Additional international concert dates will be announced soon.
The North American tour dates will be presented and hydrated by vitaminwater®, sponsored by Olay, and promoted by AEG Live. Special guest Hunter Hayes will open. Carrie is donating $1 from each ticket sold on the North American leg of “The Blown Away Tour” to support Red Cross disaster relief. Every year, the American Red Cross prepares for and responds to nearly 70,000 disasters across the United States. This donation will help the Red Cross provide shelter, food, and emotional support for those in need after a disaster. Proceeds from her Canadian concerts will be donated to the Canadian Red Cross.
Carrie’s two previous headline tours, 2008’s “Carnival Ride Tour” and 2010’s “Play On Tour,” performed for a combined total of nearly 250 shows with 2.2 million fans in attendance, and she wrapped both years as the top-ranked female country touring artist.
Since releasing Some Hearts in 2005, Underwood has sold more than 14 million albums with Some Hearts, 2007’s Carnival Ride, and 2009’s Play On. She’s amassed 14 No. 1 singles, six of which she co-wrote, and became the first country artist in history and the only American Idol winner ever to achieve 10 No. 1 singles from their first two albums. Underwood currently leads the nominations for the upcoming CMT Music Awards with five. She is a five-time Grammy winner, a two-time Academy of Country Music Entertainer of the Year, a three-time Country Music Association and ACM Female Vocalist winner, and a proud member of the Grand Ole Opry.
Hunter Hayes, the multi-talented writer, musician, producer, and performer, is the only country artist to play every instrument, write/co-write every song, and co-produce his critically acclaimed self-titled debut album. As the 2012 ACM New Artist of the Year nominee, Hunter has been touring and performing live for decades, most recently selling out venues across the US and Canada on his MOST WANTED headline tour. This multi-instrumentalist continues to garner praise from fans and critics alike as he made his world-premiere national television debut on CBS’ Late Show with David Letterman and also performed with The Roots on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon and on Good Morning America. The Louisiana native has shared the stage with Taylor Swift, Rascal Flatts, Keith Urban, Lady Antebellum, Trace Adkins, Brad Paisley, and Hank Williams, Jr. to name a few. His current Top 40 hit "Wanted" is quickly climbing the radio charts and holds the unprecedented #1 slot for three weeks in a row on GAC's Top 20 Countdown. NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Randy Houser joined Stoney Creek Records in late 2011. Named the Most Played New Artist of the Year in 2009 by Mediabase, previous hit singles include “Boots On,” “Whistlin’ Dixie” and “Anything Goes." Now he’s back with an upbeat, addictive new single, “How Country Feels,” impacting radio Monday, May 7. Fans will be able to download the new song on iTunes Tuesday, May 8.
“How Country Feels” is Randy’s first single release on Stoney Creek Records and serves as a sneak-peek of what fans can expect from his third album that will hit stores later this year.
"My entire life has changed since my last single, I mean in every way," shares Randy. "I got married to my beautiful wife, have an amazing baby boy, and a passionate new label team that feels more like family.  One thing that has not changed though is my passion to make music and grow as an artist.  I'm so excited about 'How Country Feels' and the reaction I'm getting out on the road when playing it live!"
In support of the new release, Randy is currently headlining a Jagermeister Presents Tour and will be performing at other festivals nationwide.

Montgomery Gentry To Headline Kentucky Cares Tornado Relief

Montgomery Gentry
To Headline Kentucky Cares Tornado Relief
Benefit Concert Presented by 98.1 The Bull

May 9 at Busters Billiards & Backroom in Lexington, KY

Proceeds To Benefit American Red Cross
New Single, “So Called Life,” Impacting Country Radio Now

Montgomery Gentry - "So Called Life"Nashville, Tenn. (May 1, 2012) — 98.1 WBUL The Bull has announced Montgomery Gentry to headline the Kentucky Cares Concert on May 9 to benefit victims from the recent tornado that ripped through eastern Kentucky in early March. The concert will be held in Lexington, KY at Busters Billiards & Backroom with proceeds to go to the local American Red Cross. Presented by 98.1 The Bull, tickets are on sale now at http://www.ticketfly.com/. Fellow Kentuckian Laura Bell Bundy will also be performing.

“Our hearts went out to all those family and businesses that were affected by the storms,” says Eddie Montgomery.  “We've been trying to organize something for a while so we're real glad this worked out with The Bull.  This is our home and we want to do everything we can to help.”

Troy Gentry adds, “We were devastated to hear of the destruction that went through Kentucky.  We are honored to help out and look forward to a big hometown party and raising much needed funds for these communities that need it.”

The dynamic duo, known for their hard-core country anthems, have released “So Called Life” as the second single from their seventh studio album, Rebels On The Run. This is the duo’s first album release on powerhouse indie label Average Joes Entertainment. Written by Sean Patrick McGraw and Bruce Wallace, “So Called Life” is the follow-up single to Montgomery Gentry’s Top 10 radio smash “Where I Come From.”  The guitar driven, in-your-face lyrics resonate with every hard-working American. Troy Gentry explains, “It’s about putting your nose to the grindstone and busting your butt everyday—doing what you have to do.”

Eddie Montgomery says, “ This (song) is for everybody that works for a living, gets a paycheck and half of it is already gone.  It’s just your ‘so called life’ and hell, they want to get to the weekend and have a damn good time.”

The new single has garnered outstanding reviews, receiving four ½ stars from Billy Dukes from Taste of Country. Dukes commented that the new song is “evidence that Troy Gentry and Eddie Montgomery Gentry are back” going on to say, “‘So Called Life’ bares teeth fans haven’t seen in five years. With cut-throat guitar and organ solos towards the end and a rhythm section that grabs hold of you early on and never lets go, this song promises to provide one of the louder slots on the radio this summer."

Billboard reviewed the new single as a "high-octane number brimming with the edge and attitude country fans have come to expect from the rowdy Kentucky duo." Referring to “So Called Life” as a "fiery anthem" saying its "relatable lyrics ensure the song's success.”

Montgomery Gentry have recently been nominated for “Duo of the Year” for the upcoming 2012 CMT Music Awards to be held on June 6.  Fans can vote now at CMT.com http://www.cmt.com/cmt-music-awards/categories.jhtml

 Justin Timberlake, Hank Williams, Jr.
Nashville, TN (May 1, 2012) – Justin Timberlake along with his best friend/WilliamRast business partner Trace Ayala were hanging backstage in Mississippi last Friday night with country music legend Hank Williams Jr.   Williams was in town doing a concert in Southhaven, Mississippi, where Timberlake along with fiancée Jessica Biel, mother Lynn Timberlake, and buddy Alaya all took in a night of some ‘Rockin Randall’.

“What a great guy!  Justin is a friend of my rebel son Kid Rock.  He sure is a good country boy.  We talked about girls, guitars, turkey hunting, going on cruises and how much we hate them, even though Bobby (Kid Rock) is on one right now and loving it, ugh!  Hell, Justin and I even talking about recording a blues song sometime.” – Hank Williams Jr.

Lionel Richie Drops Out Of New ABC Show 'Duets'

He just released a chart topping country duets album, but Lionel Richie won't be singing with any amateurs on ABC's new show "Duets." He has dropped out as a mentor. John Legend is replacing him. Sugarland's Jennifer Nettles will still be a mentor on the show along with Kelly Clarkson and Robin Thicke. According to Entertainment Weekly, Richie's publicist says "personal scheduling conflicts" are to blame. The mentors search for two duet partners across the country and perform with them before a live audience. The winning partner gets a recording contract. "Duets" premieres May 24 on ABC.

The Gloves Come off Between Eric Church & Blake Shelton

Eric Church doesn’t hold back in an interview with Rollingstone magazine. Inside, Eric basically says that reality tv is no way to start a career, further your career, or basically have any positive aspect on much of anything at all…He says this in so many words, many which can’t even be written here. In fact, Eric calls-out Blake Sheltonspecifically for being part of something as successful as “The Voice.” It’s become American Idol gone mad. Honestly, if Blake Shelton and Cee Lo Green f—ing turn around in a red chair, you get a deal? That’s crazy. I don’t know what would make an artist do that. You’re not an artist.”  “If I was concerned about my legacy, there’s no f—ing way I would ever sit there [and be a reality-show judge]. Once your career becomes something other than the music, then that’s what it is. I’ll never make that mistake. I don’t care if I f—ing starve.”

Dierks Bentley Gets Dirty for “5-1-5-0″ Video

Dierks Bentley is gonna get dirty in his upcoming music video for his latest single, “5-1-5-0.” Folks of all ages flocked to The Big Nasty ATV/Motocross Park in Bloomingdale, GA over the weekend to play in the mud and help Bentley film.  The video will feature footage of people having a good ole time muddin’ and some footage of Bentley playing in the back of a pick-up truck. It’s pretty sweet, man,” Josh Collins said, fresh out of a ride through the mud pit on his ATV. “It’s pretty cool to have Dierks Bentley in your truck.” Josh’s pick-up was selected as the “stage” for Dierks to perform on. The video for “5-1-5-0″ will premier in about a month. Colt Ford Throws Impromptu Concert

Colt Ford never likes to disappoint his fans so when Eric Church had to cancel this past Sunday’s “Blood, Sweat, and Beers” tour date in Bloomington, IL, Ford decided to head across the street at a local bar to perform a 90-minute acoustic set. “I felt really bad my buddy Eric Church had to cancel the show. There is no one that takes care of his fans more than Eric and that is why I have so much respect for him. Things just happen sometimes,” explains Ford. “I texted him to ask if he was cool with me and the boys going across the street and playing some acoustic songs for the folks that were hanging around. He said ‘hell yea’ and we dang sure did. It was special. We made the best out of a tough situation. I got everyone to give Eric a big ‘hell yea’ and we had a ball. It is all about the fans for me and Eric.”

Miranda Lambert Scorches Sold-Out Stagecouch Festival Saturday Night

Miranda Lambert Scorches Sold-Out Stagecouch Festival Saturday Night

NASHVILLE, TN – Miranda Lambert took her fiery live show to the desert on Saturday night where she headlined a sold-out show for more than 55,000 fans at the Stagecoach Festival. On her performance the Los Angeles Times said, “The sassy Texas singer-songwriter headlined on Saturday with a performance that firmly demonstrated why she’s become a full-blown star. All the elements are clicking for her: fresh and insightful songwriting, commanding stage presence and a wonderfully distinctive voice, all working together in service of celebrating and empowering the predominantly female crowd that makes up country’s core audience.”
During her set, Miranda welcomed Ashley Monroe and Angaleena Presley, a.k.a, the Pistol Annies to the stage for a few songs from their critically acclaimed album, Heel On Heels. Of the trio, The Orange County Register said, “Those three harmonize like few female voices before them in modern country history; Like the early Dixie Chicks, the Annies are as authentic in their portraits of everyday women and the bastards who do 'em wrong, and their tunes are catchy as all-get-out…”
The “On Fire” Tour with Chris Young, Jerrod Niemann and some special guest appearances from the Pistol Annies resumes in mid-May with a stop in Nashville, TN on May 19 for a sold- out show at the Bridgestone Arena. The tour has played to 25 sold-out venues this year. Miranda’s show includes songs from all four of her #1 albums including her latest, Four The Record and her top 5 single, “Over You,” which she wrote with her husband Blake Shelton.

Kenny RogersNASHVILLE, Tenn., April 30, 2012 – For a universally beloved artist who has sold more than 120 million albums and has been a star of the stage and screen, you’d think Kenny Rogers has already done it all.  Yet somehow 2012 is shaping up to be one of the busiest and most rewarding years of his legendary career.

Kenny Rogers is currently putting the finishing touches on his first autobiography, scheduled for a fall 2012 release by HarperCollins. Jam-packed with fascinating stories from life on and off the stage, it’s bound to be one of the most talked about books this year.

“I have to admit I've had an incredible life,” Rogers commented.“Once I started actually recalling some of the special moments, I was shocked as to how much fun it was for me.  I would hope that as you read this book, you get a sense of where I came from, who I am, and where I’m going.”

Next Monday and Tuesday, Rogers will bring his signature soulful voice, his catalog of hits and all of those stories when he takes the Ford Theater stage as the Country Music Hall of Fame® and Museum’s 2012 Artist-in-Residence in Nashville.  Rogers will present two intimate evening performances on May 9th and 10th at 7:00 p.m. Both shows are already SOLD OUT.

Just last week it was announced that Kenny Rogers had joined the lineup for this year’s edition of the Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival (June 7th-10th).  Kenny will also perform at this year’s CMA Music Festival in Nashville on June 9th.

Kenny’s fans down under will get the opportunity to see him live with the addition of new tour dates in New Zealand and Australia.  Beginning on August 10th in Addington, New Zealand, Kenny Rogers and his band will make ten appearances on his first tour of the area since January and February of last year.  Tickets for Kenny’s performances in Darwin, Australia on August 18th and Gympie, Australia on August 26th are on sale now.  Many of the remaining shows on the tour are scheduled to go on sale May 7th.

Kenny’s most recent release, his first gospel album, The Love of God, became his 21st Top 10 country album here in North America.  The critically acclaimed album will be re-released under the new name Faith by Wrasse Records in Europe digitally on May 14th and in stores on May 28th.

Kenny is also carving out time this year to begin recording a brand new studio album with producer Dann Huff (Carrie Underwood, Keith Urban).  Huff previously worked with Kenny on 2006’s Water & Bridges.

And if all of that wasn’t enough, fans can count on seeing Kenny Rogers embarking on the 31st Anniversary of his Christmas & Hits Tour this winter.  As always the festive show will feature live performances of holiday classics as well as his biggest hits.

Rogers has sold more than 120 million records worldwide and recorded more than 65 albums during his storied 54 years in show business. His long list of timeless classics includes an impressive 24 #1 hits – “The Gambler,” “Lady,” “Lucille,” “Coward Of The County,” “She Believes in Me,” “Islands in the Stream” (with Dolly Parton) and “Every Time Two Fools Collide” (with Dottie West) among them. His Greatest Hits album has sold over 24 million copies worldwide to date. He is the RIAA’s 8th best-selling male artist of all time with one Diamond album, 19 Platinum albums and 31 Gold albums.

Kenny Rogers is the singer, the photographer, the producer, the actor, the songwriter, and of course…The Gambler.

Country Music loses one of the true legends from the past.  Kenny Roberts, my friend for many years, passed away earlier today at the age of 85.  He had been in failing health for the past several years.  Thanks to Gordy Brown for notifying me of this sad loss in our music industry.

I toured with Kenny on many occasions.  I consider him a super entertainer, and no doubt one of the great pioneers of yodeling, and country music.  He was a great and wonderful man, a true country music legend.  I wish that there was a way for each of us to send our condolences to his family.  I do not know his family, but I do know that they also need our thoughts and prayers as they go through this sad time of their lives with the loss of Kenny.

Please go to google and enter Higgins-Oconner Funeral Home in Athol, Mass., and probably later today Kenny’s name might be listed and hopefully there will be a section to send our condolences to the family.

4/30/2012 - Kenny Roberts, 85, King of the Yodelers, died in Athol, Mass. early today. He will be waked at the Higgins-Oconner Funeral Home in Athol, Mass. from 6-8 PM on Thursday.

Internment will be in the Winchindon Veterans Cemetary on Friday at 10 AM.

Kenny Roberts, born October 14, 1927.  Kenny’s career took a road that we will find as we go along here. He was born in Lenox City, Tennessee but grew up in Mass.

In mid-1949, Kenny signed a recording contract with Coral Records, a division of the Decca record label. His first release was an immediate smash and a Million Seller, a tune called "I Never See Maggie Alone". The song was actually written in published back in 1926 and Kenny did a modern rendition of it that obviously got the listeners attention. And he followed that hit recording up with tunes such as "River of Tears", "I've Got The Blues", "Yodel Polka" and "Hillbilly Style". Probably best known for "She Taught Me How To Yodel"  http://youtube/Q8SX1xI5fak

He started in music at an early age. When he was just eleven years old, he organized a band that was made up entirely of young harmonica players. Around that time, he started to take up guitar playing. Later on, he learned the bass fiddle and violin, too.

When he was just 16, he broke in to the radio business in a band with Yodelin' Slim Clark, in Springfield, Mass. He won out over 38 other contestants for the title of "Eastern States Yodeling Champion". Yodeling would become one of his trademarks. He was a Navy Veteran of WWII.

Kenny RobertsKenny received many awards for his talents over the years not the least of which was the Mass. CMA Hall of Fame in 1985 and more recently, the Conn. CMA Hall of Fame. He was not only a good singer, who made good records, but he was a good entertainer when he got in front of the audiences. He was booked at shows at such venues as amusement parks in Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana, Pennsylvania, the New England area, Illinois, Missouri and many southern states. And from those appearances, he would get many return engagements. He appeared on the Grand Ole Opry, had a children's show on TV in the mid-West and a star in the Walkway of Stars in Nashville.

Tim Dugger set to perform at Talladega Superspeedway & Prelude to the Dream

Tim Dugger set to perform at Talladega Superspeedway
& Prelude to the Dream

TALLADEGA, Ala. – (April 30, 2012) – Curb recording artist Tim Dugger (@Tim_Dugger) has been chosen to sing the national anthem at this year’s “Prelude to the Dream” on Wednesday, June 6 at Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, Ohio. The all-star dirt Late Model race will feature more than 25 world renowned drivers as they battle for dirt supremacy on the half-mile clay oval track.
“I’m honored to be chosen to sing the national anthem again at this event,” said Dugger, who sang the national anthem for the 2010 Prelude to the Dream. “This is an opportunity for the stars and fans of kinds of motorsports to come together to raise money for this wonderful cause.”

Dugger’s racing connections run deep. Touring clubs along the NASCAR circuit for years, he has amassed a loyal following of race fans, drivers, and crew chiefs – even his video for “Sunday Drive” features 2010 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series champion Austin Dillon of Richard Childress Racing.
Dugger has also been added to the lineup for the May 5 Aaron’s Dream Weekend infield concert at Talladega Superspeedway, along with Rodney Atkins.

“Bringing in a talented and down-to-earth singer-songwriter like Tim Dugger to open up for an award-winning country star like Rodney Atkins gives the Aaron’s Dream Weekend a high-powered concert you’d pay big money to see anywhere else,” said Talladega Superspeedway Chairman Grant Lynch. “The loyal fans of Talladega Superspeedway and NASCAR deserve to be entertained in the biggest way, and we feel like we’ve done that this year.”

Dugger will play from 7-8 p.m. CDT on Saturday, May 5, and will be followed by Rodney Atkins at 8:30 p.m.  Entry into the infield concert requires either a race ticket for the May 6 Aaron’s 499 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race or infield admission. Both can be purchased at www.talladegasuperspeedway.com or 1-877-Go2-DEGA.

Dugger says he writes music that “almost all can relate to,” as evidenced by his latest single, “Way Past My Beer Time” and his upcoming single, “God For A Day” both of which are now available on iTunes. For more information regarding Dugger, please visit www.timdugger.com
