Beaumont, TX -- Miranda Lambert, the reigning 3-time ACM Female Vocalist of the Year, is headed home to Texas, to headline the 5th Annual Cause for the Paws concert benefitting Miranda’s own MuttNation Foundation. On Friday, June 22nd, Miranda takes the stage at Ford Park in Beaumont, TX, joined by special guests Wade Bowen and The Josh Abbott Band. Tickets go on-sale Friday, April 27th at 10am and are available at the Ford Park Box Office, online at www.ticketmaster.com and by phone at 800-745-3000.
Miranda’s love of animals led to the formation of MuttNation. The
foundation has successfully raised money across the country aiding
organizations and governmental institutions or entities whose purpose is
to build animal shelters for better care; increase pet adoption and
encourage responsible pet guardianship; rehabilitate sick or
unsocialized animals; fund spay/neuter programs; reduce/eliminate
euthanasia of healthy animals; and train shelter dogs for purposes of
therapy programs, assistance for wounded military personnel and
We are so excited about the next chapter in our lives at MuttNation
Foundation in aiding and assisting animals in need,” said Miranda’s
manager Marion Kraft. “After four years in East Texas we found ourselves
in need of hosting the benefit concert in a bigger venue. Beaumont,
Texas reached out with open arms to help us with our mission. Aside from
music, this is Miranda's biggest passion in life and those of you who
can attend the show are sure to have a time you won't forget! Also,
remember that every penny of profit from the benefit goes into the fund
that helps us accomplish our mission, to end animal suffering and
Joining Miranda at this year’s Cause for the Paws are Texas
favorites, Wade Bowen and The Josh Abbott Band. Thirteen years after
launching his career at Stubbs Barbecue in Lubbock, TX, Wade Bowen’s is
set to release music from his major label debut on May 29. With nine
No.1’s on the Texas Music Chart, multiple awards, including 2009 Texas
Music Awards Male Vocalist of the Year and the 2010 Lone Star Music
Awards Live Act of the Year, three studio albums and a Live At Billy
Bobs CD/DVD combo at the iconic club in Fort Worth under his belt.
After getting their start at the Blue Light Live, a downtown club on
Buddy Holly Avenue, the Lubbock favorites are awaiting the release of
their 3rd CD. The Josh Abbott Band has quickly become a Texas
institution, selling out many of its shows in the region-and why its
talents can't be confined for long to the Lonestar State. "The most
important idea that I write songs with is that they're
autobiographical," Abbott says. "Nearly every song I write is a true
story of mine, or of someone I know. "That truthfulness breeds passion
for the material. And that passion comes through in the performances,
both in the recording studio and on stage.
“I’m thrilled to say that in the past four years we have been able to
contribute over $700,000 dollars to abused, abandoned, neglected or
unwanted animals,” said Bev Lambert, the Director of MuttNation. “We
plan on doing even more outreach in 2012. One exciting partnership that
we have entered into in this past year is with the Red Star Emergency
Relief Service to assist in disaster relief for animals displaced or
abandoned as well as the rebuilding of shelters harmed or destroyed. The
most exciting thing is that we are partnering with them to bring home
our military service dogs from the recent war relief. The service
animals are currently being retrained to provide service to the wounded
warriors and as therapy pets for their families.”
This year’s Cause for the Paws, benefitting Miranda Lambert’s
MuttNation Foundation will take place Friday, June 22nd at Ford Park in
Beaumont, TX. Tickets start at $26.75 and are available at the Ford
Park Box Office, online at www.Ticketmaster.com , and by phone at 800-745-3000. Donations can also be made at www.muttnationfoundation.com

CHUCK HANCOCK MAKES SPECIAL APPEARANCE
WITH RAY PRICE & GENE WATSON
A PREVIEW OF HIS NEW CD
(Nashville, TN-4.19.12) Chuck Hancock will be a part of an historic show with Ray Price and Gene Watson on May 20th, 2012 at The American Music Theatre in Lancaster, PA for one (1) show at 3PM-EST. He will be a part of the first appearance of Ray and Gene together for the first time in their careers. Chuck will be previewing his new single release, and also songs from his new CD project. This is a special time of Chuck’s career, to be a part of this super show.
Chuck has just completed his new studio project. He is releasing a new single to Country and Inspirational Radio, and since I have heard most of the songs that Chuck has written for his new Country CD, I just want to update DJ’s, media, and all of his fans, to let them know that Chuck Hancock has written some super hit songs and the CD will be the next step on the ladder of success for Chuck’s career.
The title of his new self-penned masterpiece is “The Don’t Stay Little Long Enough.” When you hear the song for the first time, you will travel back in time to when your children were babies, through the years of growing up, and finally when they spread their wings and leave home. You will feel the emotion that Chuck has written into this very special song, and the only number to put with this song, is #1 at the top of the charts.

He was diagnosed in 1998. Helm was the son of an Arkansas cotton farmer. The Band started out as Bob Dylan's backup group. Helm played drums and sang on classic rock songs like "The Night They Drove Old Dixie Down," "The Weight" and "Up on Cripple Creek." He was 71.

BILLY DEAN RESCUES PROTECTED GREAT BLUE HERON WHILE VACATIONING ON THE GULF COAST
Nashville, Tenn. (April 19, 2012) - Last week while vacationing on the Gulf Coast, country music star Billy Dean rescued a Great Blue Heron, a protected species, from an abandoned fishing line and lures. The bird was trapped in a fisherman’s line, leaving it immobilized with multiple lures in its wings.
Dean had just finished a three day concert series at his farm and was spending time with family members on the coast. Dean and his wife Stephanie were walking along Mexico Beach when they noticed a group of teenagers in deep water, attempting to cover the injured bird with a towel and bring it to shore. Dean went out to the group of high school students and with the bird biting his hands, grabbed it by its feet and carried it out of the water.
“The bird was live but had several cuts and was clearly distressed," says Dean. "A fisherman must have cut the line but it was hard to determine how long it had been trapped. Though we did get the bird to safety, I did end up with a nice gash on my pickin' finger... those Blue Heron bites aren't pretty."
Dean was proud of the young students who went out to rescue the bird. “The girls of Port St. Joe High School and a few other vacationers were the true heroes but I was fortunate to have been there to help them untangle the bird and bring it to shore,” he notes.
Dean and his wife called the local wildlife management who took the protected species to treat its multiple wounds and rehabilitate it back to health before releasing it back into the wild.
