006_DSCF0073.JPG
Mit dabei waren diesmal:
Ali (voc., banjo, mandolin)
Pete (voc., git., harp, dobro, mandolin)
Professor (voc., perc.)
Baron (voc., git., perc.)
Hammer (voc., fiddle, git.)
Goof (voc., contra-bass)
012_DSCF0079.JPG
Da jedes Bandmitglied auch singt ergibt sich eine sehr breit gefächerte Stilistik. Angefangen mit dem Instrumental >Scotland<, >Sitting On Top Of the World<, >Abilene<, >Salty Dog Blues<, >Dirty Old Town<, >Hey, Good Lookin’<, >Trail Of Tears<, >That’s Allright, Mama<, bis zum Beatles-Song >What Goes On<, dem Jodler >Cattle Call< und dem Kinderlied >Pippi Langstrumpf<.
Alles klar?

HARD COUNTRY by Audie Blaylock & Redline Album Releasing June 19

HARD COUNTRY by Audie Blaylock & Redline
Album Releasing June 19

First single “A Natural Thing” Hitting the Bluegrass Charts

Nashville, TN (June 13, 2012) --  Rural Rhythm Records is proud to announce the June 19, 2012 album release, HARD COUNTRY, by AUDIE BLAYLOCK & REDLINE.  Produced by Audie Blaylock, HARD COUNTRY is mixed with the cheating and heartbreak songs and that fiery hard-driving instrumental work that AUDIE BLAYLOCK & REDLINE have become known for while performing their high energy live shows.  Musicians on the album include: Audie Blaylock, Jesse Brock, Patrick McAvinue, Russ Carson, and Jason Moore.

There are numerous highlighted tracks on the album including the first single release, A Natural Thing (view video below) that is now appearing on the June Bluegrass Music Profiles Magazine Top 30 Hot Singles Chart and on the INTO THE BLUE's TOP PICK OF THE MONTH on the Bluegrass Radio Network.  The song was written by Harley Allen who also penned “Home Is Where The Heart Is”.  HARD COUNTRY also includes two songs written by Audie Blaylock titled, “The Chair” and “A Grandmother’s Love”, plus another stand out track, “Real Good Way to Lose” written by Josh Shilling and Jon Weisberger.

Audie said, “I chose the name HARD COUNTRY because I think it really defines the music on this disc. It still has that hard-driving bluegrass edge then changes into slower paced ballad type songs as well, which really show cases the versatility of this band. It also shows just how closely bluegrass and country music are related. All in all, I think there is something for everyone here. To date, I think this is some of our most creative work and I hope everyone enjoys listening as much as we enjoy playing it.”

AUDIE BLAYLOCK & REDLINE recently taped an upcoming Lost Echoes Production TV special BLUEGRASS COMES TO THE VALLEY that also included performances by Marty Raybon, Carrie Hassler, Rodney Dillard & The Dillard Band, and the Darrell Webb Band.  This exciting new show will debut on Reno’s Old Time Music Festival” on RFD-TV hosted by Ronnie Reno airing later this year on BlueHighways TV.  The event was supported by the Mt. Vernon-RockCastle County Tourist Commission and the City of Mt. Vernon.

Audie Blaylock can also be seen on another upcoming TV special - “Christmas: The Mountain Way” - a live performance musical show showcasing Christmas and its traditions in the Appalachian Mountains.  The program, which is being filmed for broadcast on national cable network BlueHighways TV, will be shot at the historic Bell Theater in Pineville, KY on June 19, 2012 before a live audience.

AUDIE BLAYLOCK & REDLINE are now on tour including tomorrow’s performance at the Bill Monroe Memorial Bean Blossom Bluegrass Festival, a June 16 performance at the Tug Hill Bluegrass Festival in Lowville, NY, and many more.  For a complete tour schedule and more information on the band and their new album, please visit AudieBlaylock.com and http://www.facebook.com/audieblaylock&redline.

Bluegrass Generations Come Together In Nashville

Bluegrass Generations Come Together In Nashville – Ricky Skaggs, Rhonda Vincent, Jimmy Fortune, Dailey + Vincent and The Roys

Bluegrass is all about passing the torch. During last week’s CMA Music Festival there was a special gathering filled with songs and inspiration during “Bluegrass Generations,” hosted by Sharla McCoy of McCoy and Associates.  Award-winning Bluegrass duo The Roys joined Ricky Skaggs, Rhonda Vincent, Dailey + Vincent and Jimmy Fortune during a special  in-the-round performance for a large group of radio programmers at Nashville’s Tracking Room studio. Each artist discussed their background and musical heroes, and  then performed a couple of songs. The one hour event has been packaged for radio.

NEW CMA RESEARCH STUDY REVEALS MUSIC CONSUMPTION INSIGHTS AMONGST COUNTRY MUSIC FANS

Radio Listening Behavior via Traditional and Alternative Outlets; Tune-in Influencers and New Artist and New Song Discovery and Purchasing Among Survey Topics
NASHVILLE –As part of its ongoing research and membership services initiatives, the Country Music Association announced today results from its recent Music Listening Study.
Country Music fans are avid radio listeners and doing as much radio listening as ever.  Compared to a year ago, 87 percent of respondents are listening to local Country Radio stations as much or more, with 18-24 year olds being twice as likely to listen to more Country Music than the prior year. Loyalty is a top influencer for choosing Country Radio as evidenced by 75 percent of listeners reporting they have been listening to the same station for years.
While AM/FM car radio is the top source Country Music fans tap for music listening, fans are also fueling their passion for music online as well. Listening to music online via a desktop or laptop computer ranks second with 74 percent of Country Music fans reporting this listening behavior. Of those online listeners, Country Music fans currently prefer Pandora over Spotify at a ratio of nearly 2 to 1.
Radio and Online channels are great sources for discovering new artists and songs.  Country Music fans utilize all radio outlets as their primary source for new artist and song discovery followed by music video channels.
Country Music fans plan to continue to support their favorite artists by buying more music. Nearly 30 percent of respondents plan to purchase more Country Music by means of digital tracks, digital CDs, and physical CDs in the next 12 months.
The survey was conducted online with a random sample of 1,109 respondents aged 18+ from the CMA Insider Fan Panel, a group of more than 13,000 Country Music fans recruited from various industry social nets and events. Respondents were queried on their favorite methods to purchase and listen to music and discover new artists and songs, as well as their loyalty to the genre.

BELLAMY & BACON BROTHERS TEAM TO RE-RELEASE "GUILTY OF THE CRIME"

BELLAMY & BACON BROTHERS TEAM TO
RE-RELEASE "GUILTY OF THE CRIME"

(WATCH OFFICIAL MUSIC VIDEO HERE)

David & Howard Bellamy Team with Kevin & Michael Bacon to
Re-release Collaborative Song on New Projects

Nashville, Tenn. (June 13, 2012) - This summer, “Guilty of the Crime,” the collaboration between the famous brother duos the Bellamy Brothers and the Bacon Brothers will be re-released by both groups. The song is featured on the Bellamys new box set released by Reader's Digest entitled Let Your Love Flow: The Ultimate Bellamy Brothers Collection which is available for purchase now through ReadersDigest.com. The Bacon Brothers, comprised of actor Kevin Bacon and his brother Michael Bacon, will also re-release the song including it on their new greatest hits album, Philadelphia Road – The Best of the Bacon Brothers available June 19.

“It really has become one of our favorite songs,” says David Bellamy, “and by that I don’t simply mean that it’s a great song and we always love playing it. That’s just half of it. The other half is the whole experience we had working with Kevin and Michael and shooting the video with Shannon Doherty was something really special.”

“We shot the video in Memphis’ Shelby County Correctional Center,” adds Howard Bellamy. “'Hustle & Flow' and parts of 'Walk the Line' were shot there too.  We have a lot of great memories from it. I’m sure it’s the same for the Bacons, and that’s why we both released it again on our new collections.”

The song and video, originally released in 2009 on the Bellamy Brothers' Anthology Volume 1 album, came as a result of a relationship that was forged at a live show in Sturgis, South Dakota, where both bands performed.

"We first met Howard and David at the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally where they invited us to hang with them on their bus and we quickly became friends," says Kevin Bacon.  "About a year later the Bellamy camp asked if we'd sing on 'Guilty of the Crime' for the Anthology CD and of course we jumped on it!"

Michael Bacon adds, "The double duet ended up working well and we joined them at a West Tennessee prison to shoot the video.  It was a total gas.  Later on they asked us to sing 'Guilty' with them on the Grand Ole Opry.  I have to say that in my 40 plus years in the music business, singing with the Bellamy Brothers at the Opry was a very high point."

The Bellamy Brothers’ Let Your Love Flow: The Ultimate Bellamy Brothers Collection is available here at the Reader's Digest store, and the Bacon Brothers’ Philadelphia Road – The Best of the Bacon Brothers is available for pre order at Amazon.com.

Watch the official video for “Guilty of the Crime” can be seen here.
