Nashville, TN...(January 18, 2012)...Only a month after making his national TV debut, CRAIG CAMPBELL will again return to the national airwaves to perform his latest hit single, “When I Get It,” during Fox News Channel’s HUCKABEE. The relatable, light-hearted anthem for the common man can be heard this Sunday, January 22, at 8pm and 11pm ET on Huckabee (Fox News Channel).

Craig Campbell’s latest single, “When I Get It,” co-written by Campbell with Jason Matthews and Jim McCormick, is described by Music Row as an “extremely likeable, hard-times, sing-along tune.” The inventive new music video, which was shot by director Wes Edwards in one continuous take, depicts Campbell’s belongings being repossessed by movers played by his true-life band members.

ABOUT CRAIG CAMPBELL: After moving from his hometown of Lyons, Georgia to Nashville in 2002 to pursue his country music dreams, American Country Awards nominee Craig Campbell quickly picked up work as a keyboardist in Luke Bryan and Tracy Byrd’s bands and was later discovered playing a regular gig at legendary Nashville honky-tonk, The Stage. The singer-songwriter has earned well-deserved praise from the country’s toughest critics for his self-titled debut album, which released in April of 2011. Campbell’s autobiographical lead single, “Family Man” was a top 15 hit followed by “Fish” which has sold a quarter of a million downloads. 2012 Unveils New Management Team, New Career Vision for Legendary Superstar
Randy TravisNashville, Tennessee – (January 18, 2012) — Country Music Superstar Randy Travis is emphasizing the ‘new’ in the New Year unfolding.
Under a just announced new management team, the career reins of the multi-platinum awarded Randy Travis, who ranks as one of country music’s top-selling artists of all time, are being guided by Ken Levitan, of Vector Management, and Jeff Davis, of SUM Management.  Levitan is the high-profile management force behind some of the top names in the industry, as diverse as Hank Williams, Jr., Lynyrd Skynyrd, The Fray, Trace Adkins, Emmylou Harris, and Kings of Leon, to mention just a few.
Levitan is creatively aligning with Davis, whose working association with Travis spans over 24 years, to form a major affiliate for development of Travis’ ongoing successful career interests.  Levitan’s and Davis’ new direction for Travis will continue to be supported by CAA, where Marc Dennis acts as responsible agent for scheduling Travis’ bookings and live performances.
Randy Travis moves into 2012 with renewed career momentum.
2011 marked the official beginning of Randy’s 25th year in the industry, with the Warner Bros. Records release of his “Anniversary Celebration” CD on June 7 that gives a panoramic view of what a quarter century of iconic success in country music looks like, and sounds like.  1986 ignited the-then 27 year old artist’s career and reached mass market heights, with the single release of his breakthrough smash, “On The Other Hand”.  The single pinnacled to become the first of 18 #1 hits for Travis.
“Storms of Life”, the debut album that followed, reached triple platinum, laying the foundation for the 20+ million lifetime sales of Travis’ incredible music career.  In the midst of becoming a humble phenomena, Travis is credited with being the creative cornerstone of the ‘new traditionalist’ movement that emerged from his influence—a late 80’s, early 90’s wave that swept in a flood of new artists influenced by Travis such as Kenny Chesney, Alan Jackson, Tim McGraw and Brad Paisley.
In addition to guest tracks from the aforementioned ‘new artists’ he influenced, the star-studded cast of collaborators, on “Anniversary Celebration”, included a virtual who’s who of Nashville’s current hit-makers and legends.  In May 2011, Cracker Barrel Old Country Store released their own 11-track tribute to Travis, with a much-anticipated “Greatest Hits” package, which benefitted the national Wounded Warriors Project.
In the wings of 2012, there will be an immediate and aggressive emphasis placed on the visibility of Travis across multiple media formats.  Announcements of several major new career initiatives will be forthcoming from Levitan and Davis.
About Randy Travis
Warner Bros. Records has been home to Randy Travis for the majority of his recording career; and together they have accumulated lifetime sales of his music in excess of 20 million units to date.  Travis is one of the biggest record sellers in music industry history, with 18 #1 singles, 29 Top 10 chartings, certification of the rare quintuple platinum album (Always and Forever, released in 1987), one triple platinum album (Storms of Life, released in 1986), two double platinum’s (Old 8x10, released in 1988, and No Holding Back, released in 1989), eight platinum albums, and 10 gold albums.  Major industry career awards include seven GRAMMY Awards, five Country Music Association Awards (CMA), 10 Academy of Country Music Awards (ACM), 10 American Music Awards (AMA), two People’s Choice Awards, and eight Dove Awards from the Gospel Music Association.  He is a three-time recipient of CMA Award’s “Song of the Year’’ honors (On The Other Hand, Forever and Ever Amen, and Three Wooden Crosses).  Randy Travis has appearances in more than 40 feature film productions and major television projects to his credit.  In 2004, he was honored with his Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.  In the midst of every major career award and accolade, he considers his honored induction as a member of the famed Grand Ole Opry, in Nashville, in 1986, as a shining highlight of his first 25 years of legendary accomplishments.

Calls On Music Enthusiasts’ Ear To Pick A Hit!

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (January 18, 2011)—Music City Media, a prominent Music Row public relations and marketing company, is set to introduce a new business venture for the New Year. Already abuzz among entertainment execs and the songwriting community, the custom-crafted, analytical feedback vehicle, Music City Radio, will make its online presence official.

With the ultimate goal to discover “Music The Country Listens To,” Music City Radio will rely on the intuition of its FanTuition panel (a dedicated group of country music fans across the globe). Music City Radio is a panel-voted, listener-fueled research tool and portal designed to provide FanTuition-approved information to the artist and songwriter. Songcrafters and recording artists (major label and indies) can showcase their music as part of the Music City Radio three-tiered poll structure.

            “HIT OR MISS”
A "Rate the Music Poll,” the artist/songwriter submits their songs for immediate feedback. As quickly as the stars align, the FanTuition panel "picks the hit" (or the “miss”) in an up-to-the minute voting process.

The all-star HIT OR MISS track moves up to the TrackStar bout to compete against the previous top-ranking hit-hopeful. The track that maintains its No. 1 status remains in the competition until a new victor is chosen by the FanTuition panel.

In a 14-day turnaround, the “Featured Artist” will receive in-depth pole results (including highest ranking/demographic/age and gender specific information). The result information will serve as a directive for radio promotion and label staff as well as booking agents.

“Our objective is to cater to the fans as well as the artist hopefuls who hope to work their way up the charts,” Kat Atwood, Director, Music City Media states. “The fans stake a claim in the music they want to hear and they make a personal investment by casting their vote. In turn, the songwriter/recording artist is provided sound information—be it demographic, age or household income—enabling them to ‘hit’ their target audience on radio and the stage. The fans are our forum for gathering results; Music City Radio is a forum for fans to be part of the results.”

A innovative “listening measure,” Music City Radio’s FanTuition panel is a group of music enthusiasts from all over the globe who voluntarily share their passion for good music. Demonstrating their intuition, the individual panel members use their "ear" to vote for the song they feel has hit potential. Subscribing panelists have the opportunity to share their opinion of a song or recording. Combining a demographic diary of respondents as well as real-time panelists’ comments, artists will be afforded a gauge as to the reception and success potential of their next single (prior to an expensive and extensive radio promotion or tour.)

“As an added bonus, from the artists’ perspective, Music City Radio is a conduit to establish an immediate fan base, or expand an existing fan base, while driving music buyers to the ‘shopping cart.’”

Located at 38 Music Square East, 2nd Floor, Nashville, TN, Music City Media and Music City Radio are under the Music City News Media & Marketing company umbrella. For additional information, including how to “air” your song(s) on Music City Radio, please visit (click “submit”). Interested music lovers who wish to become part of the FanTuition panel are invited to register on the home page.

Matt Kennon Makes Music That Matters

Matt Kennon Makes Music That Matters
* * *
New Single "You Had To Pick On Me," Takes A Stand
Against The Current Headline Making Topic Of Bullying

LISTEN TO "You Had To Pick On Me" HERE:

NASHVILLE, TN _ January 16th, 2012 – Country rocker Matt Kennon’s 2010 Top 20 and #1 Heatseeker Billboard hit “The Call” shined a spotlight on a conversation. That conversation inspired another conversation, and another. Word spread, and soon everyone was talking about “The Call,” reaching out to one another, sharing its reaffirming message to help prevent suicide.

Here In 2012, Matt keeps the conversation going. With his new recording, “You Had to Pick On Me,” he continues the conversation in song.

“He said, ‘No one is nice to me, they laugh at me.’ He told me he didn’t have any friends.” Matt shares the tender meeting he had with a second grader named Logan. “And I said, ‘Well, you do now.’”

It was just supposed to be a lunch with his niece and his sister, at the time a teacher’s aide at the Rocky Plains Elementary School in Georgia. And there was Logan, sad and alone, a victim of bullying. Matt answered the call and reached out.

Matt extended his conversation of hope to Logan, and then to the student that was bullying Logan. And then, to the rest of us. And now it’s your turn. “You Had To Pick On Me” isn’t just another great country song with gritty vocals and an anthem-like chorus that stays with you. It’s an honest plea to stop bullying. It’s music that matters. It’s a conversation we should all join.

Matt’s new single is his stand against bullying. “It’s not fluff, it’s not fictional. People are hurting.” Matt’s enthusiasm is infectious. That’s because he truly believes together we can make a difference. “Bullying isn’t just in schools. I’ve been bullied, it goes on in the industry, it goes on in the workplace.”

And wherever the conversation leads, Matt will go. Check Matt’s website for upcoming tour information. And join in on the conversation. “Friend,” “Follow,” “Share,” “Like,” “Link,” and help spread the word. Festivals, schools, educational facilities, workplace inspirational seminars and celebrations - if there’s anywhere you want to open a dialogue through Matt’s music, do it. Contact Matt for bookings with your ideas. Fan videos, contests… there are lots of ways to get involved. Matt welcomes and encourages it. What do you have to say?

Maybe it’s because Matt Kennon’s about to become a father. Maybe it’s because there really is someone out there right now this second that desperately needs to hear this new song with this message. Maybe it’s because Matt has endured some personal challenges, just as everyone has. Logan isn’t alone; he’s one of many. That’s why it’s so important, now more than ever, to talk about it. After “The Call” Matt waited until he had something else to say, something that could continue and matter.

Bullying is cruel, and unnecessary, and unconscionable. Don’t wait until it’s too late to talk about it, before you share the message.

Oh, and Logan? “He’s doing well,” Matt sighs with relief. “He’s in 3rd grade now, yeah, he’s doing very well.”
“You Had To Pick On Me” is available for download on iTunes amongst other outlets.

“Horse With No Name,” “Ventura Highway,” “Sister Golden Hair” and “I Need You”
Songs and Video Footage Recorded During Band’s
First-Ever Performance At The Legendary Troubadour Club

America - Live At The TroubadourFairfax, VA (January 17, 2012) --- Time Life has released new, acoustic versions of the biggest and most treasured songs by iconic folk group America, recorded during their 40th anniversary year at the legendary Troubadour club in Los Angeles.  These special versions include two #1 hits, “Sister Golden Hair” and “Horse With No Name,” and two Top 10’s, “Ventura Highway”  and “I Need You,” and are now available for download in both audio and video format at all major e-tailers including iTunes, and others.

“We are thrilled to be working with America on several levels and having them record these versions of several of their hits was a great opportunity,” noted Time Life Executive Producer Mitch Peyser.  “The songs are timeless and we find that there continues to be great interest in America and their unique sound.”

The recordings were made in Los Angeles on June 9, 2010 at the world famous Troubadour club during the filming of the highly successful Time Life infomercial “Singers & Songwriters.”  Dewey Bunnell recalls, “We were here many, many nights seeing other artists and friends... JD Souther, Jackson Browne and other bands that were here.  It was quite a hangout and still is.” “But we never really hit the stage of The Troubadour,” adds Gerry Beckley, explaining the irony of being at the club so many nights, yet never performing there before. On that June afternoon, during their 40th year in the music business together, Bunnell and Beckley celebrated a career that has brought them multiple #1 and Top 10 hits, critically acclaimed albums and sold out worldwide tours by performing classic songs with that unforgettable America sound.

America’s serene folk melodies and sweetly mystical lyrics took over the pop charts in the early 1970s, garnering fans who continue to flock to their concerts.  The group won a Grammy Award, has five Top 10 albums, three #1 singles and 11 Top 40 hits.  Later this year, America will be honored with a star on the prestigious Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Zac Brown Band Meets Jack Daniel’s Brand

Zac Brown Band Meets Jack Daniel’s Brand
By Christian Bottorff
© 2012 CMA Close Up® News Service / Country Music Association®, Inc.
More than a decade since Jack Daniel’s last worked closely with a major music artist, the Lynchburg, Tenn. distillery is teaming with Zac Brown Band for a campaign that combines Southern gourmet food, the band’s genre-bending music and the pleasures of good ol’ fashioned Tennessee whiskey.
“There are so many synergies between the two,” said Dave Stang, Assistant VP, Brand Awareness, Home Place, Jack Daniel’s. “We get calls all the time: ‘Sponsor our band’ or ‘sponsor our tour.’ For years we didn’t do it, but then this fell in our lap. There is nothing phony about Lynchburg. And with Zac Brown there is nothing phony about him. It works real well.”
It all began more than four years ago when Zac Brown Band signed with ROAR management and Brown began thinking about brands he might consider as partners. One was Jack Daniel’s, so over the next two years the band made several trips to Lynchburg, while the company’s representatives saw their live shows. The band met with distillers to watch the whiskey-making process and to learn the Jack Daniel’s history and traditions.
The partnership, launched in September 2011 with sold-out concerts at Red Rocks Amphitheatre near Morrison, Colo., includes advertising, social media campaigns and promotions across the U.S. and Canada as well as a responsible drinking campaign. It has a commemorative bottle program featuring whiskey from the band’s unique barrel; proceeds support Brown’s charitable organizations. Brown has even incorporated the whiskey into his famous eat & greet events, where he offers concertgoers original culinary creations prepared by Southern Ground Executive Chef Rusty Hamlin. In addition, Jack Daniel’s is rolling with its "Lynchburg on Wheels,” a mobile Lynchburg museum of sorts that appears at the band’s select tour dates, Southern Ground Music and Food Festivals, ticket giveaways and other activities.
“There are just some brands out there that are uniquely American, that speak to all of us in a way that is hard to explain sometimes,” said Bernie Cahill, a partner at ROAR. “Jack is one of those iconic brands that exhibit all of those pillars of authenticity that are so important to consumers these days.”
Part of the appeal of Zac Brown Band is the demographic of the group’s fan base, which tends to be on the younger side of legal drinking age, according to Stang. He also sees strong similarities between the artist and “Mr. Jack,” as the brand’s now-deceased founder is known around Lynchburg.
“Jack believed in fraternity and Zac also believes in fraternity,” Stang said. “They’ve got Southern roots, and that’s the epitome of Americana. Mr. Jack and Zac are both free-spirited people. And if you look at it in their trade, they do things their own way. Zac has his standards and sticks to those standards, and certainly Jack does. What we see is what we get, and we’ll not change our ways.”

"We're planning a big party to celebrate both of these songs going No. one at radio, and now we'll be able to toast this at the same time…and then we can do it again with our fans on the tour," said Charles Kelley.  "A little downtime over the holidays has been great,  but we're about to go crazy to get this tour back up and running next week….can't wait to see everyone in Tulsa!"
