He has placed 20 singles at the top of the charts. Paisley’s current album, This Is Country Music, debuted at #1 on Billboard’s Top Country Albums chart and is his sixth consecutive studio album to debut as the nation’s country best-seller. He released his first book, Diary of a Player, on Nov. 1, 2011 and was on the New York Times Best Seller list for two weeks. Paisley’s 2011 “H2O II: Wetter & Wilder Tour” played to over one million fans in the U.S. and Europe.
About The Band Perry:
The Band Perry's "modern throwback" style combines classic Country with an eclectic infusion of Rock, Gospel and Soul, all rounded out by perfect three-part harmonies. Their Republic Nashville platinum debut album, THE BAND PERRY, features two Gold-certified hits – #1 love ballad, “All Your Life,” and cheatin’ anthem “You Lie” – as well as their breakout, Quadruple-Platinum, #1 smash, “If I Die Young,” which has sold more copies than any other Country artist in the last 18 months. They debuted their latest offering, the Top 20 “Postcard from Paris,” during one of the most memorable performances of the 2012 ACM Awards, according to USA TODAY. Most recently, The Band Perry has been nominated for the Billboard and CMT Music Awards. Previously they won both the 2011 ACM and CMA New Artist of the Year as well as CMA Award for Single of the Year, while KimberlyPerry was honored with CMA Song of the Year, for penning “If I Die Young.” They have also been nominated for GRAMMY, TEEN CHOICE, AMA and ACA awards. In the midst of their own headlining dates, The Band Perry is appearing as special guests on Brad Paisley's "VIRTUAL REALITY WORLD TOUR 2012." For more on The Band Perry, visit
About Scotty McCreery
Since winning Season Ten of American Idol in May 2011, he has quickly emerged as the most successful new country star of the last year. His debut album, Clear As Day, was certified platinum for sales of more than 1 million units in just three months, and he was named No. 1 on Billboard magazine's list of Top New Country Artists for 2011. He won the Academy of Country Music's New Artist of the Year Award in April and New Artist of the Year Award at the American Country Awards in December. He is nominated for two awards — the all-genre Top New Artist and Top Country Album for Clear As Day — at the 2012 Billboard Music Awards, which will be held on May 20. His video "The Trouble With Girls" is nominated for the USA Weekend Breakthrough Video of the Year at the upcoming 2012 CMT Music Awards. Clear As Day debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Top 200 and Top Country Albums charts, making him the youngest man in history to open at the top of the all-genre chart with a debut release. It also garnered the highest sales of any country solo album released last year and held the No. 1 spot on the Billboard Top Country Albums chart for six weeks. The album's first two singles, "I Love You This Big" and “The Trouble With Girls,” have also been certified gold, and his current single is "Water Tower Town."
About Easton Corbin
Mercury Nashville recording artist Easton Corbin is being lauded for his traditional country sound, authentic lyrics and mastery of understatement. USA Today says Easton “is a country music throwback with an easygoing, old-school style.” He is the first country male artist in 17 years to have his first two consecutive singles reach No. 1 -- “A Little More Country Than That” and “Roll With It.” The Gilchrist County Florida native won all of the Breakthrough Artist awards in December 2010 at the American Country Awards – Artist of the Year: Breakthrough Artist, Single of the Year: Breakthrough Artist and Music Video: Breakthrough Artist for “A Little More Country Than That.” Billboard named Corbin as the Top New Country Artist of 2010. His current single is “Lovin’ You Is Fun,” from his forthcoming sophomore album.Visit or to learn more about the Florida native.
About Kristen Kelly
Arista Nashville recording artist Kristen Kelly is new on the radio with the irresistible groove of “Ex-Old Man,” a true-to-life song she wrote with Paul Overstreet and the first single from her major label debut album, releasing later this year. With influences spanning country, classic rock, and the blues, Kristen describes her music as “a little more grease than polish,” pairing powerhouse vocals with lyrics that hit home about real life and real emotion. In its debut week at radio, “Ex-Old Man” was already turning heads, marking the first time in Country Aircheck chart history that a new female artist’s debut single topped the most-added list. A Texas native, Kristen co-wrote 7 of the 11 songs on her upcoming album, helmed by nine-time CMA Award-winning producer, Tony Brown. Keep up with Kristen online at and on Twitter @KristenKelly.
About Jana Kramer
Jana Kramer, the honey-voiced Nashville newcomer, is getting ready to release her self-titled debut album June 5th, 2012 on Elektra Nashville. The album, recorded by multi award-winning producer Scott Hendricks (Brooks & Dunn, Alan Jackson, Blake Shelton), features Kramer's first single, "Why Ya Wanna." The track has been blazing an impressive trail up the charts at a record pace, already No. 22 on Billboard in just 15 weeks. Meanwhile, the Michigan native and former One Tree Hill actress has sold over 330,000 digital singles to date, including almost 150,000 of "Why Ya Wanna." Kramer was recently named CMT's inaugural "Listen Up" artist, a campaign spanning across the channel and online. She also recently made her Grand Ole Opry debut, performing on the famous stage April 13th. For more information, please visit:
About Love and Theft
Love and Theft is a bit different from the group that scored a Top 10 hit two years ago with “Runaway.” But the changes that have affected the group—most notably, signing with RCA Records and downsizing to a duo—have actually brought Love and Theft closer to what it originally set out to be: a band that writes, records and performs honest, soulful country music. “Angel Eyes” is the debut single from Love and Theft’s forthcoming self-titled album being released on Tuesday, July 24. “This really feels like a new beginning for us,” says Stephen. Eric adds, “We have a new label (RCA), a new producer (Josh Leo), there are two of us now instead of three, but the core of Love and Theft is still the same and our sound is still driven by harmonies. Love and Theft recently received news of their first CMT Music Awards nomination in the Duo Video of the Year category for “Angel Eyes.”

America Sends Skylar Laine Packing On 'Idol'

This season's country girl was voted off "American Idol" last night. She's been a consistent favorite of the judges from the very beginning. Last night, in her farewell song "Gunpowder and Lead," she changed a line. Instead of singing, "His fist is big but my gun's bigger," Skylar belted out, "Maybe if I might have gone bigger." Hollie Cavanagh was also in the bottom two, but is safe. Joshua Ledet , Phillip Phillips and Jessica Sanchez will also sing again next week.

Coach Bieste and Puck take on Taylor Swift on Glee

Taylor Swift and "Glee," together at last: Ryan Murphy spilled the beans during the "Glee" cast's screening and panel at the TV Academy on Tuesday, May 1 that Swifty's music will finally appear on the FOX hit. Two characters will duet on the song "Mean" during an upcoming episode.
Who, exactly, will sing the Swift song? Jones played coy during her interview with Zap2it before the panel, but Ryan Murphy spilled the beans about Bieste's next musical number during episode 20. "In two weeks she sings 'Mean' by Taylor Swift with Mark [Salling]."

Steve Richard Makes Appearance on Video Jukebox

Force MP Entertainment Artist Steve Richard Makes Appearance on
Video Jukebox
Nashville, TN – (May 4, 2012) – Force MP Entertainment recording artist Steve Richard recently taped a segment of “Video Jukebox” hosted by fellow ICM artist Laura Dodd
The award-winning Richard invited Dodd to sing a duet with him on his new record and Laura returned the favor and invited Steve to be on her television show.  Richard is still in the studio putting the finishing touches on the new project which is due out later this year.
Richard and Dodd, who is also an award-winning artist, will perform their duet “I See You in Everything” together for the first time on “Video Jukebox.”
“I just love Laura’s voice, it is so pure. She is a lovely person and a joy to work with,” says Steve. “I had a lot of fun as a guest on her show and I’m looking forward to my next visit.”
“Video Jukebox” can be seen on Roku Icon NBN this weekend beginning Sunday May 6 and immediately on the Nashville Broadcasting Network here.
Steve Richard’s current single “Toothbrush” is making quite an impact at country radio. The (pun intended) “tongue-n-cheek” view on life and love is a refreshingly positive approach to the topic.
Richard is currently touring the country on his “Reclaiming Hope” tour and also visiting country radio stations along the way.

Curtis Lyn Cook Honors His All-Time Country Heroes With New Video For “Outlaws”

Longtime Missouri Fan Favorite
Curtis Lyn Cook Honors
His All-Time Country Heroes
With New Video For “Outlaws”

By Phil Sweetland
Music & Radio contributor, The New York Times

NASHVILLE – Last summer, Curtis Lyn Cook lit up request lines and country radio airwaves all over his home state of Missouri.

This year, CLC’s video for “Outlaws,” the radio-friendly anthem he wrote to honor his own role models from Hank Williams to Keith Whitley and Waylon Jennings, has quickly generated nearly 30,000 YouTube views and is ready to be presented to Country Music Television, Great American Country, and RFD-TV to reach millions of country fans.

Here’s a hellraisin’ Outlaw country song I wrote back in ’07,” Curtis tells his fans, many of whom have followed his remarkable career as a singer and songwriter since he was one of St. Louis’s most popular nightclub performers in the early 1990s.

It’s simply a song reflecting some of my heroes in music,” CLC continues. “The Outlaw Movement, with Waylon, Willie, David Allan Coe, Boecphus, Paycheck, and other great artists gave us all the music that we strive to keep alive. That music to me is timeless, it never gets old. Keep it alive by spreading `Outlaws,’ and thanks for listening.”

Over 29,000 folks already have watched “Outlaws,” which was co-produced by CLC’s publishing and songwriting partner Captain Joe Kent of Boat Trash Music.

The song is constantly requested at Curt’s shows, and the new video has the unique ability to be totally current while at the same time stepping back through 75 years of country history, both musically and visually.
But what about today’s Top 40 country artists?

I’m not crazy about the direction new country is going. I grew up a Merle and Waylon fan,” CLC says in a phone conversation from his aptly named country hometown of Festus, Missouri.

Countless country fans from coast to coast couldn’t agree more.
In the “Outlaws” video, as CLC looks fondly over album covers from Waylon, George Jones, Keith Whitley, and others, fans will notice a guitar lick that might sound like one of Waylon’s, a vocal riff reminiscent of Hank Williams, and a sentiment that Jones mentioned in both the record and video for his 1985 classic “Who’s Gonna Fill Their Shoes.”

Other artists who have attempted to sing about earlier icons have almost disappeared into their own videos, but one of the beauties of “Outlaws” is that from the very opening frame, this one is a Cook video all the way. From the signature black cowboy hat to the setting in the Missouri countryside he loves so well, some of the most gorgeous farmland in the USA, the voice and persona of Curtis Lyn Cook shine through every second and every note.

Captain Joe Kent and Curtis Lyn Cook have brought a much-needed breath of fresh air and a jolt of creative energy to Music Row and country radio. With “Outlaws,” this dynamic duo is poised to do the same for country’s prime TV outlets.
