Country Couples Make Zimbio’s 100 Hottest Celeb Couples List has announced their 4th Annual list of 100 Hottest Celebrity Couples, and our very own Keith Urban and Nicole Kidman have made the cut along with Tim McGraw and Faith Hill, Carrie Underwood and Mike Fisher (no. 39), Josh Kelley and Katherine Heigl (no 47), Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert (no. 50), and LeAnn Rimes and Eddie Cibrian (no. 96).
Going beyond merely the most beautiful people, couples were ranked using an algorithm that measures and calculates popularity, attractiveness, success, and staying power. The data behind each metric is then used to determine their place on the list.

Jake Owen Is Keeping Wedding Plans Simple

Jake Owen's love life is sharing the spotlight with his career these days. The singer-songwriter surprised everyone, including his fiancée, Lacey Buchanan, by proposingduring a recent concert in his hometown of Vero Beach, Fla. But while Jake is thrilled his gorgeous gal said yes, he admits he is a bit surprised by how newsworthy their upcoming nuptials have been.
"A lot of people really wanted to know about it, how it went down. Everyone wanted an interview," the country star tells ABC News Radio. "That's all great, but I wanted to be normal for a minute. I always thought I was normal until that moment."
The 30-year-old's engagement may be celebrated by millions of fans, but he says their ceremony will have a very small guest list. "No shoes, and I'll probably just be laid back in casual clothes, and she'll be in her pretty dress. We'll have just immediate family and call it a day," he maintains.

Bo Bice Welcomes Fourth Child To Family

Bo Bice finally has a little girl to spoil. The "American Idol" alum and wife Caroline welcomed daughter Merrin Elizabeth Joy Bice on Monday (April 23). The healthy baby girl joins three big brothers: Adain (7), Caleb (3) and Ean (2).
Bo and Caroline were married in 2005, just months after he placed second on the fourth season of "Idol," just behind future country superstar Carrie Underwood. The Alabama native has released three studio albums since his run on the show, with the first certifying gold, with more than half a million copies sold.
Proud dad Bo, who has dabbled in rock and country, is now stretching his musical boundaries even further by making a Christian EP. He plans to release the project on his own record label in the coming months. "I'm really trying to bring that Black Crowes/Lenny Kravitz feel to Contemporary Christian, and I'm not trying to thump people with the Bible," he tells Billboard. "I'm just trying to spread the word about what has helped me through life."

Carrie Underwood to play her debut UK concert at the Royal Albert Hall

She's been a country music megastar since she won the fourth season of American Idol in 2005. But despite her five-time Grammy wins, her multi-platinum selling albums and being one of America's sweethearts, Carrie Underwood has not really made a huge impression across the Atlantic.
All that could change this year for the Oklahoma lass who is set to play her first concert in the UK this summer.
Carrie, 29, is set to play the Royal Albert Hall on June 21 and she said she wants to get London line-dancing. She said: 'It will be my first time with a UK audience. There needs to be a few country artists out here, to let people know what they’re missing.

LeAnn Rimes & Eddie Cibrian Celebrate 1 Year Anniversary

LeAnn Rimes and her hubby Eddie Cibrian are celebrating one year of wedded bliss. The two exchanged gifts of jewelry, a ring for her and a watch for him, enjoyed romantic meals, and stayed at the house they got married in.  The couple were even presented with a tiny replica of their wedding cake.   LeAnn has been keeping everyone abreast of the situation via twitter. I’m sure Eddie appreciates her being on her phone updating her timeline throughout their romantic weekend.
We have had the most wonderful first anniversary weekend in Malibu. We stayed at the house where we got hitched. We spent time w/ the boys, our friends and we saw our families….it was perfect and relaxing. Few more days til we go away for a lil bit, just the two of us. The first year deserves two weekends  we feel really blessed. Hope you all had a fabulous weekend yourselves.

Montgomery Gentry Recommends the Latest Trends
in Music Row Styles,
from Flavour & Manuel Couture—
Episode to Air This Thursday, April 26
Nashville, Tenn. (April 25, 2012) – ABC’s “The Revolution” made a visit to Nashville in early April to tape an upcoming episode featuring the sights and sounds of Music City. During their visit, country music duo Montgomery Gentry, who are never shy on style, played host to TV’s fashion expert Tim Gunn, taking him on a “fashionable journey” through their Nashville’s hottest clothing stores. The episode will air on Thursday, April 26 on ABC.
Troy Gentry, whose style is best described as “country chic,” introduced Gunn to Aimee Johns at Flavour for Men (1522 Demonbreun Street, Nashville), who guided him through the latest styles of Music Row. Flavour Clothing for Men & Women is known for its unmatched client service and for carrying a large number of creative lines from New York to Los Angeles including Hudson, AG Jeans, Theory, John Varvatos, L.A.M.B., Hale Bob, Joes Jeans and 7 for all Mankind, to name a few.  As one of the few boutiques in Nashville that will host private shopping opportunities to include in-store or in-home appointments for those who request it, Flavour is often frequented by Gentry, as well as many other country stars including such notables as Carrie Underwood, Luke Bryan, Blake Shelton, Reba McEntire, Kellie Pickler and more. For more information on Flavour, please visit or call 615-254-2064.
After visiting Flavour, Eddie Montgomery, whose style can best be described as “traditional,” introduced Gunn to Morelia Ceuvas, daughter of famed costumer and artist, Manuel. Often referred to as the “Rhinestone Rembrandt,” Manuel (whose signature showroom is located at 1922 Broadway in Nashville), is known for making Johnny Cash the “man in black,” Elvis’ signature gold lamé suit, the garments Bob Dylan wore when performing for the Pope, and countless other stars including (but not limited to) members of The Rat Pack, Roy Rogers and the Lone Ranger. His work within the entertainment industry is world-renowned and received special recognition by the Country Music Association. The shop, Manuel American Designs, also known as Manuel Exclusive Clothier or simply Manuel’s, is a staple not only of Nashville but of Americana history. David Frizzell Remembers Dick Clark

David Frizzell Remembers Dick Clark

“One of the greatest people I’ve ever been around.”

4x6REV.jpgNashville, TN --- Multi-award winning singer/songwriter David Frizzell fondly remembers working with the late, great Dick Clark. Frizzell made appearances on American Bandstand, New Year’s Rockin’ Eve and many other shows produced by the entertainment icon.

“Dick Clark was one of the greatest people I have ever been around,” Frizzell recalls. “He always had a warm smile on his face and was so genuinely sociable.”

The country music legend recalls Clark as a consummate professional who loved his work and surrounded himself with a like-minded people.

“His whole team was comprised of the most efficient people I’ve ever worked with,” Frizzell notes. “Dick Clark surrounded himself with professionals who knew exactly what he wanted and did it right the first time. I never worked with anyone who had it more together than he did.”

It was during the Dick Clark produced 17th annual Academy of Country Music Awards in 1982 that Frizzell and his then duet partner Shelly West were awarded just one of their ACM awards for Top Vocal Duet. With Frizzell in Hollywood, West accepted the award by satellite from her hospital room in Nashville where she had just given birth to daughter, Tess. Clark looked on as Frizzell and others onstage in Hollywood attempted to shield Shelly’s mother Dottie West from seeing the baby on the screen. The family wanted Dottie to meet her new granddaughter in person.

Clark died on April 18 after suffering a heart attack following prostate surgery. The radio and television personality had previously suffered a stroke and had Type 2 diabetes.

David Frizzell is currently touring in support of his latest single, “Say Hello To Heaven,” which is being used to raise awareness for Mothers Against Drunk Driving (madd). The Frizzell family lost David’s niece in a car accident with a drunk driver in 1998. Additionally, his book “I Love You A Thousand Ways: The Lefty Frizzell Story” was named one of the Top Music Book of the year by CMT and has been nominated for the Award for Excellence in Recorded Sound Research by the Association for Recorded Sound Collections (ARSC).

David Frizzell is one of the greatest voices in country music with a haunting resemblance to his older brother, the ultimate stylist, Lefty Frizzell, with whom he toured as a teenager. By his 18th birthday, Frizzell was recording for Columbia Records.
He enjoyed success with “L.A. International Airport” and a Top 40 rendition of “I Just Can’t Help Believing.” Frizzell headlined in Las Vegas, paving the way for other country acts in the city.

In the early 1980s, Frizzell founded the musical duo of Frizzell & West with Shelly West, daughter of country superstar Dottie West. Their recording of “You’re The Reason God Made Oklahoma” made its way to Clint Eastwood, who insisted on adding the tune to the soundtrack of his forthcoming film, Any Which Way You Can. This duo signed with Warner Bros. which released the song as a single and it became a smash hit.

Frizzell & West remains one of the most-awarded acts in entertainment; winning the Country Music Association’s Vocal Duo of the Year award, twice winning the Academy of Country Music award for Vocal Duet of the Year and winning the ACM Song of the Year award. They also received the Music City News Award for Duet of the Year twice and Song of the Year as well.

During his duet years with West, Frizzell continued a vibrant solo career. He scored a huge chart-topping hit with “I’m Gonna Hire A Wino To Decorate Our Home.” The record is a country music standard, and has been featured on CMT’s 40 Greatest Drinking Songs in Country Music, making #17 in the countdown. Also, making #6 in CMT’s countdown of the 100 Greatest Duets is “You're The Reason God Made Oklahoma.”

Frizzell has won numerous performing and recording trophies from the Academy of Country Music, Billboard and Music City News. He has been nominated for three Grammys, both as part of Frizzell & West and as a solo artist.

As producer of the popular Frizzell & Friends series of projects, David brings together some of the top performers in the business for both live and recorded projects.

In 2011, David released his long awaited book, a tribute to the life and career of Lefty Frizzell. “I Love You A Thousand Ways: The Lefty Frizzell Story” chronicles the turbulent life and career of one of America’s most influential voices.

David has teamed up with m.a.d.d. (Mothers Against Drunk Driving) to raise awareness of the organization through his moving song, “Say Hello To Heaven.”

Einlass ab ca. 17.30 Uhr - Konzertbeginn ca. 18.15 Uhr - Eintritt 14,00 Euro / ermäßigt 12,00 Euro
Reservierungen gerne!

Lisa Nemzo Writes "Anthem for Our Generation"

Lisa Nemzo Writes "Anthem for Our Generation," Inspired by True Story of a Fallen Hero

The songwriter's stirring "Arlington" addresses the plight of fallen and injured soldiers

Lisa Nemzo perf

Nashville, TN (April 24, 2012) - "We need to take care of our heroes and the families of the fallen," said hit songwriter Lisa Nemzo, who transformed her sorrow for the plight of American servicemen and women into action by writing and recording a stunning song in their honor, "Arlington."

Nemzo, long beloved as one of Los Angeles' most revered singer-songwriters as well as an accomplished producer, is shining a light on an aspect of American life often kept hidden: the tragedy of the military returning from war injured and suffering from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), something Nemzo has experienced herself.

Nemzo's Dream Wild Productions has produced a music video to accompany the song, directed by Mary Ann Skweres, designed to encourage donations to two organizations of Nemzo's choosing that serve the military and their families: The Global Stress Initiative and The David Lynch Foundation's Operation Warrior Wellness.

Co-written with the late poet Artie Colatrella, "Arlington" is a remarkable song for many reasons, not the least of which is that it portrays the genuine aftermath of war, and the real and lasting impact it leaves on the lives of so many. It shows us both the American families forced to endure the loss of their sons and daughters sent overseas to defend our country, and also the vets who return to this country injured both physically and psychologically by war, suffering from symptoms of PTSD.

"Post Traumatic Stress is no joke," said Nemzo. "I suffered from night terrors and a myriad of other symptoms for 25 years after a childhood traumatic accident. Learning to meditate and having music was my only relief--otherwise I'd be in jail or dead. It is a very real, tragic problem. Eighteen servicemen commit suicide every day after returning home. Something needs to be done."

The music video of "Arlington" is garnering much attention and praise, winning the Best Merit Award 2012 for Best Music Video at the Accolade Film Festival in La Jolla, California. Inspired by the real life story of Private First Class Michael Arciola who died in Iraq on February 5, 2005, it takes the viewer on a visual and auditory journey, as Arciola's mother, played poignantly by Nemzo, takes the long trek from her home to Arlington National Cemetery.

Originally from Newport, RI, Lisa Nemzo is known as a musician's musician and for her show-stopping, over-the-neck harmonic 12-string guitar solos. Nemzo recorded three albums for Polygram/Metronome and five independent released CDs all of her own material, and has written countless hits, including "Walking on Ice," "I Don't Wanna' Fool With Love," "Hard for a Girl Like Me"(Europe) and "Hot Summer Nights," all of which she recorded. "Stayin' With It," written by Tom Snow, was a hit duet with Rick Roberts/Firefall, and a duet, "Feel The Night" with Baxter Robertson, featured in Karate Kid. Lisa has also written several songs that have been hits for other artists, including "Stone Mason" for Harvey Mason and Lee Ritenour, as well as "Short Cut" for Tanya Tucker. "Restless Soul," the title song of her album of the same name, was featured on the Volume 8 Fast Folk CD and was entered into the Smithsonian Institute representing the best of folk music from the 1990s. Her most recent album is the critically-acclaimed Unlock My Heart (Dream Wild Records), a renaissance of romantically-edged tunes sparked by Nemzo's enduring and infectious melodicism. The lead single and video "Reach" won Best Environmental Music Video of 2009 from Green Screen Environmental Film Festival & Salon. She has toured with a succession of legends, including Bonnie Raitt, Heart, Ray Charles, Hall and Oates, Cliff Richards, David Crosby, Joe Cocker, Christopher Cross and Firefall. Recently she produced the much heralded Bitter & Sweet CD for Marc & The Plattitudes.

Barry Michael Returns from Armed Forces Tour to Join the Ground Breaking

Country Singer Barry Michael Returns from Armed Forces Tour to Join the Ground Breaking Ceremony for Iraq/Afghanistan Chapel and Remembrance Wall
Barry Michael, the Peach State breakthrough country performer, joins veterans and the general public on Wednesday, April 25th at the ground breaking ceremony for the Independence Chapel and Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans Remembrance Wall in Beaufort, SC.  Beginning at 5 PM, Barry will take the stage after the ground breaking and guests will be invited to enjoy a barbecue buffet and a free screening of the critically acclaimed film Rebirth.
“I can’t say how influential and impactful this trip was for me,” says Barry.  “Being a guest alongside General Chuck Yeager on the Armed Forces tour was an unprecedented honor.  I am very fortunate that we were able to return early enough that I could be a part of this ceremony.”
The ground breaking ceremony is part of the Healing Heroes Golf Week ( in which more than two dozen severely injured veterans from the Global War on Terror will be honored as guests at the Palm Key Retreat April 23-27. The event is hosted by the Independence Fund, an all volunteer combat veteran run non-profit, and the Palm Key Development. According to the Independence Fund's Chief Operating Officer, Captain James Howard, USA (ret.) the proposed site of the chapel and Remembrance Wall could not be more ideal.  "Not only does the natural beauty of the setting lend itself to a sense of peace and calm that visitors, and visiting veterans in particular, will find healing, but the physical location is less than five miles off of Interstate 95 at a geographic location that is exactly mid way between New York City and Miami Beach. It will make this Low Country fixture a natural stop for any veteran traveling up or down the Eastern Seaboard."
To date, the Independence Fund, a 501(c) 3 organization authorized to operate in the State of South Carolina, has raised and distributed more than $1.75 million in goods and services to some of the most severely injured veterans from the War on Terror.
About Barry Michael:
Barry has been an active supporter of the military throughout his career with performances and visits at bases across the globe and continuously reaching out to organizations that raise moral and offer services specific to the needs of soldiers and their families.  He released a track “Heroes & Angels” as a Veterans Day tribute which rose to the Top 5 Country Downloads on PlayMPE the day it was released.  Today Barry is climbing the charts with a back roads anthem “Uncountrify Me.” An ode to all things country, the single speaks to the boot-wearing sensibility in all of us. Barry sings in his charming southern drawl, “I am who I am and that’s all I can be,” and goes on to note that as a boy raised in the outskirts of Atlanta, he grew up knowing city life, but once he experienced the simplicity of the country, there was no going back for this urban cowboy. After perusing through fields of creative outlets, Barry found his foundation in music when he signed with Stockbridge Records who released his debut album, Ripped Blue Jeans and ATVs featuring the current single. He has had the privilege of performing at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas in addition to opening up for country hit-makers such as Tim McGraw, The Band Perry, Craig Morgan, Kellie Pickler and John Michael Montgomery.
