Interview with Eden’s Edge
CL: I’m Christian Lamitschka and today, we have ……
EE: Eden’s Edge.
CL: Eden’s Edge is a new band on Big Machine Records and they have out their first single.
EE: Yes, we actually are releasing our first single next month, it’s called “Amen”. We are going on Tour this Summer with Brad Paisley.
CL: That’s awesome! Maybe somebody doesn’t much about you, can you please introduce yourselves to our readers, listeners, and our pears here?
EE: Of course! My name is Hanna Blaylock; I’m Dean Burner; I’m Sheryl Greene.
CL: Can you tell us a little bit about what kind of music you are playing?
EE: Yea, we are all from Arkansas and we kind of came from three different backgrounds of versions of country music. I came from American/Folk type of country, back ground to what I grew up with. Dean grew up with more of rock kind of country background, and Sheryl grew up with more of a bluegrass driven background. So we all mold those together to what Eden’s Edge is sounding is. It’s very acoustic instruments driven, harmony driven; lot’s of vocal up front. It’s organic rootsy country.
CL: Tell us a little bit about how it is to be on the road, in the studio, and spending time with two beautiful girls.
EE: (Dean) It’s a pretty rough life (laughing) I’m kidding. We have been together seven years. It’s really a family dynamic that we have going now. I grew up with two brothers and getting to have kind of two sisters in my life. It’s been educational. It’s been a lot of fun. (Hanna) His wife better thank us one day, which’s all I can say, haha. We’re in the same for each other. Like we say “your husband, better thank us” it’s like being married being in the band. Being siblings, married, all that stuff.
CL: How did you sign to Big Machine Records?
EE: (Sheryl) We were playing in Arkansas for several years before moving to Nashville and we were out there, we were entering songs into this songwriting competition and this famous songwriter out of Nashville discovered us and wanted us to meet with her. She kind of encouraged the three of us, the young ones in the group too, to move to Nashville. If you really wanna do it, you really have to move here. We lived here for years, and last year, she got inducted to the Country Music Hall Of Fame of this songwriting association. She got us to play a medley of her hits, which have been hits on Barbara Mandrel and Sylvia in Nobody. Really great songs! Basically, we hadn’t played out in Nashville at all, so the whole music industries haven’t heard from us until of us until that night. That night, Scot Rochetta from Big Machine saw us there with his head band, Alison and he told Alison, find out and sign them (Eden’s Edge) tonight.
CL: Can you tell me something about the background about the song you are releasing next month?
EE: (Hanna) Sure, we wrote this song basically what it would be like to grow up in a small town. That’s where we are from, we all grew up in a triangle atmosphere.

COUNTRY ROCKER MATT KENNON PERFORMS FREE ALL AGES CONCERT
AT HARD ROCK CAFÉ ON THE BEST BUY STAGE DURING CMA FESTIVAL JUNE 12TH
WHO: Matt Kennon
WHAT: FREE ALL AGES CONCERT - THE BEST BUY / HARD ROCK ENTERTAINMENT STAGE
WHERE: Hard Rock Café Nashville, 100 Broadway, Nashville, TN 37201 (Corner of 2nd Avenue & Broadway)
WHEN: Jun 12, 2011 - 4:15 – 4:45pm
Country rocker and indie success story Matt Kennon (www.mattkennon.com) came to Nashville with the credo “record contract or restraining order” when he left the clubs of his native Atlanta Georgia. His grit and determination led him to top the charts with a #1 Heatseeker on the Billboard charts and a Top 20 (#19) for 2010’s self-titled Matt Kennon that included the radio hit “The Call”. The song struck a chord with listeners and spoke of a well-timed phone call that dealt with Kennon’s personal experiences regarding suicide and teen pregnancy and the emotionally-charged video received airplay on both GAC and CMT. “The Call” video is approaching 3 million views on YouTube.com with online hits totaling over 5 million.
Bobby Peacock of Roughstock.com commented “Matt Kennon's debut is a surprisingly fresh sound, and a testament to the treasures that can be found on the smaller, independent labels. While at times it's more rock than country, the consistently potent lyrics and gritty vocals are a killer combination”.
The whiskey-voiced Georgian was not discouraged in the least with the demise of his record label Bamajam in 2010 and continued writing from his early life experiences of chasing whiskey, women and rock ‘n roll that culminated in the release of his sophomore release 77 in May 2011.
A southern city boy, Matt delivers songs in a country rock ‘n’ roll style depicting life, love and loss and he hopes 77 will bring more listeners to the format.
Tracks from 77 include “Drive It Like You Stole It”, “The Past Stops Here”, an unreleased version of “The Call”, and the auspicious “You Had To Pick On Me”, which deals with the topic of bullying and written by Kennon after a discussion with his sister who is a grade school teacher.
Randy Travis included the Matt Kennon/Noah Gordon penned song “Turn It Around” on his “I Told You So, the Ultimate Hits of Randy Travis” collection of greatest hits.
Kennon, who has shared the stage with Kenny Chesney, Darius Rucker, Lady Antebellum, Blake Shelton, Eric Church, Hank Williams Jr., Gretchen Wilson, Uncle Kracker, and Mark Chesnutt, has kept up an aggressive touring schedule. Upcoming live appearances include Nashville’s Hard Rock Café at the CMA Festival June 12th, and his fifth appearance at The Grand Ole Opry on July 22, 2011.

REBA AND BLAKE SHELTON RAISE $500,000 FOR OKLAHOMA TORNADO VICTIMS DURING TWO SOLD-OUT BENEFIT CONCERTS
Shows Hosted at the Choctaw Event Center In Durant, OK
All Proceeds Will Aid in the Atoka County Area’s Relief Efforts
Nashville, Tennessee (May 27, 2011) – Country superstars Reba and Blake Shelton raised $500,000 for victims of recent tornados in Atoka County, OK during two sold-out “Tornado Relief Concerts” at the Choctaw Events Center in Durant on May 25 and 26. Susie McEntire-Eaton and Kelly Clarkson made a surprise guest appearance at the May 26 relief show.
The proud Okies did not disappoint, entertaining for over two hours each night and giving their hometown friends support, songs and of course – some comedic banter. The pair co-headlined the event, opening with a duet of “Oklahoma Swing.” Armored with humor, they took turns belting out hits – occasionally harmonizing between songs and jokes – on Reba’s “The Night the Lights Went Out in Georgia,” “Why Haven’t I Heard From You,” “Turn on the Radio” and “Consider Me Gone,” as well as Shelton’s “All About Tonight,” “Goodbye Time,” “Hillbilly Bone” and “Some Beach.” The duo also showcased their current singles “When Love Gets a Hold of You” (Reba) and “Honey Bee” (Blake Shelton). Reba and Shelton sent their dedicated audience home with a sense of optimism and an encore. Performing alone for the first time all evening, Shelton performed “Ol’ Red” before Reba made her solo appearance for “Fancy.”
Initially, news of the disaster prompted the stars to reach out with one fundraising event, but when it sold out in less than two hours, they announced a second show. Reba was born just outside of Kiowa, which is approximately 30 miles away from the greatest devastation. Shelton was born in Ada and currently resides in Tishomingo, less than 50 miles from the Atoka County border. All proceeds from both shows, as well as generous donations from The Choctaw Nation and fans, will go towards Atoka County’s ongoing relief efforts through the Tushka Disaster Relief Fund.
In addition to the proceeds already raised, a special mobile fundraising campaign has been set up with The mGive Foundation. Fans can text “OKGIVE” to 27722 to make a one-time $10 donation, which will be added to their monthly cell phone bill. Checks can also be made out to the Tushka Disaster Relief Fund and mailed to: 101 SE 1st Street, Tushka, OK 74525.
For more information on Reba, please visit: www.Reba.com.

Aqua Blue Recording Artist Greg Susoreny Releases New Single
May 26, 2011 - Nashville, TN "Music City U.S.A." - Aqua Blue Records will be releasing the second single "What's On Your Mind" from Greg Susoreny's debut album Ramblin' Man as a follow up from "Please Come Home Tonight" which gain attention after it reached Top 10 on both the FMQB and New Music Weekly's Adult Contemporary national charts.
"What's On Your Mind", as an up tempo and risque song, has a different vibe than the majority of the songs on "Ramblin' Man". "You can definitely move your hips to this song." states Susoreny
Encouraged by the success of "Please Come Home Tonight" and anticipating "What's On Your Mind" to do very well at radio, Susoreny is making a name for himself as an artist and music producer. Susoreny wrote, produced and arranged his album "Ramblin' Man".
"I am thankful that I was involved in every aspect of the creative process. I love writing music and working on the production side. I worked with some of Nashville's finest musicians to record "Ramblin' Man" explains Susoreny
Performing on "Ramblin' Man" are top Nashville session musicians, including Jonathon Yudkin on strings/mandolin (Rascal Flatts, Keith Urban, Shania Twain, Bon Jovi), Danny Parks on Acoustic, Electric and Gut-String Guitars, (Kenny Chesney, Toby Keith, Brooks & Dunn), Jay Vern on piano/Hammond B3 (Garth Brooks, Trisha Yearwood), Wayne Killius on drums/percussion (Aaron Tippin, Toby Keith, Big & Rich), and Sam Levine on saxophone (Amy Grant, Brooks & Dunn, Trey Anastasio).
The debut album "Ramblin' Man" outlines the joys and aggravations of being restless and rootless and is available on iTunes and at www.gregsusoreny.com.
