Dierks Bentley, Kix Brooks, Sara Evans, Miranda Lambert, Blake Shelton, Dwight Yoakam And More To Converge For Three-Day Camping Festival

Nashville, TN- April 27, 2012- Live Nation Entertainment and ACM Promoter of the Year Brian O’Connell are leading the charge for a new country festival where the music and atmosphere will rival the serene, natural beauty of the landscape.  Watershed Music Festival will take place August 3, 4 and 5 at the iconic Gorge Amphitheatre and is set to feature a versatile lineup of artists, camping, late night sets, impromptu jam sessions, collaborations and more.  Located east of Seattle, the Gorge Amphitheatre provides a picturesque backdrop for the laid back, country vibe O’Connell has envisioned for this truly unmatched festival.  Three-day festival passes start at only $90 and go on sale Sat., May 5 at and

“The Gorge provides a feeling that is impossible to recreate anywhere else,” said O’Connell.  “It is truly a magical place and provides the perfect setting for a cool, eclectic country event.  We wanted to create something that didn’t exist, from the caliber of artists to the camping and the atmosphere.  I’m excited to be a part of it and see it all come together.”

"In the storied 25 year history of The Gorge, we've been fortunate to host many of the nation's top country artists, but all have been single day concerts,” said Jeff Trisler, President of Live Nation Seattle.  “For years, we've wanted to host a multiple day country festival that builds on the tremendous success for our annual Sasquatch Music Festival and Dave Matthews Band residency.  We believe this event will bring that same sort of excitement and energy to The Gorge for an entirely new group of music fans."

Artists confirmed for the multi-day country fest include Dierks Bentley, Kix Brooks, Sara Evans, Brantley Gilbert, Miranda Lambert, Blake Shelton, Thompson Square, Uncle Kracker, Dwight Yoakam, Tracy Lawrence, Reckless Kelly, The Lost Trailers, Steve Holy, Johnny Reid, Jon Pardi, Thomas Rhett, Morgan Frazier, DeeJay Silver and a local stage will feature regional acts each night.   More artists are set to be announced in the coming weeks.

The Gorge Amphitheatre, located in George, Wash., is undoubtedly one of the most scenic concert venues in the world and offers sweeping views of the Columbia River Gorge.  The area itself is a watershed for the Columbia River, thus inspiring the name of the event.  The Watershed Music Festival will feature a limited capacity of 25,000 and will offer lawn terrace seating and premiere camping options.  The amphitheatre has been the home of many historic concerts from bands such as Pearl Jam, Dave Matthews Band, Phish, Van Halen, Rush, Radiohead, Tim McGraw, Aerosmith, Metallica, Rascal Flatts, John Mayer, The Police, Brad Paisley, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers and the annual Sasquatch! Music Festival.

Nashville and is produced by long-time producer and friend, Keith Stegall.  Jackson’s current single from the album is "So You Don’t Have To Love Me Anymore.”
When asked about the unique album title Jackson responds, “There’s this highway that’s been in existence for forever now – it’s called the Dixie Highway and it runs from north of
Michigan all the way down to South Florida, and I wrote a song about it that’s on the album. I grew up on Highway 34 outside of Newnan, Georgia, and that’s where we came up
with Thirty Miles West. I think we were about thirty miles west of the official part of the Dixie Highway that runs through Georgia.”
 About Alan Jackson
Alan Jackson is one of the most successful and respected singer-songwriters in music.  He is in the elite company of Paul McCartney and John Lennon among songwriters who’ve written more than 20 songs that they’ve recorded and taken to the top of the charts.  Jackson is one of the 10 best-selling artists since the inception of SoundScan, ranking alongside the likes of Eminem and Metallica.Jackson has sold nearly 60 million albums worldwide, topped the country singles charts 35 times, and scored more than 50 Top-10 hits.  He has written or co-written 25 of his 35 No.1 hit singles.  Jackson is a 17-time ACM Award winner, a 16-time CMA Award recipient, and a two-time Grammy-winning artist whose songwriting has earned him the prestigious ASCAP Founders Award and an induction into the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame as a 2011 Songwriter/Artist inductee.

Garth Brooks has been added to the Country Music Hall of Fame.
The 'Friends in Low Places' star - who has sold over 128 million albums is one of three musicians to be added to the hall in Nashville, Tennessee, this year, alongside  Hargus 'Pig' Robbins and Connie Smith. Receiving his induction on Tuesday March 6th. Garth said: ''This is a day of joy and a day of honour. I still can't believe it.Garth added he felt a little ''guilty'' of being inducted to the Hall before some of his influences, such as Randy Travis and the late Keith Whitley. He said: ''There are so many deserving artists that came before me who are yet to be inducted. I am astounded and honoured to be in the Country Music Hall of Fame.'' Hargus 'Pig' Robbins became blind aged four but went on to become one of the most accomplished session pianists and keyboardists in country history, playing on tracks by artists including Patsy Cline, Roy Orbison, Reba McEntire and Kenny Rogers. Connie Smith became the first female artist to hit number one with a debut single in the US and was once named by Dolly Parton as one of the three best singers in the world. Garth Brooks is credited with modernising the country genre with his spectacular stage shows and tackling difficult subject matter in his songs. He was named Artist of the Decade for the 1990s by the Academy of Country Music and is one of the few country artists to enjoy worldwide success.

Featuring concerts, autograph signings, family activities, and more, CMA Music Festival is the ultimate Country Music fan experience – a four-day celebration of America’s music. Keith Urban Gives Us An Update On The Voice

Keith Urban has been spending a little time Down Under to film episodes of Australia’s version ofThe Voice. He says it’s not quite as much time as everyone thinks, though.
“The filming time ofThe Voice is quite short. The blind auditions were like 12 days, not even the whole shooting time,” says Keith. “The whole shooting time was four days, but the preparation and all that other stuff [takes more time]. We were down there for 12 days and then we flew back.” However, traveling with two little girls is a bit more complicated, especially if there are multiple flights. “When we looked at the schedule, we went 'Well, we'll go down for two weeks, and then we'll come back to Nashville for two weeks. And then we'll go back down for another two weeks.' And then we suddenly went, 'Well, this is crazy. We're never going to make it all the way to Nashville with our kids and then all the way back down to Sydney with our kids.’ So, we thought, ‘Well, what should we do? Should we just stay down there? Or what should we do?’,” recalls Keith. “And we've got a place in L.A. that we occasionally go to, and we just decided we'll go back to there, ‘cause that's one flight – Sydney-L.A. direct.”

Miranda Lambert vs. Ashton Kutcher Round 2

The stage is set for a possible show-down. Ashton Kutcher and Miranda Lambert are expected to attend the same pre-Kentucky Derby party on May 4th.
It will be the first time the two have a chance to meet in person after Kutcher’s appearance at the ACM Awards where he was decked out in a cowboy hat and western wear. He presented Lambert with the top female vocalist award. Afterward Miranda tweeted, “Was Ashton Kutcher making fun of country or is it just me?” Kutcher replied that he’s “one of the biggest country music fans” and “wasn’t making fun at all.”
Stay tuned.

Love And Theft To Perform In Upcoming Episode Of ABC's Hit Series GCB

Nashville, TN – RCA duo Love and Theft (Stephen Barker Liles and Eric Gunderson) will perform their hit single, “Angel Eyes,” during a scene in this week’s episode of ABC’s new hit drama series, GCB, starring Leslie Bibb, Kristin Chenoweth, Annie Potts, Miriam Shor, Jennifer Aspen and Marisol Nichols. Tune-in to GCB on ABC Sunday, April 29 at 10 p.m. ET.

“Performing ‘Angel Eyes’ on GCB was definitely a killer experience,” says Stephen. “I started watching the show from episode one and I really love it. I grew up a preacher’s kid so I can closely relate to a lot of the dialog. We are thrilled to be involved with such a fun new show!”
Eric says, “Being a part of GCB was a blast. The cast was so easy to work with and they made us feel right at home. It was cool to see the film side of the entertainment business and get a taste of what acting is all about.”
“Angel Eyes” is the debut single from Love and Theft’s forthcoming self-titled album being released on Tuesday, July 24. “This really feels like a new beginning for us,” says Stephen. Eric adds, “We have a new label (RCA), a new producer (Josh Leo), there are two of us now instead of three, but the core of Love and Theft is still the same. Our sound is driven by harmonies and we’re a band who writes, records and performs honest, soulful country music.”

In addition, Love and Theft are thrilled with the news of their CMT Music Awards nomination in the Duo Video of the Year category for “Angel Eyes.” Stephen says, “We are stoked to be nominated for our first CMT award! This video is really special to us because we have a lot of close ties to this video. My dad plays the preacher in the video and our family and friends are part of the bonfire scene. We couldn’t be more excited. We are truly grateful.”
