Interview with Emma Webb
Lamitschka: When is your debut CD out and how do you think people will react to it?
Emma Webb 10/01/11 – I hope people like it! I think it shows many sides of me as a singer and songwriter.
Lamitschka: Please tell us about the songs on your album (influences, etc).
Emma Webb My own style really shows through on this CD, however I am heavily influenced by Taylor Swift, Colbie Caillat and The Band Perry.
Lamitschka: What kind of songs do you like to record the most?
Emma Webb I like fun, upbeat songs that let my personality come through.
Lamitschka: What is your favorite song among all the songs you have recorded and what's the story behind it?
Emma Webb I’m very much attached to them all but I think “Frustrated.“ It was the first song that I ever wrote by myself with just the guitar. It was about my math teacher at the time and let’s just say that we didn’t see eye to eye so I wrote a song about her.
Lamitschka: Who inspires you musically?
Emma Webb Other musicians; Memphis, where I’m from, has one of the best music scenes.
Lamitschka: As an artist, you so many tasks such as recording, touring, interviews. What do you like best, what's your favorite activity?
Emma Webb I love it all.
Lamitschka: What inspired you to become an artist and songwriter?
Emma Webb My love for music did really and I feel like I can make a difference with my music.
Lamitschka: What's unique about you that will differentiate you from other artists?
Emma Webb I don’t try to be anyone else. I write about the things I know.
Lamitschka: What has been your greatest challenge in music business?
Emma Webb I Would say my age. Being 11 people have different views on what i should or shouldn‘t do.
Lamitschka: What can your fans expect to see when they see you in concert?
Emma Webb Crowd involvement. My fans are special to me and I want them to go on this journey with me.
Lamitschka: What's your favorite song that you wish you could have recorded?
Emma Webb A Place In This World by Taylor Swift. That song really describes me to a T.
Lamitschka: What message would you like to send your European fans?
Emma Webb I hope one day to tour Europe and build a fan base there.

Miranda Lambert - Baggage Claim (CD Single Review)
Label - Columbia Nashville (P) 2011 Sony Music Entertainment
Release Date - 16 August 2011
Writers - Miranda Lambert, Luke Laird and Natalie Hemby
Time - 3:10
Rating (Out of 10): 8/10
Since her May wedding the current CMA Female vocalist Miranda Lambert regarding her music has clearly not mellowed. The Texan gives her sharp tongue a lashing directed at the characters philandering lover. Lambert co-wrote it with Luke Laird (co-wrote ‘A Little Bit Stronger’ for Sara Evans and ‘Hillbilly Bone’ Blake Shelton) and Natalie Hemby (‘Only Prettier’, ‘White’ Lair’ with Miranda Lambert and co-wrote ‘Play On’ with Laird for Carrie Underwood)
Yes it is the 27 year old singer on the cover though with those cool looking large shades and a fur vest Miranda somewhat resembles celeb Paris Hilton.
The Gunpowder and Lead singer blows a fuse in the first verse. She’s had a bellyful of the trickery, deceit, empty words and the emotional “baggage” that have burdened her. With a swampy Dobro and a groovy, funky acoustic guitar riff which continues throughout Lambert spits out:
“I have been draggin’ around your sensitive ego / Making sure your bags arrive on time / For the dog and pony show / A leather suitcase like a brick / It kind of makes it hard to get a grip / I drop your troubles off at the conveyor built / I hand you a ticket to go get it yourself.”
The suitcase contents are no longer neatly packed but scattered everywhere. It’s over; her significant other is being shoved right out of her life and her home. On this bluesy affair Josh Kelly the brother of Charles from Lady Antebellum gets the call adding some restrained Joe Cocker-like back-up vocals as an angered Lambert dishes out the dirt:
At the baggage claim, you got a lot of luggage in your name, When you hit the ground, check the lost and found, 'Cause it ain't my problem now, I can't carry it on, I've got a lot of troubles on my own, It's all over the yard, in the trunk of the car, I'm packin' it in so come and get it.
Miranda leaves us in no doubt as why she’s hit the roof delivering the killer lines: “If it ain't obvious what has set me off today, Behind every woman scorned is a man who made her that way, Go on take your little business trip with that sweet little habit”
The production overall is snappy and the groove registers in the brain. It’s not forced and the sound is tight with some juicy Hammond B organ and edgy electric guitar fills and Miranda adds the right measures of grit. “It’s the grooviest song I’ve ever recorded,” Miranda said. “It makes you want revenge and want to dance all at the same time!”
The singer can do no wrong it seems these days with a #1 album with her side group trio The Pistol Annies and now this song has become her highest debuting single to date with a #33 spot and has quickly climbed the charts. It currently sits at #11 on the Hot Country Charts. The track will be cut #8 on her album FOUR THE RECORD due to be drop on November 1, 2011

DOOP & THE INSIDE OUTLAWS Release Third Album!
Get ready to hear Americana-Detroit style! Doop & The Inside Outlaws release their third album on October 8.
Doop & The Inside Outlaws hail from downriver Detroit enclave of River Rouge. The band’s first two albums - "Blood River" and “Everett Belcher” - were named after Doop’s hometown and his grandfather, respectively. They featured songs that painted an honest portrait of everyday people making their way through life.
The band’s new album, “What am I supposed to do?” continues this songwriting tradition. The title track tells the story of a hardworking family man who’s been laid off from the job he’s had since high school. It illustrates what’s going on not only in Doop’s hometown, but across America. Woven throughout the album is the question: What happens when work, love, family and life in general don’t turn out like you had hoped or planned?
Doop and the Inside Outlaws recorded the third album over the summer at Ghetto Recorders studio with engineer/producer Jim Diamond once again at the helm. Jim also played on two of the album's tracks. The 10-song album features a duet with songwriter Alison Lewis called "Not Too Late." The Inside Outlaws feature Doop Duprie-vocals/guitar, Katie Grace-bass, Pete Ballard-pedal steel/guitar and Danny Kanka- drums.
The album is available thru iTunes, CDBaby, Amazon and their website: doopandtheinsideoutlaws.com

JASON ALDEAN SELLS OUT NASHVILLE'S BRIDGESTONE ARENA
IN MINUTES THIS MORNING
NASHVILLE, TENN – Sept. 23, 2011 – 2011 CMA “Entertainer of the Year” nominee Jason Aldean sold over 15,000 tickets for his Feb. 24 "My Kinda Party" tour stop at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena in minutes this morning. Fellow Georgia native and Capitol Nashville recording artist Luke Bryan will open the date.
"It feels good to sell out any venue in any city, but to sell out your hometown is just an unbelievable feeling," says Aldean. "I can't wait to come home for this one…you can bet me and the boys in the band will be ready to go that night!"
Of last week's stop in Cleveland, Chuck Yarborough at the Cleveland Plain Dealer commented, "Aldean brings an energy to the stage that country hasn't seen since the early days of Garth Brooks. …Like Brooks, Aldean is able to meld that energy with memorable, hook-driven songs, delivered on time, in key and with passion."
Aldean is tied for the most nominations at the Nov. CMA Awards with five nods in the categories of “Entertainer of the Year”, “Male Vocalist of the Year,” “Album of the Year” for MY KINDA PARTY and “Single of the Year“ and “Musical Event of the Year” for “Don’t You Wanna Stay” feat. Kelly Clarkson.
The fourth single off his DOUBLE PLATINUM album MY KINDA PARTY, “Tattoos on This Town” is currently climbing up the country charts. For more information, visit www.jasonaldean.com.

CHICKENFOOT ANNOUNCE “THE 2011 ROAD TEST TOUR” IN SUPPORT OF CHICKENFOOT III DUE SEPTEMBER 27TH FROM eONE MUSIC and earMUSIC/Edel
3D Packaging of Critically Acclaimed Album Reveals Special Message on CD
LOS ANGELES, CA—September 23, 2011—Chickenfoot –the supergroup featuring guitarist Joe Satriani, drummer Kenny Aronoff, former Van Halen bassist Michael Anthony and frontman Sammy Hagar – have announced “The 2011 Road Test Tour,” the first live performance dates in support of the band’s forthcoming Chickenfoot III. The band will play five US concerts in support of Chickenfoot III due September 27th from eOne Music in North America and around the world by earMUSIC/Edel, taking them through San Francisco, Los Angeles, St. Louis, Chicago and New York early November. Venues and ticket on-sale information will be announced October 3rd.
Chickenfoot will offer fans a very special free Live Concert Webcast: Chickenfoot Presents “III” at 6PM PACIFIC DAYLIGHT TIME on TUESDAY, SEPETMBER 27TH. The band will perform tracks from the new album at TRI Studios in Marin County, California and host a 30-minute Q&A session with the fans at www.chickenfoot.us. Fans can submit their questions to be included in the live Q&A session at www.chickenfoot.us leading up to the live webcast. The webcast will rebroadcast on the band’s website on September 28th at NOON PACIFIC DAYLIGHT TIME.
Chickenfoot III, produced by Mike Fraser, features an elaborately designed 3D package with optical illusions and special codes giving fans a fully immersed creative Chickenfoot experience, creating a spectacle with spectacles. With special “3D optical enhancers,” otherwise known as old-skool 3D glasses that come with each package, the cover and inside photos feature artwork that trick the eye by looking through the two different red and blue lenses of the glasses. Having used a special state-of-the-art 3D camera rig to create the designs, Chickenfoot gives fans a truly multi-dimensional experience throughout the packaging that also offers a 3D photo of each band member with stats and Q&As, QR codes for behind the scenes 3D video content from the photo shoot on smartphones and much more. A look through the red lens even reveals a very special message on the CD itself.
The first single, “Big Foot,” debuted at #1 on the Mediabase Classic Rock Chart holding the position for seven weeks and earning over 1.85 million listeners and continues to receive critical acclaim:
“‘Big Foot’ is sinewy, muscular and abundantly familiar – but in a good way. As Hagar sings, ‘that s*** rocks.’” – Billboard Magazine.
"Chickenfoot light a fire under rock 'n' roll's collective ass, setting the pace for the genre as a whole. Chickenfoot III melds monstrous grooves and virtuoso playing in one of the year's best rock records,” writes Rick Florino of ARTISTdirect.com.
In support of the album, Hagar will be the special guest of the week on VH1’s That Metal Show debuting on Saturday, September 24th and throughout the week. On the big screen, Satriani has a cameo in this weekend’s hotly anticipated big screen feature Moneyball, starring Brad Pitt.
Chickenfoot III features 10 tracks with so many moments of epiphany that one can barely take them all in on first listen. Colossal, stadium-shaking riffs abound on earth-movers such as “Alright, Alright,” “Last Temptation” and “Lighten Up.” Tradition meets innovation on the Nashville pop-tinged “Different Devil,” the Delta-blues flavored “Something Going Wrong” and the aching rock ballad “Come Closer.” Special video releases and more can be seen at the band’s webpage (www.chickenfoot.us), as well as their podcast, YouTube, Facebook and Google+ pages. Chickenfoot III follows the band’s 2009 debut album, which debuted at #3 on the Billboard Top 100 and was certified gold for sales of over 500,000 units by the Recording Industry Association of America.
THE 2011 ROAD TEST TOUR DATES**:

November 2 Los Angeles, CA
