."  Gray notes.  "One wonderful couple from New Port Richey, Florida has already donated 4,000 blankets."

The band asks that people not bring cash donations.

Gray adds, "If you want to contribute cash, please contact the American Red Cross.  We're primarily looking to collect coats and blankets since it's starting to get cold up there."
